I know its a pretty familiar staple of a lot of vtubers currently, but the fact that a lot of them can sing so well is interesting, by which I mean they can sing for a crowd live and sound good, not just that they were able to put out a song with all the bells and whistles to make it perfect in editing. There are millions of people on earth but I never gave thought to how many undiscovered vocal talents there were just waiting for their chance one way or another. Happy to see it.
i think vtubing is a pretty good opportunity for good singers that dont put themselves out there because of things like stage fright and coupled with the idea that the average person is a lot more comfortable singing by themselves without a physical audience makes them want to try singing. well that and the fact that one of the biggest vtubing company is an idol-based company makes people who want to join them practice singing more means that in some way, singing is an important asset to have which again doesnt hurt to train and naturally attracts more singers to the community. Artists are actually the same way in that the nature of the 2d and 3d models attract artists, and being an artist is a decent skill to have in vtubing whether its to make props for your model or outright designing one yourself.
I mean 2 of 3 holo ID gen 1 (first gen outsider of JP) are singer, so maybe it's their strategy all along But seeing already established name, coming to HoloEN is crazy, it's like the competition getting stiffer, maybe Hololive is like a Real Madrid collecting all the superstars. But, maybe getting all the interaction you'd desire with your fans without actually compromising your life is actually a good deal!

she didnt forget the lyrics, she forgot how the harmony goes and just ended up singing the melody part (ERB's part) also cant fault Mint on missing the Harmony, ERB's voice is so strong and powerful that you'd get swept away by her tune if you lose just a little bit of focus
