    Do you think these are good changes for overwatch 2?
    I personally think it's a good change even though its similar to paladins 😂

      kinda yeah, game is more fun but it lost kinda it competitive site, I mean now console players like me can heat their shots more often, as kiriko main my kunai throws goes wild rn XD

      Higher time to kill and easier shots reward skilled players.
      Because if you have more time to a duel there are more ways to strategies, and less lucky fast kills.
      If you make shots easier to land, then a good player will find ways of avoiding thoses against a worst player that will just try to shoot the enemy. While not being at luck's mercy when correctly aiminh a slightly spreading weapon. ​@@Zebrix10

    Vora would also be my pick If I had to take a paladins character to put in ow.
    Its not even my favorite flank. But it would translate so well.

    I kept posting this in many comment sections or on reddit.
    But to me it's just the hero shooter genre finding it's footing.
    Tf2 was a hero shooter only in form. Deep down it's just regular fps with classes. In cod a guy wanting to play with a sniper would have used tools to play sniper anyway.
    But games like ow and paladins and batlleborn, and gigantic. They are hard to place under the same genre.
    Because after years of tf2 domination it felt like it was already established. So everyone went their own vastly different ways. Ow kept the switching minds match and 6v6. Paladins and gigantic kept the customisation. And battleborn idk much about.
    That's good and alla but since tf 2 wasn't a proper base for thegenre. And they all went different. It's normal that after years we see them converge to what actually work.
    And turns out for a hero shooter, their most important part is the hero fantasy. Move fast, do stupid stuff and heal a lot.
    You don't wanna nerf any of tjoses directly. So you make shot easier to land you increase ttk so that you have time to think about strategies, or have time to do stupid ones. And you add an anti heal mechanic sk that you can omega heal someone but not when the enemy team is on you.
    Paladins found thoses much earlier. And there is a reason why caut was never taken away. Why power creep was always gate kept despite broken stats being infused in paladins customisation. And hitbox es never getting fixed.
    It just worked.
    Ans seeing how gigantic and batlle born are coming back I'm wondering if they went the same route as well.

      what did i just read?
      Tf2 is just as much a hero shooter as overwatch or paladins.
      The reason overwatch and tf2 are diffrent is because overwatch is a hero shooter with moba like abilitys and tf2 is just a hero shooter.
      Saying that "Moving fast, doing stupid stuff and healing alot" is the most important part of a hero shooter is also a bit dumb because "Moving fast, doing stupid stuff and healing alot" simply means "having fun", and having fun is important in ANY game no matter what genre.

