Timex watches are usually tougher than Titan. They use very durable movements that are known to be very tough and long lasting. In the 60s and 70s , to go along with their brand tagline " takes a licking and Keeps on ticking", they had some crazy ads with Timex watches being put through a variety of torture tests, like tying them to baseball bats and hitting baseballs with it and fixing them to arrowheads and shooting them through glass panes. They were the toughest watches before casio G-shocks came along in the 1980s. However, judging from the prices, both of these watches in the video must be using cheaper Chinese quartz movements, so they both might be of the same quality. Timex watches that use their own movements are the named models like Expedition, weekender, Marlin, Q and Ironman, they all cost over 6.5k.
Edit: I am sorry , I totally forgot that Timex have their own factory in Noida which makes and exports over 3 million watches every year . I went through their website after watching this video and it turns out they have a lot of models that they make in India. So that could be the reason why they are cheap and not Chinese parts.
