The File is Too Large For Destination File System.[Fix Without Formmating]. Too Large File [File System]
Hello, everyone! In this video, I am going to explain how we can fix and get rid of this error.
The file is too large for the destination file system.
Sometimes we come across this problem when we are copying a file from our computer to the USB drive.
Basically, the USB file system does not support large files copy.
Here as you can see I am going to copy this file to the USB pen drive
and I get this Error Message. The file is too large. the file is too large for the destination file system.
This is the USB drive. I am going to open it and it is empty.
Click on the USB drive properties and check it. It is of file system FAT32.
what we have to do now just simply convert this FAT32 file system to NTFS.
Go to Search and Type CMD or command prompt and run it as administrator.
Once you are here type this command. convert before it just checks the USB pen drive Letter as it is
F in your case it may be different.
Type convert F: / FS:NTFS /NOSECURITY and press enter.
Now the conversion from FAT32 to NTFS is started. it takes some time so be patient.
Once it is done it will show conversion complete. Now go back to file you want to copy.
This time as you can see the file is copying.
this is the 2nd method. right-click on USB drive and format.
Here the default file system is FAT32. Simply change it to NTFS and format USB.
Once formatting is completed. go back and copy the file to the USB drive and here we go.
Now as you can see file copy is started.
So in this way you can get rid of that problem the file is too large for the destination file system.
