The unique thing about this video idea is that you get the relaxation of being a passenger and enjoying the sounds and views, with none of the background noise of the animal brain giving intrusive thoughts about the possibility of a wreck happening. Which I think prevents me from true relaxation while actually in the car. But THIS. This is it. Great vid ER! -viewer for 10 years
I like this video. A lot. One of the most relaxing things for me is sitting in a car, listening to the low roar of the tires on the asphalt, and watching the scenery fly by. I speak for many others in saying that I think you should make more of this content!
This is one of my all time favorite OG asmr triggers. I had a really scary childhood but there were those times when my family was in the car; it was quiet and I could stare out the window, mesmerized by the fast moving world beyond us or I could close my eyes and just listen to all the car sounds...it was so rare that I ever felt safe, but on some of those drives, I did. THANK YOU. I'll absolutely be revisiting this video often.
Always love your Philly content. I remember years ago when you went on Preston and Steve! That was insane to hear on my way into school that morning haha.
When I was younger, my Dad used to drive me in my car seat on the highway when I could not sleep. To this day, I always fall asleep when I'm a passenger on the highway even as an adult.
Makes me feel like a little kid going for a car ride. I miss those days. I rode the same route through Philly and Wilmington on my way down to Maryland from upstate NY. Thanks for this!
Legit reminds me of the car rides my mother would go on to bring me home from my grandmother every other weekend as a child. I live in Denmark so especially during Fall/winter/early spring it was always dark. Something about the yellow lights and the lack of many cars on the road...it was like another, timeless world. Didn't think i'd re-live that memory here today.
I'm actually pondering that drive myself. Obviously can't film the entire drive, maybe timelapse, I don't know. But we'll see if that thought turns into realitylol
I love this video! I used to go to a beach at summer with my family that is 1000 km away, and we always went there in night, this is so nostalgic i love it.
This reminds me of all times me, my dad, and my sister would drive a state over to visit my grandma. It would always be dark when we finally got to her house, and those long drives could be very soothing
This is just fantastic ER, I’m a very tall person so sleeping in the car on a long rid was always so difficult. But now I can have the view and sounds and lay perfectly flat I’m my bed thank you so much .
I still remember, when I was a child, how relaxing it was to drive with my dad. To get me to sleep, he took me for a drive: relaxing and peaceful moments. I love my dad. Thanks uncle ER for reminding me of these moments.
As soon as I saw the video title Kavinsky - Nightcall popped into my mind. so i just have it playing really low in the background, and i have to say. its a really trippy experience(in a good way). hard to explain some might say.... Thanks for the videos Rift, I know I always enjoy them.
My family used to save enough money for us to go to France every year. The drive to Dover to get the Ferry and the drive back always made for the most relaxing experiences when I was a kid❤️
More asmrists should do this but also add talking. Like an rp of you and friend go out for a night drive or something. Idk maybe it just sounds good to me.
Used to take this expressway back down to the Eastern Shore, MD after every Phillies game we’d go to between the years of 2008-2011. This is not only nostalgic, I travel this route almost everyday for work. This is my home. 18:05-18:15 thats literally Chester! I pass those buildings everyday on my way home from work😂 what a small world we live in
I’m from southern MD, Uncle E, but I’m surprised how similar everything looks. We’re really not far from each other geographically at all! Hope the trip goes well!
This is a road some people drive every day. They experience the sights and sounds of this road every day. And I have never even heard of this stretch of road. And I have my own stretch of road I experience every day.
You gotta go through i95N to Connecticut & Rhode Island! There's great scenery and it holds a special place in my heart bc of car rides through there when I was younger.
That's quite a ways up North, don't know if that'll ever happen, but i'll add it to my list ;) I actually want to the ENTIRE I-95 drive lolol doubt it'll happen tho
I did a night drive for no reason other than to clear my head about a year ago. Ended up in a country town about 79 miles away, bought a bottle of water from the 24/7 fuel station and drove back. Didn't take too long to get to bed once I got home.
I happen to live in Southern Maryland. I-95 is really crucial for connecting us with Baltimore/DC. The Francis Scott Key Bridge, aka I-695, was attacked last week by a runaway barge and did catastrophic damage. It will be closed indefinitely. Other routes crucial to Maryland include both US Route 13 and US Route 50
Its kinda funny, I flew from Texas to Philadelphia for the first time today - and this is undoubtedly the farthest I've been from home - and you've uploaded this video a day before my arrival to the airport you drove right by. What a coincidence, lol (and omg, the amount of hills in PA, wtf! I'm not used to views including anything but flat grassland lol!).
If you ever get the chance Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina (particularly during the fall) is beautiful. Many trails and picnic/camping areas along the route. And a tour of Linville Caverns on Grandfather Mountain
Another Fascinating place to visit is Cades Cove Scenic Loop in Blount County, Tennesse. 11 mile loop around the Cove traveled by vehicle. Several walking trials as well.
I think he even can sit on the toilet and whisper something and it would let me sleep in seconds. But the sleepy dissonance video is the best I ever heard. It would be nice if u can show what u really we're doing there😂👍
@@EphemeralRift have you ever done Lincoln or Kelly drive? Definitely gorgeous scenery! I was driving home today and it was slow traffic for once, so you could really take it all in :D
Might want to get that squeaking sound checked out. It's not likely the serpentine belt because it doesn't increase with the revs, but still might be worth checking out before it fails.
The unique thing about this video idea is that you get the relaxation of being a passenger and enjoying the sounds and views, with none of the background noise of the animal brain giving intrusive thoughts about the possibility of a wreck happening. The only time in history driving on I-95 has been relaxing
Love to see how different places in the world look like❤

It's literally just abstract art now.
Grew up in that area. Hated every minute, finally moving away was probably the greatest moment of my life
That's literally home for me that area is so recognizable. I love this video so cool.

Thank you ER for the free ASMR ride. ❤
haha anytime!
I love night drives, I find them very peaceful and relaxing so this video is perfect. Chefs kiss
I love the yellow lighting at night. I find it so much more relaxing than the LEDs some cities have.