      ok i may not have been understood right.
      Tf2 look so much like an hero shooter, for the sole reason the character and classes all have their unique personalities.
      In practice, the classes just prevent you from using other clases weapons. so at the end of the day you chose to play sniper, or medic, or demoman. but not a mix of all three.
      In a regular fps, you might be able to pick all three weapons, a sniper, a grenade launcher, and supports items. ut its not optimal. and you are much more suited to bth have fun and win more by focusing on one weapn and style of play per build.
      at the end of the day, you chose you play tf2 more like a regular fps, than a hero shooter. this doesnt mean it isnt an hero shooter. just that its characterisation was so strong it maunched a whole new genre instead of just being a spin on regular shooters.
      fps focus on shooting with variend weapons to kill enemies. moba focus on characters each having their own way of killing you. hero shoters is right in between.
      every tf2 class mainly use their weapons to kill you. and all have a characteristic or ability that help them with using siad weapon or fitting a certin role. with the wildest class being the medic and scoot since they are the only ones that really tap in someting different than shooting. heal and mobility. its closer to a
      while in hero shooters you mainly pick a character for its abilities. and if you pick him for its weapons its probably because its better against some other charater ability like a flying character for example. its much closer to moba than tf2. right down the middle
      and while for example, street fighter was a spin on beat them up. and games of a similar genre came up the year right after sf2's release. establishig in a few years what is still to this day the base of what make a fighting game. life bars, super bar, combos, special cancels, and all the smaller stuff like high low mixup, block rules and projectile counter play.
      Tf 2 on the other hand stayed alone in that genre for years. and it was so good that when paladns, ow, battleborn and gigantic started devolopement, it would have made no sense to make tf2 again. so they all went in vastly ifferent ways.
      Tf2 was not quite there yet. its sold its hero fantasy through crazy characterisation and customisable clases thats still had their uniqueness from one another.
      whle all@@SnowDoggo the new hero shooters shot way past the base of what make an hero shooter. they all knew what made it good, characters and varied kits. but they all tried their own way of making it it work while trying to do more than tf2. more mobility, wierder mechanics, and more heal to name a few. thats whats fun, because tahts why you play a hero shooter and not a regular one.
      so while tf2 just worked because it didnt mmoved to far from regular shooters, only two character have mobility, only one can heal others etc. it didt need to reinvnt the wheel.
      Paladins and such that made more impactuful and varied ways of doing all that. had to, reinvent the wheel to keep what made the hero shooter what it is work.
      thats what i meant with tf2 isnt really a hero shooter. it created a genre just because of its form. exaclty how street fighter 1 mechanics were just regular beat them up, but 1v1 and no depth.
      Tf2 made an fps first and spiced it up with characters being different and fun instead of fully customisable and serious.
      and street fighter made a boss rush beat them all with paterns and all.
      while ow paladins, etc. made cool characters with different, varied and more extreme abilities first, that had to build a comp around the enemy team to shoot them down.
      And street fighter 2 made a focus on playing against a human ponent with variend skill and all. instead of the solo experence of the first one.
      all im saying is that tf2 had the look and idea. but only tippy towed in that new genre. it didnt espablished the base. just the ideas.
      you other question is much easier to answer and i wont loose myself in prob useless arguments.
      yeah thats fun in any game. BUUUUUUUUT.
      hero shooters dont have extreme peed or heals etc by default. its givent to you by your chracter abilities. a hero shooter is unbalanced as hell in that regard. some go fast, some heal a lot, some have energy bars that boost them up. its because not every characters have that characteristic that it give yoyu the hero fantasy.
      (thats also a way to show that tf2 dint tapped that much in the genre since most characters act the same with varied ranges and dps. there is really only medic and scoot that are different. and thoses have easly been dealt with since the rest of the cast has acces to the similar tools. just lower both of their health.)

    Next they'll add customizable options for heros depending on your play style to resemble paladins- oh wait...PvE was scrapped.

    Vora was also copied from Black desert Awekening Sorceress: Scythe, collecting dark points up to 5, 5 of them gives you bonus stuff 🙄, attacks with inbuilt selfhealing, corrupted female, hypermobility-low HP, damage immune melee range area attack...

    Just the same games.
    Paladins 2 needs to happen I feel like because it still had potential to be a good game. It’s sad saying that too because it’s been out for YEARS and it’s still just so MID.
    Imagine how fun it’ll be if they updated to unreal engine 5, Worked on the UI especially, Stopped the insane greedy monetization with everything being slapped on our face.
    Yes I do think they can make paladins 2 because it’s still a source of income for them and it still has people playing but if they stopped focusing on the money side and actually make the game good it can be a overwatch competitor again.

    I hate the word copy, no one really copied from each other in this scenario, self healing was in early Call of duty, which means paladins and overwatch are copying CoD right? No, because it’s just a staple mechanic at this point in any game, self healing, oh dps passiv, 20% healing reduction, was something in classic World of Warcraft for sure, does that mean blizzard is copying from themselves? Ramattra and the paladins punching hero comparison has to be a joke at this point, bro they are both copying Mike tyson, who punches and blocks, and I bet u he would pull out a gun if need be in a war situation no??

