I’m sitting putting in my first real dreads 🤗 after so long of having synthetic ones in ... I’m on day 2 and Iv pretty much binge watched your channel 😂 I’m so looking forward to my own journey after so long of wanting my very own I look a little wild but I already love them 🥰 so thanks for keeping me entertained you have super content 👏🏼👌🏼👍🏼
Me! Me! Me!!! You are talking straight to my heart! I have SE deadlocks and I have been adding them in myself and I really want to jump into fully locking my hair! 😍🥰🤩
I love your style and your whole vibe. Thank you for keeping it real! I have been wanting to add some peach ends to my dreads, but have also been low on funds...they are still in my amazon cart though ha. Thank you for the informative videos, I love to watch them.
This was so chill to just watch when I woke up. Watching your videos on posting days is always part of my morning wake up routine! I'm handling the pandemic pretty well too. I wish my husband and I were home spending time together doing whatever we wanted 😅 we're both still working and I am grateful but there are perks to staying home I wish I could partake in. My husband added a few braids to my dreads and I love them! The Bohemian look is to die for!
Oh I love that he did that for you!! So sweet!!! I love braids so much!!! I love that I can be a part of your morning!! That makes me so happy! Thank you for supporting me!! 💕🙏🏻
@@LizaLocs I do them all the time, but I hardly ever get an audience. I can help you tho... bu maybe doing a split screen live chat sometime. I'm sure you know who I am bu now, right? I'm @dragonfitfreak on Instagram. 😉
I feel similar im still working as im an essential worker mostly on weekends now as my other half is working through the week and this way we avoid the whole keyworker childcare system that we have available here as i just feel like you should only use it if your really have no other choices thankfully both mine and my husbands workplaces have been amazing at letting us work this way. So my lifes relatively normal i dont do going out n about normally i like to be at home and doing playing with the littlest as hes 2 Its just a bit stressful because the bigger kids are home they range from 7, 8 and 13 and its hardwork trying to get them all to do schoolwork and things and projects in on time im trying to not out sooo much pressure on it all though at the same time its just such a crazy crazy time to live through. I want to go on holiday when this is all done. we were in the middle of house viewing, god i want to go back to seeing homes to try and finally settle somewhere.
Oh wow! Yes that’s a lot!!! We will cherish our new “normal life” when it comes back!! Beat wishes on your house search!! With the schooling I’m having a very laid back approach. The kids are grieving the loss of their normal too and I believe we have to focus on their mental health more than anything!!!
Absolutely agreed! Their whole worlds gone upside down and their normal is no longer existing so i totally get it and thats why iv gone quite relaxed with it now because it was so much pressure on me and the kids im not a teacher i havent a clue about half of the stuff they're meant to be doing haha!! Iv set them assignments and projects to research and develop their own accomplishments during this crazy time they are doing some things sent by school but not as much as others have that are local to me Im glad your still doing videos and that your all getting on well and staying safe! 💛
I went to your page hoping that I would see some recent videos and I was really hoping that you still make content but your last video was a year ago. So that's very very unfortunate because I got the most help with my dreads from your channel
I definitely think your hair looks better with the extensions you added. I never thought of dreadlock braids. I’m going to try it!! Also what oil did you put in the fresh extensions?!
Hi! I’ve been watching your videos as I start my journey, I have tried to do the twist/rip method on myself for a few starter dreads. It’s not really working 😔 I also have somewhat long hair (it’s layered but the long parts come down to my mid back. I’m having a really hard time when I try to dread a section, it will start out ok but half way down it starts getting super thin and I can’t make it all the way down the strand of hair. I bought some of this brand to make extensions but since my baby dread (the only one I’ve gotten to stay so far) is thin at the bottom, as well as unfinished at the end, I have no idea where/how to accurately try and attach the extension. I made the extension the way you showed in another video, but I am really struggling. It’s also several shades lighter than my natural hair 😭 any suggestions? I know this is a novel, I’m sorry! I’ve wanted to try this for so long and have tried multiple times. I really want to put 4-8 under my hair like you started with for your daughter, and leave it partial like that while I decide where to go from there, but I’d like extensions in them so they don’t look so terrible. I’m so lost! Thank you for any help, I wish I could just find someone to do it for me. 😅 I also can NOT get the hang of the crochet afterward. I don’t want them perfect by any means, I just can’t get them to work 😭😭
I would LOVE to do my own dreadies but I am too scared I will do something wrong. Watched like 100 videos about how to maintain and extend and so on and still too chicken. Any advice? Love your videos Liza ❤
Hey liza, good morning! I am not normally up this early but today I have an appointment lol, I am also from Portland Oregon and I had plans to go to Colombia to see my dad but now I'll have to wait until next year I haven't seen him since I was 12 so that sucks but having my husband home has also been really nice for me we did a lot of DIYs and I really enjoyed his company but his first day back at work was today so back to my regular life (stay at home mom) lol also we also plan on having a tiny house there is a RUclips channel call Big Living in a Tiny House, check them out I think you guys will like it they gave me great ideas for the future. Well I hope you have a good day! Your voice is so relaxing I dont even have dreads I just like watching your videos haha
Oh my gosh you’re so sweet! Thank you!!! Yay, I love that you’re an Oregonian! ❤️ I’m so sorry you’re missing out on your visit!!! Oh your life is about to get REALLY busy again isn’t it?! At least when Dave was home I could make him keep the little busy! I will definitely check out that channel!!! Thank you!! ❤️ and thank you for sharing YOUR life with ME! Are you on IG?
Good question!!! Believe me I tried it all when I had synthetics attached to my locs for a few months and nothing changed them. So I am not sure if it did much good or bad. I would stay away from using aloe on them but oils essential oils for smell is more than fine!!!
Are you here for the braids or the chit chat?!
Liza Jayne The chit chat!!! Love hearing you 💕
Both!
My #1 cheerleader! Thank you Anne!!!
Yay!!! Thank you!

I had started a crafting business then got sick. Been frustrating dealing with that. But gives us time to work on my hair lol
The silver lining!!! I hope you’re on the mend! 💕🙏🏻
I loved the beginning Mr Rogers moment 💚

At home, on a budget.......me! Any chance you’d discuss coloring the roots? At 48 I’m about 25% gray & need to do mine every 3 weeks. Thanks Beauty🧡

@@LizaLocs haha yes it is it was nice when my husband could help out I sure will miss that lol and him hehe but yeah my name is jayy_lo31 :)
I’ve always wondered do you think using aloe vera and oils on synthetic extensions help or harm them? Wanted to use it on mine but always unsure 🤔
Good question!!! Believe me I tried it all when I had synthetics attached to my locs for a few months and nothing changed them. So I am not sure if it did much good or bad. I would stay away from using aloe on them but oils essential oils for smell is more than fine!!!
If you were to do some trimming to have different length locs how do you decide which ones to cut I’m too nervous to just wing it
Shorter on top, make sure you can still do styles you love with the length you give yourself, and go small, you can always trim more if you want!!!
(I’ve never actually trimmed, it’s just extensions in or out 🙈)
What kind of oil do you use for your dreads??
I’m now using Dollylocks Conditioning Oil! Save with my code LIZALOCS or check out my vids on how to make your own!
