- Back from summer vacations and finally dropping a new video!!! What is up guys it's time for a new Mod Test on the 2003 CR250 Supermoto. I was curious to see if this 10oz flywheel weight from Steahly Off-Road would tame the beast down a little and help it be a little easier to wheelie. Short story, IT DID... Long story, I decided not to use it anymore. I was loving this mod... UNTIL... Watch to find out what happened!
Ask me anything in comments and I will be happy to share advice, experience, and any answers if I have them!
The CR250 is currently getting a HUGE overhaul and will be back in another 3 - 4 weeks hopefully! I will be posting a video of the V2 Rebuild and I know you guys are going to love it!
Work keeps me busy these days which is a good thing but it does mean less RUclips videos, anyways I plan on continuing to release videos despite the lack of recent success with my channel. Big thanks to all who still support. - MIKE

LET ME KNOW HOW SHE SOUNDS
So good im looking for a CR250 now lol
@@barneymiller7894 Hell yeah man! They are something else I tell ya!
Get the Hinson Momentum steel clutch basket. Works the same as a regular clutch, but also feels like a flywheel weight. Steahly sell them, as do quite a few vendors. I put one in my CRF450x, and I love it. Plus, it will never get those annoying notched wear marks from your clutch plates. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it, and can't fall off lol. Also, you could try a local engineering form to drill out your Steahly weight, and make a new high tensile steel threaded insert. I'd go the Hinson though. Reliable.
You are going trough SO many emotions during this video😂 loved the review 🫡 honest reviews
Hahah yeh man it was just too good to be True 💔 but I just will love her how she is hhaha play it safe. V2 COMING SOON
Another awesome video.
Thanks man!
nice Video🔥
Thumbs up and keep it up :)
Thank you ✌️
I'm wondering if Loctite would have helped it from loosening up ? You were having so much fun before tragedy struck . That sucks !!! Thank you for the video and your comments .
The instrictions said not to use loctite but it sure would have helped this. Definitely was, but bike is all good and still running better than ever
Damn those wheelies look so scary 😄😄
250 Two Stroke is a monster, hard to be smooth with a beast like that!
Unfortunate you couldn’t keep it on man but better safe than sorry and the bike sounds sweet 👌🏻🔥
Absolutely how I felt! All good it was a learning experience. She will be getting a huge overhaul soon!
Yeah thanks for the last bit dude! I cracked some ribs again 2 days ago n the shitshot just killed when i laughed!
I reckon theres not enough thread on the crank to hold that weight in place, the changes in revs is shocking it loose. It needs pinning to the original flywheel or ideally the crank end needs extending.
Yeah I just don't trust this flywheel weight design. I would only use one if it was a complete flywheel replacement like the YZ250x flywheel. Hope you heal up fast man! Ribs are not fun.
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ dude im still worrying about your knee when you're pulling those state wide wheelies!
She sounds really good but a little lower pitch, but I think the shaking really is what busted the weight. Hopefully you don’t have to rebuild the engine to fix it
Motor was ok but I'm doing an overhaul on the top end now to get it back to mint 👍
I put that weight on my 03 cr250. When I turned it on the threads it went tight like yours did, but for some reason I had a feeling it didn't go all the way. I took it back off to find the threads on the weight had rough edges and were not allowing it to screw all the way home. After cleaning up the threads it's went on nearly 2 more whole turns. I'm wondering if that was the case with yours.
That is a very good point, I imagine that could've been the problem. My flywheel threads are ruined now anyways so it will never be an option anymore lol
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ probably only the beginning few threads are bad. you could get a die the correct size and fix them enough to work again.
Need some red or green loctite on that and torque it a bit extra
Yeah that could be true. I decided it is better to just go back to stock and never have problems
just do one thing at a time! Don't know if the plug helped throttle response.
the weight could be more usable if it had some for of grubb screws that fastened it more to the standard flywheel.
Absolutely, but the best option is a complete flywheel with weight integrated in it. But they don't exist for my bike.
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ or if the weight is bolted to the flywheel as i seen on other dirt bikes before.
Great video the enthusiasm is great but was this a fair parts review? not exactly seeing as to where this would be so much the parts fault as it was lack of following instructions? Recheck torque within 30min of first ride? You took off and it's pretty sunny out and it's noticeably darker when you had the issue? You took off went alil ways Busted a.U turn im thinking your going back to check torque and keep riding. And someone else commented on burs on threads stopping it from going on all the way When you go back to finishing the torque there's a quick glimpse(@ 7min 56sec) of the nut and there's alot.of thread still visible on that nut that shouldn't be visible. The Grinding on the cover was the warning it wasn't on all the way.. just had seeing products get dumped on when the product isn't at fault.
there're 2 things call TORQUE SPECS AND LOCTITE nothing wrong with the product
Was torqued. Calls for NO LOCTITE. Have a great Sunday bud
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ 😂😂😂😂
Axaxaxa what a piece of shit, glad you caught it in time ^^
Also enjoyed the video good content
@@takpak1 thanks a lot man! Haha yeah I learned better safe than sorry
