Thank you for making this. I am an Army and I watched the year end shows AAA, MMA and MAMA due to BTS. I always watched the whole show out of respect but the other performances couldn't really captivate me as much EXCEPT Nu'est W. I'm so sorry that I didn't know them before but they really captivated me. I began searching more info and came across this video. I started lookign up their mV's and watched produce 101 because of this documentary. Eventually I can say I've become a real LOVE. I really hope they can continue to do well now. I will support. Fighting!
This is the reason I get so mad whenever people talk about extending Wanna One's contract. Minhyun would feel such pressure from both sides but I just want him back with his brothers.
@@kimi5780 NU'EST wouldn't have disbanded if Minhyun wouldn't have made it to Wanna One. They might have disbanded if they didn't go to Produce 101, but with the amount of fame they gained through the show, it's unlikely Pledis would have immediately disbanded them if one of them didn't make it into the final group. I'm thankful for the exposure that Minhyun gave NU'EST while in Wanna One but, I'm saying that if they extend the contract, Minhyun probably wouldn't, and then people would be mad that he left Wanna One early.

Hi, I just wanna say thank you for this video. :") Aron's speech really, really got to me again. I joined the fandom in 2013, during Hello era. From there, it was really a roller coaster ride. I think for a long time, there have always been a lot of pressing issues that happened - poor management, disbandment rumors, fandom fights...a lot a lot. The boys always held a hopeful look whenever they release something new; they were excited, they were happy, and they hope we would be the same. But hardwork never equals to results. Just like them, the remaining fans watched as our numbers got smaller. At one point, international fans pretty much knew each other. We held on giffing old videos, we tuned in to Aron's Music Access every day, we hype ourselves up. Literally, on Tumblr the 30 LOVEs had our own chat and we all knew each other haha... But the first major reality check was really JR's letter. Disbandment issues, poor sales results, lack of promotion...all these were something we avoided talking about in public, even if we had our little times that we talked honestly about it. The letter really...woke us up. Of course, there's still a lot we could do when we were so...small. But contrary to some, we really tried all we can. We streamed their mv, we shuffled around to get melon passes. Fanclubs tried to do GOs around the world. We're small, but we really tried. It was just so frustrating. We got them their first 1st-place nomination but we fell short, again. I think I haven't seen the fandom cried like that until 2016. We were just so depressed. Angry. /Sorry/. It was painful. But the boys were even happy. They thanked us. Were so grateful and satisfied with what they have. It made us want to give them more, but we just fall short. Somehow. Always. And it's painful. There's a lot, a lot of things in between that happened. I can't even list them all but...things like fancafe staff crying that it could be the last album, Minhyun knocking on KBS' door asking for a variety show chance...and more. The boys did everything, so we could only try harder for them. But hard work doesn't always equal to results. Produce came. Honestly, it was tough, too, but it was truly a stroke of heaven's work. To see the fandom grow, to see the boys grow through this experience, this is such a priceless journey. And I'm thankful, so so thankful that it didn't feel like we were alone anymore. Collectively, we had a voice, and that's all that mattered. Of course we still fight within ourselves, and we fight others XD but we're still a family. A family that have differences, but would set them aside for the boys. Because of each and every one of the LOVEs here, because of the boys' never-ending hard work to pursue their own color of music, because of everything, I'm thankful. And I wouldn't ask for anything else. P.S: sometimes i talk to new LOVEs and they shared that they worry about how they can't fit in, or they don't feel like they're part of the fandom. All I wanna say is, as long as you love and support them, you're a LOVE! It doesn't matter if your journey started from before, or right now. Because what matters, is that we'd be walking this path to the future together. Thank you, thank you for being a part of our growing family. Thank you so much.
I nearly cried while reading your comment. I knew them since their debut and became a low key fan. I love them. But I became inactive since late 2013 for some reason and just came back to kpop world few months ago and learned about this. This is so heartbreaking and yet so inspiring. 😭😭😭