    Its copying and make it better. The new season 9 made everything so much better. Its an huge upgrade. Not like the last paladins update many useless and random changes. Items change where many still are shit for the most part(trigger and lethality). I feel like hirez is choosing champs randomly by dice who gets buff and who not

      Red items are insanely hard to design and keep them balanced (dealing more damage is not a good offensive item)
      Why play overwatch? The balance isn't really better and with the recent update it has taken away what differentiated it from paladins - fast gameplay that relies on aim
      There is genuinely no reason to play OW anymore unless you really like the characters..

      @@pro_gemer the balance is much better in terms of competitive. Ow get actually good balance patches and hotfixes that shake up the game but dont break it by randomly buffing some random champ like paladins does. Yeah the red items are weird. Wrecker bulldozer nicht against specific enemys, reload speed only on very few champs and trigger lethality being just shit. Really not great balanced. Same as the other item colours. Its far from clean and balanced

      If paladins stole characters from OW, OW stole characters from paladins. Mauga is basically raum. Hampter is basically ruckus.
      Oh yeah, sombra is basically skye.

      @@godlyvex5543 I agree with Sombra but disagree with the rest. Ruckus is more like DVA than Hamster. Mauga was a PvE unit from 2018 called "Heavy Assault" that they turned into a hero because of how many people liked the PvE unit.

      @@ElixoYT Ruckus certainly isn't like DVA. Ruckus and DVA share one ability, the rockets. Ruckus and hammond share two. Dual machine guns, and the shield generator. The concept is also more similar, with a small guy piloting a machine that can talk. DVA's machine doesn't talk.

    Interesting to hear you say healers are OP in OW2, I feel like they’re totally underwhelming. I’d prefer they heal more, so you get longer skirmishes rather than 2-shotted because you can’t heal people fast enough

      Healers in overwatch feel extremely difficult to kill, but many of them also lack dueling potential. In paladins, healers feel like damages who can also heal teammates. They just feel more fun and balanced in paladins.

      Overwatch was an MMO Futuristic game that started development in 2007 (it was called project titan) and had the exact same lore. Game was taking too long to make so they decided to scale down and make it a shooter.

    paladins project was announced and started 1 years before overwatch... and overwatch is build of the abandonned project of MMORPG "titan" which they just I guess reused asset and went into the looter shooter seeing the market going that way... and with the staff and ressource they have.. they finished and launched that earlier than paladins... and paladins screwed up their esport, their marketing... and they lost alot of momentum in the early time going to p2w model even if they rolled that back... they still lost momentum there.
    funny thing is that Gigantic is making a come back!!!

    Your acting like it’s a paladins only thing, also even if they did paladins stole way more. To your point of they were made at the same time, no. Overwatch was developing in 2014 and released in 2016 while paladins beta was released in 2018

    Overwatch is a counter picking game where you get completely shut down simply because somebody plays a counter although you can play whoever you want if you are a better player than the enemy overall.
    Paladins is a game where you can play whoever you want into whatever team and if you're good enough at the character you're playing you'll make it work.
    Let's be honest they are pretty much the same game for different audiences.
    If you want to feel like you're impacting the game with little input, Overwatch'a counter pick system allows you to pick a character solely bc they counter somebody on the enemy team and get value from it,
    And if you want to have bigger brawls and more individual skill expression in your games Paladins will fit you better

      In an equal team If some of youre team gets countered by some enemys u play a losing game. even with items u cant get a bad matchup to work in youre favour

    emm Kirby Suzu heals more when u cleanse negative effect normally its not worthit to throw suzu for no reason better leave for save which is now harder because immortality effect last quicker than before

      ​@@kusolp544you know, if the public didn't knew ram kit 1 Month before nix got released. Then paladins devs didn't either.
      A punching character with a slowing projectile, a zone that does damage around you, and a damage reduction is just a pretty normal idea. It's in a lot of games such as brawl stars, lol, others.
      The shield here is the only coincidence.
