Great performance from the lads last night. The right team selection and balance in the team by Eddie, so props to him... let's hope its a turning point for us this season. Isak had Van Dijk on toast in the 1st half, megging him to set Hall through, and then minutes later, had him twisted up and unleashing a thundercunt of a goal. SANDRO, what a player... lad's a machine, silky, intelligent, technical. He's different gravy. But it's no good turning up against the big boys, if we can't do it against the smaller teams... however, this puts us in good stead for the upcoming fixtures... if we can do this in the cup match then I'll be happy. Let's see how this weekend goes! ⬛️⬜️
It’s just a long-standing pattern that in fairness predates Howe - we can get it up for the big 6, we can’t for the teams below. You know who it changed under? Rafa. Because, there we had a no nonsense task master but also a WINNER who would not accept that bullshit. Superb home wins under Rafa against West Ham, Bournemouth and Burnley, I know, I was there. Nice guy Eddie is softer than ice cream in the Sahara, he hasn’t the aura to command the kind of respect that makes players listen to him, and his tactics in the main suck, it didn’t matter last night because it was a frenetic match played at such a pace, and the best players get themselves zoned for those games. But believe me, Howe is not the man to take this club further. People can think what there want but you’re on the road to nowheresville if you think otherwise. I remain firmly, staunchly, unashamedly howe out, and that position is one I take simply because I want this club I’ve supported all my life, my first match attended on a cold blustery day in 1976, to be all it can. Demand nothing, deserve nothing. Too many happy clappers who are happy with a pint and pasty on a Saturday - nothing wrong with either but in the wise words of mr Royston Keane, let’s turn up for more than just the sing song
We definitely should have x2 pens, without question. Yes, I'm biased. But, im also not blind. Dont get me started on the early final whistle from the scouse ref - his ears must of been still ringing from slot, at half time 🤔. Totally agree Chris, Tonali needs to *stay in this team. & as you said, as well as intensity, we must have **consistency in our identity, from now on. Esp against the weaker teams....
Missed one or two other things as well.. Before Salah gets his goal he has a clear dive but instead of booking Salah and giving a free kick out he plays on...Also in injury time when Wilson was taken down near the box he was about to book McAllister and realised he was already booked..He should have been off..
People maybe dont realise how difficult Schar's goal was! I bet you could try 100 times and not score like that again!
Nice one Fabby 👍
Great performance from the lads, however, the biggest test of where we are wasn't last night, it's unfashionable Brentford away
Great review of the game.

Consistency really is key.
Disappointed we didn't get the 3 points.. Cause. We deserved it.. Glad we didn't fold like a deckchair...referee was a piss take as was var..
Virgil should have definitley got a red card. It was done on purpose not a mistake hi directly ran towards him and hit him.
Great analysis Chris
IMO the team looked better balanced with Murphy down the right, he certainly pummelled the Liverpool goal and shudda scored early doors

In game management still a concern 4 subs left when we were out on our feet 10 mins before they scored
The whistle had been blown to be fair to end the game if you watch closely and I'm black nd white class performance from newcastle though..amazing
Whatever laaaaaaaaa
Start the same team against Brentford, Ipswich and Leicester and let’s see if we get nine points
9 points could be a game changer, George. December is when teams start to separate.
Are these lads turning up against top teams to put themselves in the shop window?
Good result and performance.
Can I be the first entitled baby to say "Eddie out" for the next time we don't win...whenever that happens?
need to do it against lesser teams now
Eddie couldve picked this team from match 1

Ah yes! I forgot all about McAlister mate!
You'll definitely be 9k by the time I get back home(Tuesday). Do I win something with that prediction?
Think what we could do if we had Salah on the right wing!
It wasn't to a man Murphy was not good enough! He should have scored at least twice and we would have won.
if the CARPENTER could stop aiming for the fekin post all da time we wld won .jacob MISSY lol
Not consistent enough so just a mid table side
