He seems to be one of those people who think a million thoughts at the same time but can't really put it into words. Seems like his mind is working hard on an answer for the questions but sometimes what actually comes out is much simpler than the actual thought. I can totally relate to this lol
The Empire would have a much different reputation if they had Australian accents instead of British or American not to mention I would fully expect to see the LIFEGUARD rank (cape included). Take it as a compliment - Australians are very friendly! I would still watch the film.
I was surprised to see him cast in this film and he was perfect. I remember him as the family outcast in the cancelled TV show Bloodline. it was a great show but the morons at the network killed it off.
Wasn't 100% happy with the character. Ben portrayed him well as per the vision obviously the director wanted but he seemed a bit more snivelling than he should of been....the scene with him and Darth Vader for example. You would think, that being quite an important individual who is head of a project as massive as the Death Star he would have had a lot more influence and strength than he did, he should have been fearlessly on par with Tarkin. Vader never scared Tarkin but Krennic is and comes off as the whipping boy. Just doesn't seem consistent, in other parts is ruthless and evil but others just came across as inept. Didn't fit for me.
Doomhammer It was played well. He isn't on par with Tarkin and Vader, and the contrast goes to show you just how powerful they are. They are the two most powerful men (other than Palpatine) in the galaxy. Krennic is essentially their whipping boy and rightfully so.
Uhuh. So you are essentially the chief architect of the single greatest technological construction project in the history of the galaxy and you choose....a whipping boy. Not the best and brightest. Lol. Sorry. Doesn't fit. The Emperor, Vader nor Tarkin would employ a weak character for something as important as that.
Doomhammer Not really weak at all, just cowers in the face of Vader and Tarkin, as he should. That's how the Imperial hierarchy works. To the Rebellion, he's quite an ominous and powerful figure. The character worked, whether you liked him or not.
He's basically in middle management looking to get a promotion from Palpatine. He knows he has the rank to be able to argue with Tarkin, since Tarkin is an executive and not too far above his own rank. Vader on the other hand is literally the Vice President of the company, kind of hard to argue with someone who is one step below the CEO, so of course it's a bad idea to get on his bad side, especially if you want a raise/promotion like Krennic wanted. I think Krennic was an almost perfect character because he was "relatable" to the audience in a way. Yes he was ruthless at times/and a suck up in others, but that's because he dedicated his life to his job only to have crappy bosses who would toss him aside. I think we've all had that moment where we just want to be acknowledged for doing a good job at work, only to be brushed aside by an asshole for a boss/superior.

Director krennic was killed by his own creation.

Any relation to the famous composer Mendelssohn ?
on an episode of WHo Do You Think You ARe, they debunked that. It's an all round good episode though.
