I'm going to have to disagree with the statement that the kids in this clip have learned "nothing" of value. And this is why. I am conservative while my mother and rest of my family are very liberal. I deviated from what I was taught because I saw somethings that I don't want to be and it just wasn't who I was. They dislike me because I have always told the truth no matter how anyone felt about it. I don't deal with any of them because they are abusive like the people in this video.

It's classic group psychology.
A mob forms. One member crosses a line. The entire mob has now crossed a line. One member crosses another line? They all now feel okay crossing that next line.

What it does when everyone takes up a chant is glue the group together psychologically and make them both more aggressive and more fearless. They vastly outnumber their adversary. AND repercussions, if any, will be shared among many. Whatever happens, everyone can say they were just swept along with the crowd.
This is primal behavior that evolved millions of years before cell phones could pinpoint the first person who swung a fist. And they're just waiting for someone to knock her on the ground, and if that happens, she's basically dead, guaranteed.
The entire crowd WANTS someone to commit to committing violence. To act on their collective rage. Give social permission for everyone else to also act on it.

Instead of doing work, my (female) professor told the class it was a dark day for women everywhere, and that the class period could be used to voice our emotions. I left and went home LMAO
