    He had a bad series against Denver but dont forget his contributions during the regular season that helped the Lakers reached the 7th seed, and also he has a good series vs GSW and MEM, I wouldn't mind if they bring him back for the RIGHT PRICE, he's still young and he can learn from this past playoff experience and be better moving forward

Just an interesting contrast from Lebron saying success only comes with winning a championship, and dlo says it was super successful to make it to WCF. Shows how different mindsets they have, and makes sense because Dlo probably already settled for making it to the WCF that he wasn’t as invested into the games as Lebron was. I understand he had one bad series, but the truth is Denver hunted him, exposed him, and it affected his offensive game. He gets rattled, doesn’t have a counter move, or a lot of force to run through obstacles and get to the basket. A high salary core player simply can’t have a bad series. Maybe a bad game. This is a pattern and narrative of his career. We do need to retain his cap hold because it’s spending power…hopefully a reasonable price at around $20M or even under

      Only if DLo can accept like a 15 mil/year deal instead of his 32 mil/year deal. If he thinks he expects a pay bump or even deserving of 31 mil is just nuts with his stock right now. It would be wise of DLo if he would sacrifice 1 -2 years to earn his keep as to why he deserves more money instead of thinking he deserves it because he does not. I have rarely seen bball players take that road to try to prove why they are that way. Schroeder tried to do that this season after being humble from the Lakers and Celtics.

If that means I’m off the bench, I accept it” but instead he makes it about him.

      @ryanbeltran9413 Год назад +4

      Dude I get the point and I wish D lo breaks off this mentality but I swear people like to act orally superior and project into others.
      D lo isn’t the only on not just in basketball but in life. People are complicated and have different personalities. Not everyone is the same and it’s sucks and I wish people had more ability to not get caught up in ego things, but people have to understand or just vilify someone for these traits.
      It sucks man cause I believe D lo is not the worst person and believe he can be better as a player on and off the court.
      You have to get too this is like the first time he was benched ever since maybe his rookie or sophomore year.
      He has been starter for a long time whether you like it or not and people either trusted him or failed to be more hard on him. As a fan I honestly wish he was removed as a starter after game 1 or 2. I think he has has needed tocbe benched for a while but at least Ham did it last night and hopefully D lo learns.
      Dude if you love the game and believe in yourself so much sometimes it can be tough when you get demoted. Also like you’re a general and you get demoted to lieutenant even though you maybe feel you earned that over the years.
      I know D lo isn’t perfect and I don’t agree with many of his antics or comments many times, but I think this is something is true for many others.
      Basketball is a sport that enables a lot of this behavior man. I wish it can stop but it’s part of it and hopefully people like Dclo grown out of it and many players have had this and brown from it. Like I wish people had more understanding and looked into context and than trying to be right about someone negatively.

      And he said he wanted to be professional and not ruin the team’s vibes. That isn’t anything wrong to say. Maybe not best response but not everyone’s can be PC and perfect man. I agree he should know he was okaying bad and deserved to come off the bench but as Insaid he maybe believed he can still
      Help winning by starting and it’s a hard thing for many players to accept at times.
      It’s hard when so many are talented and have legit talent but sometimes not good enough. You can’t make the NBA without some confidence but sometimes it can be too much.

    It's amazing how the Lakers always need a scapegoat when they have a bad season. First, it was Frank Vogel, then Russell Westbrook, often Darvin Ham, and now D'Angelo Russell.......ignoring the positives and focusing on the negatives. So predictable!!!!!

  • @davidparks4835

    He needs to work on his awareness on defensive assignments and actually try to play defense. And increase his speed, quickness, and conditioning to keep up with fast guards like Russ, Fox, Ja, Steph, and Maxey. He is one of the slowest guards in the league. His strength and height as a combo guard is his advantage that he could use against those faster guys if he really worked on his isolation game and post moves. He should study guys less athletic guys like Luka, Fultz, and Murray who use their size to get by defenders and earn high percentage shots. Many times in the playoffs he kind of was non existent because of his lack of aggression getting to the basket. At least Schroeder was attacking the basket and creating for teammates. DLO has potential and has obviously matured, but he got to try harder and focus. Countless times he just dribbling without purpose and settling for that low percentage and difficult mid range floater. He has talent and I believe he can be better somewhere else that is not a contending team. When that jumper is not falling, he’s kind of unplayable.

    • @davidparks4835
      @davidparks4835 Год назад +1

      I like his fit on teams like Raptors(if Fred leaves), Rockets, Bulls(to fill in for Lonzo’s injuries) and Wizards. Maybe even a contending team like the Heat if they trade away Vincent or Lowery. If I’m the Suns, I might would trade Ayton for Russell since Ayton probably wants out and it would be an upgrade over Cam Payne. Not having Chris Paul anymore is a loss for the suns, so they should consider filling the void for that starting point guard position. Lakers would be able to move AD to the pf position and allow Ayton to play center. This will be similar to the bubble where AD and Javale/Dwight filled in that frontcourt lineup which won the Lakers a championship. A dark horse team to acquire Dlo could be Memphis. This will allow Memphis to stay in playoff contention while Ja is away from team. Once Ja returns, they could ship Dlo at trade deadline just like Warriors did a few years ago.