I think the most memorable time for me as a Nu'est fan was their first fan meet after Produce 101...wherein it became like a concert as the big venue was jam packed... like a pink ocean in their lighted candlesticks!
I don't know much about Nu'est and I mostly know them through Seventeen, but this made me cry! They worked so hard they really did their all and their best! I hope all their dreams come true! They worked so hard! And seriously I could see and feel their tight bond! I did see that they disbanded last year but seriously they gave their all I feel!
To be honest I only got interested in NU'EST because of Minhyun (in Wanna One) and Produce 101, but watching this made my heart sink so many times... During one of the promotions they only sold less than 3000 physical albums? After all the hard work they put in and they are all so talented, beautiful souls too they really don't deserve that. Thank you so much for compiling this whole timeline of them, it's the best one I've watched to date.
Ikr I cant believe it myself, they sold 40k going 50k albums in their debut year and even top melon chart w their debut song then went downhill to 6k+ on their 5years. 2023, anyone? I can't be the only one wailing at midnight, missing NU'EST and their songs 😭 I come here from time to time when I feel so tired and uninspired to study. NU'EST gives me the drive to never give up, just like how they stood on their ground in their dark days. I still can't accept it. It felt like the disbandment was just yesterday. I can't even listen to Aron's mindset audio series because I know how painful it is to hear. In the future, I'll go back here to claim that I made it. That I got what I wished for this year. I'm not sure if this is the right time but I know I'll successfully conquer it 🙏🏼🤞
Their career has gone through too many moments of tears thanks to the mistreatment of Pledis, they had even disbanded (not definitively). But they never gave up and decided to receive the humiliation of being trainees again on Produce 101 in the hope of continuing to be artists this time with success. They suffered too much especially Ren because he is not used to being treated in such a strict way because he is the most babied maknae in the world, so he was so sad without being himself most of the time (he being such a happy, energetic , positive and sweet person) and he was so thin that he looked like a board; BaekHo with such perfect vocals deserved better treatment and recognition, but this program is unfair and only looks for porcelain dolls; and then there is the one who suffered the most, our beautiful leader JongHyun who believed that it was all his fault when not. His rap still touches my soul and makes me cry. Nothing that happened was their fault, it was the fault of the company that never got them good promotions. So good was the band and their self composed discography. You can't imagine how much we cried begging Pledis to not to let NU'EST fall, to not to separate them, to help them grow ... But no. It did not. They had to separate because they didn't sell anything. Ah. They went through a lot of difficult times on that show, Aron says he waited for them at home to cheer them on (he didn't go on the show because he's American). At the end of the day they were unfair and they focused more on visuals so only MinHyunnie won, he managed to enter Wanna One. And he deserved it because his visuals did not take away his beautiful vocals, although I cried with sadness because a member of the family was leaving us , I was happy that he was. NU'EST decided to come back as four members, the sub-unit was called "NU'EST W" and W is from "Waiting for MinHyun". Yes, waiting for MinHyun. As NU'EST W always in their presentations or shows there was a small detail on behalf of MinHyunnie to make it clear that his presence is with them. They said they will be a band that MinHyun will be proud of. And like NU'EST W, they had their first award in their 6-year career. Apparently they did gain fame by going to Produce, so their tears were worth it. They won award after award and when they did, they used to carry Ren or toss him into the air because they say he is their brightest star. They even beat BTS in a nomination, BTS! (I still can't get over the shock that JongHyun had, like he couldn't believe it, he was so nervous and couldn't talk. It was their first time winning, in 6 years of carreer.) It was perfect for them as NU'EST W, and I understand it, they are pure art, I recommend you all their songs, self-produced by BaekHo especially. They are the art of firm vowels, not just visuals and graceful dance. Check out his MV's, but I also recommend his solos, especially Ren's one called "You & I" on live. I never thought that the "sub-vocalist" could have that vocal range to make so many high notes without breaking a bit. Now, 2019. Wanna One breaks up and Minnie is back with us. The family is back. The warm feeling comes back to us. And finally, they get their first award as ot5, 7 years after having debuted. And finally, they fill the desired stage at their Segno concert, 7 years after their debut. Yes, it has cost them their career. Too. That's why I hate when some people make dramas with the most famous bands telling their "tragic stories" and that is why "they deserve to be the most famous." Why not. Not only they deserve it. These boys are so kind and charitable, I couldn't be more proud to have them in my life. That is why I am happy and I am satisfied that they are so famous in Korea. They are the best. And as BaekHo says in shooting stars "it's something that only you and I knows". We've been through too much, that's why our relationship with NU'EST is too close. We are the sixth member of the band! I can't believe that a band as perfect and good as this one has had to go through so much pain to be successful. I just can't believe it. I can only pray that they get more international fame, because I need to recognize these boys full of light and charisma. Really. I hope Big Hit Labels knows how to make them grow worldwide.
I really want to be part of this fandom!!!! I was actually an iGOT7 and during that time when they beat GOt7 I was so mad like "who the hell is Nuest???!" The one L.OVE member told me to watch Produce 101 she didn't even say anything about me dissing NUEST ...then a few months later I said ok!!!! Then i cried like crazy for Nuest after watching thier audition.......I feel so bad for them! I say this people deserve more!!!!
I have to admit, i just met Minhyun, JR, Baekho and Ren in PD101. I was also not aware of their group Nu'est. I never wanted to be part of their fandom also. But then, me being a wannable started searching for Minhyun's videos. Im a Minhyun bias obviously. I encountered lots of videos of him while he is still on Nu'est. As i stan Wanna One, Minhyun was always the shy and awkward one. But after watching Nu'est videos, there he is, acting all weirdo and silly. I can see him really being himself. I am one of those who wanted wanna one to extend, but then after knowing Nu'est's story, i am happy that Minhyun is back to his family, Nu'est. I am also stanning them now. I can not call myself a LOVE yet, coz i still dont know much about them. But hopefully, the fandom will accept a newbie like me 😊

