Just found your channel and so glad I did! Great quality video with good balance of shopping, haul, what sold, etc. BTW, I sell on Etsy too. Congratulations on such a great sale week!
This video was awesome! Seeing all the stuff and hearing you talk throughout was so much fun ^-^ I love your style so I'm excited to check out your shop ❤
Sure enjoy your thrifting videos and commentary! And I’m with you on glassware - I’m all over the place too. I just like to have a variety of options for glasses and barware when I pour a drink for myself or others
Hello from Canada. I like your video. It is not easy for a seller to find out a few pieces worth little value in all this crap. I thought our thrifting stores here had only crap but I can see it is everywhere and the prices are a shame.
That lion in the 2nd thrift was adorable! Any chance it could be spruced up with some Rub n Buff, or does doing that sort of “repair” make it unsuitable for resale? I tend to use a lot of “roached” vintage in my art projects, so Rub n Buff is one of my best friends☺️
The video didn’t quite capture the damage. The poor lion was suffering from crazing and chipping on its glaze. Rubb and buff would have made him bald! I do a fair amount of cleaning and restoration-especially on wood pieces where a bit of sanding and oiling can go a long way. As long as it’s with a light touch I don’t think it degrades the value at all!
Green pitcher was very familiar to me, but the crack! What a shame! Shenango China - New Castle, PA I believe they made Haviland dinnerware at one point, but research required! ☺️
I never get why anyone would put a price sticker on a gold frame or directly on the painting. The glue could ruin it completely, taking of the gold on the frame or the paint. I always remark on it when I see it in my thriftstore but they are to dumb, or just do not seem to care unfortunately. 😟using a blow dryer on the sticker could prevent damage depending on how long the sticker has been there.
I find your channel refreshing! You seem to know your "art" history! Your esthetic is quite versatile too! I'd like to know the prices for what "sold" as well. Thanks for the amusement and education!
Thanks so much! I had prices included for the sold in my last video but I’ll be sure to include them every time - great suggestion! Also I majored in art history and since I’ve started vintage resale I’ve so enjoyed dusting off the part of my brain that was trained to recognize and catalog art items. Thanks for watching!!
Price go up at thrift stores because of people like you, telling them how much things are worth, and on what a cheap deal you all got, thats why the prices are going up
I think the stores have decided that want to prevent resellers from making a profit but turning around and eliminating a huge section of shoppers that actually need the low priced items. All of the merchandise is donated so should have a fair price!
Nice hauls and sales! Can you show us what they sold for next time? Thank you and love your videos!
Yes the next video on my channel shows the prices :) :)
Hi, I just started watching your RUclips channel and I really like it and I’m going to subscribe
Oh thank you so so much!!!
"Drunk with power," I got a kick out of that one! HOA in Anthem frowns on horses lol. I enjoyed your video!

OMG so cool! love your style. PLEASE tell your sold price!
Yes absolutely will do!!!
The 'sea' painting may have a signature under the lip of the frame.May be worth checking.
Oooo thank you I’ll take a closer look!!!
The painting you picked up is beautiful. The books that you have styled with it are in great colors to match. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Try a magic eraser on that wine decanter. It’s my go-to for scuffs.
Oh yes! I’ll give it a go!
Coming to Phoenix in less than 2 weeks! I’m taking notes.
Oh my gosh yay! Enjoy and I hope the weather holds out for you (it’s beautiful this week)!
Yay a nice long video with lots of variety. Loved the term drunk on power!
Glad you enjoyed it! My longest video yet!
What do you use to polish the brass pieces? They turn out beautifully!
Bar keepers friend!
Those red glasses are probably glowy glass. I saw them on another video here on the Thrift Life channel and theirs glowed.
Ohhhhhhh interesting!!!! Thanks for the tip!

Totally! I pick the drink based on my mood and then which glass based on my mood. It’s all a mood I guess! Thanks for watching!
Love the pressed flower pic!
It’s a special one. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!!

Hello there! Thanks for watching! Yes it’s a challenge to find the good stuff at a thrift price but that’s what keeps be at it - chasing the thrill!
Hey, I live in AZ, also have a vintage Etsy and love to watch your channel!
Oooo what’s your shop called? I’ll follow you!
@@SwagVintageAZ ❤️ thirty3cubed
I definitely would have picked up that decanter. Bicarb and vinegar for the glass, silver polishing would have come up beautifully 🫤
Great idea!! I’ll have to try that next time I see one. Thanks for the tip!
Your videos are great. Really good voice overs and so interesting to hear your thought process as you choose which pieces to buy.
I’m so glad you enjoy it!
Take batteries with u to check the clocks
Great tip!!
Could you include your etsy shop link in your details? Thanks!
The link is in my channel description but also here it is if you want to copy paste :) www.etsy.com/shop/SwagVintageAZ
Thanks for watching!!!
The textured metal is called hammered brass. 😉

Add some white wax to the scuffed wine canter
Ohhhhh I’ll try!
Wish my local Goodwill would offer a "bag wall." My store individually prices those small pieces out, and nothing is under $1.
Darn! Yes we are grateful for those bag walls in AZ. I’ve had some great scores! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Use magic eraser, I just picked up the same Heartstone Vase Jug and that is what I used!
Oh excellent! I was thinking I might Trey it but good to know it works!
Have you ever watched The movie My fair Lady? The dictaphone is what he used to talk into to record his voice.
Green pitcher was very familiar to me, but the crack! What a shame! Shenango China - New Castle, PA
I believe they made Haviland dinnerware at one point, but research required! ☺️
Oh what great info - thank you! Yes that crack was such a shame. Thats green color was mwah 😘

The price tags, the tape, the dreaded wax pencil - so tricky to remove!
There's nothing 'thrifty' about some of their prices!😮
Haha it happens! I find so many treasures I can’t complain!

glad you found some things to buy. dont enjoy long videos of negative things to buy. looking for better videos
More to come!
I live about 15 min from that goodwill. They are ridiculously overpriced. I rarely find any thing worth purchasing for resell.
@@masonmartinez9623 it can be tricky! Thanks so much for watching!!

Possibly, I've similar reasoning. I think too that they're hiking up pricing because of overheads....
Something to consider. Thanks for watching!
