    Looks great! Thanks for the walk around. I like what you've done with yours. My 1101 is still pretty basic, but it's served us pretty well on the one camping trip my family has gone on.

      ours started out very basic and slowly upgraded based on how we use it. i advocate doing upgrades slowly. its a capable platform with many possibilities its easy to go overboard. good luck!

    Great Build. Just bought the very same trailer. You don't happen to have the details of that rack build still laying around by chance?

    • @expeditionaryfamily
      @expeditionaryfamily  2 месяца назад

      The rack was custom built. I just took it to a metal shop. Told them what I want then built it from DOM pipes. It was originally designed to have telescoping corners but broke so we welded it in place to a good height for us.

    Sweet rig! How was the lock and roll install? What are the pros and cons? I'm about to buy either an m1101 or m1102

    • @expeditionaryfamily
      @expeditionaryfamily  4 месяца назад +1

      the install was not bad. had to drill a 5/8 hole for the bolt across. i remember having to freeze the trailer side hitch overnight so it slips into the trailer easier.
      the lock n' roll hitch itself works great. it is a little hard to line up then connecting.

      @@expeditionaryfamily I might have to go down that route. I'm picking up mine next week. All of your videos are helpful, I started following you Instagram, thanks for answering questions.

    I’m very interested in how you converted to lock and roll hitch. Did you have to do any fabrication and how did you bolt up to trailer? Great rig.

    • @expeditionaryfamily
      @expeditionaryfamily  7 месяцев назад

      its not hard. we just removed the pintle hitch assembly including the oil reservoir then drilled a hole through. we then just inserted a 3 foot long hitch and bolted through the hole. nothing to it.

    Hello nice rig! can you tell me if you bought the tent rack/riser or is it a custom build ?

    • @expeditionaryfamily
      @expeditionaryfamily  Год назад +2

      the base is an M1101 military humvee trailer. we had the rack custom built. we then bought and added all the other components!

    Were you able to keep the mechanical hand brakes when you changed to the electric braking system?

      yes! we replaced the brake assemble with a Dexter E-brake that has a hand brake attachment.

      i don't. but i can do one. its really not that difficult. the worst part is figuring out which ones connects to the right and left signal lights.
