Hey guys this is the best board I ever review, it's really something special, you can get it here: www.acedeckboards.com/products/ares-x1-4wd use discount code : GABY
I love the way you edtied this video, the quility, the desgin, the fonts, the grpahics and the comparission, you're changing to the next level ;-) GO ON!!
Rage, I received the X1 and have a very important question for you. In my initial two an only ride tests of this board, did you get deep enought into the battery that you reached the low battery vibration? And if so, were you at about three bars on the remote? And if so, did you board just all of sudden shut down? On my first test ride, the low battery indicator hit the controller. About five blocks later the board did a short hesitation and then all of sudden shut down. It actually locked up the rear left wheel and left a skid mark. I obviously ran off the board. I contacted ACEDECK and they asked if had done the update…of which I hadn’t because I knew nothing of the update that needed to be done. I then did the update the next morning. Charged the board. Took the board out for another test ride, and it did the same thing except this time the low battery hit the controller and two seconds (and I do mean two seconds) later the board just died. In both cases the board would not turn on as the battery was dead. I know if both cases the remote indicated there was at least three bars or about 30% of the battery left. I am curious if you saw this in your testing
no, that never happened to me, not even once, they also told me to the firmware upgrade, I did, it seems fine. make sure to ride carefully the next couple of times. did you buy the board from affiliated link?
@@RageStudios Thanks man! Yes, I did use an affiliated link, but I don't remember whose I used. I have been communicating with Acedeck on this. Today I am going to attempt to gather the necessary video of the issue and post to my RUclips channel as they want video of the issue. I reached out to fellow RUclipsrs like you and have heard back from two now of which one other did have the exact same issue. Acedeck replaced his battery. They told me that no one has ever reported this issue, so I know of at least one other boarder with the issue. Acedeck wants video of the issue, so I'll do my best to get them video. Ya, on the second test ride I was only doing between 15-20 MPH as I just don't trust this board at all since this has happened on both test rides and while I know it will happen around 25-30%, there is no warning before it happens. It just happens all of a sudden and almost throws you off the board. I have no doubt it will happen each time. I appreciate your response. We'll see how many others out there have the same or a similar issue. Appreciate your reviews and insight.
Rage, I don't know how much time you have had to really dig into this board, but I found something else that is very interesting and would like to have your input. As I am reviewing the X1, I see that I can access two sub menus for board settings. I noticed that under number 6 (BATT TYPE) of the second sub menu, the setting is 18650. The X1 is advertised as having a Molicel 21700 P42A 21700 battery. If that is the case, why: 1. Is there no option for the 21700? 2. Why is the setting at 18650 as that is a cell with less capacity? 3. Why is there no option for 21700? A Molicel 21700 is a 4200mAh battery with 42A. The 18650 is a 2600mAh battery with 26A. Does the X1 actually have 21700 cells or are the 18650 cells actually being used? I find it interesting there is no 21700 setting if the battery is a Molicel 21700. Thoughts?
I was dead set on buying the new Hammer Sledge (I already own the Hammer) but several reviews like yours have me leaning towards the Ares X1 now. I assume you prefer the X1 over Sledge?
absolutly! the only thing better about the sledge is the remote, the rest can't even compare to Ares X1. please use my discount code at check out : GABY
@@RageStudios that’s what I’m learning. The Sledge remote looks cool but my concern is the fingerprint scanner. The technology can be finicky and doesn’t work with gloves, dirty fingers or even cuts/scratches. There might be a bypass but then that defeats the purpose.
@@shanepitzer4323 you can completely disable the finger print scanner, the other problem is that it locks too quicly and you can't set after how long without touching the remote locks, but the rounded color display looks awesome, yet again is just a remote, the riding experience on the ares X1 is next level, is really something special, you won't regret it.
@@RageStudios good to know. The issue I have with the Hammer remote is that it’s kinda “jerky” due to the remote using a spring to manage tension/speed vs the Sledge remote using an internal versing. But….the remote looking cool isn’t enough to counter the CNC TPK trucks, 8” CNC wheels and the ride of the X1.
That is unfair to compare a brand new board with an old demo Atlas 4WD that was used for more than a year. You should do another fair testing with Atlas Pro 4WD, which is known for its 200% increased power and performance. Thanks and keep up with your good job.
you're right, sorry about that, at the time it was the only 4wd board I have, I used the Atlas carbon 4wd as a reference, I got the Atlas pro 2WD but that would also not be fare since it's 2WD, my take away on this video is that old Atlas 4WD even thou older and more afforadable performed really good, it came really close in the acceleration test and even closer on the breaking test. it shows that is amazing value for money while still available. I will re run the test with Atlas pro 4WD and backfire Hammer Slegde once again to see which board is the absolute king of power. for those who might want to save a bit of money and get the original Atlas carbon 4WD is still a great option.

when are you going to do the Backfire Hammer Sledge review?
Coming soon, atlas pro 2wd vs meepo hurricane is first in line, then atlas pro 4wd
i wanted this but they cannot deliver them to my country.

Apparently an error on the data, acedeck assured me is 21700
Six thousand motors?
Pffft. Unlikely.
This board only goes 23 mph😢 advertising lies, this guy getting money
I wish I could get some money, hehe
It can easily get 23mph in ECO mode but way faster in sport+ mode
Awesome review on the Ares X1👏
Propel is the best Board
propel 4wd?
@@RageStudios 2WD
Propel isn't even in the same category as this board haha you can't compare them. That's like saying a Lamborghini is better than a BMW.