I am a new fan. Discovering Nu'est through Big Hit's NYEL concert is one of the highlights and I think the band will touch more international fans (like me!). They're awesome and maybe this is the time for them to really shine more brighter. Thank you for making this documentary. Knowing the group's past struggles make me root for them more. Wish them more success this 2021!
That is exactly how I became a Super LOVE. Got into Kpop three years ago or so. Noticed Baekho during old Produce 101 clips, found and watched the documentary.. felt a strong connection to their Phoenix-based story (should be done as a professional movie adaptation honestly) and here I am.

To be honest, i only got interested in NU'EST because of Minhyun after the release of UNIVERSE. But now, someone recommended me to watch this video about them. I am so grateful to that person. I have come to know all the hardships that had faced during the six years. I really LOVE them now. I stan them and i will never regret my decision and i know it.
I was so sad seeing p101, specially MinKi's parts because even though they where funny moments, he is not like that, he was so down and almost always crying; when he is the most smiley, positive, sweet and energetic person ever.

They were at the bit of their last chance when they entered Produce x 101, as their last hope, but all the hardship they been through, it became their stepping stones to their dream. and now, they are named as NU'EST and became more popular and popular. They believe in their dreams. Who cares if they took six years to have their first win? Six years before they were known, who cares? I still love them and will forever with them. Lets end the drama, the past behind and together we move forward and start all over again. Hi I just came here to say JR deserves the world. I recently finished watching pd101 s2 with the nu'est boys on it and my god JR is one of the most humble and hardworking leaders out there (#NATIONSLEADER) and just a pure person overall. It hurt me every time he blamed himself as the reason of nu'est or his team members on the show not doing well and he was always helping those around him. It shocks me how young he is and how he had to carry that responsibility as a leader from a young age but he's done so well and it's great to see the boys back together.
Plz can you make a second part to this with minhyun comeback and segno concert in seoul as their first korean concert and BET BET comeback cuz many people asking about NU'EST and what we should recommend to them many LOVEs tell them about this but now i think they need a second part to know how far NU'EST come and it's safe to stan them now cuz all the 5 members are together i'm really sorry for asking this but yours really helped hope i don't sound rude
This is the worst choice I did in 2021. Right after hearing the news about Aron, I came here without knowing why. Just when I thought I finally hold your tears from falling (I can't count how many times I've watched this) and then that last scene with Aron just got my tears crashing down like a flood 😂😭😭😭 To add: Minhyun's words hit different in me. The way he said that he thought one member of Nu'est will make it with him. We all know that trainees get confronted from the start if they want to be in the final line up (just like in Idol School). Not creating hate to those trainees because the hate shouldn't be thrown to them. Considering how the truth got revealed and the manipulation of votes, plus Baekho is included in it.
This video broke my heart! I just discovered this group during NYEL and love their performance. I don't follow KPop but love BTS and now like this group a lot. I think they are going to be a huge success in 2021, specially with more mature fans like me (I'm over 40s). The good thing about fans like me is we are economically independent, therefore we would buy their music. I would! Actually I am going to buy few of their songs on iTunes!

This is the reason why im so mad when some peoples bad mouthing my boys or LOVEs "they (nuest fans) should said thanks to broduce made nuest famous" or "nuest famous bcs minhyun in wo" like what? We always say we are so grateful to that program bcs made me or everyone finally noticed them. No one decline this! And pls dont using our 4th son for that statement. Nuble and LOVEs did the hard works for nuble's achievement. And so many of them said something rude when we try to protest contract extension like "loves so annoying. Are they remember their group is almost disband (flop) in the past" or "where are you when they needed you?" Just stop! This is just make us more feels guilty😭😢
I never cried as a fangirl for an idol group before. NU'EST made me. Their perseverance, hardwork and friendship really touched the deepest emotions in me. I'm here because I want to know everything I missed about them. Back then, I remember I really liked their debut song but when I listened to their other songs it wasn't up to my taste, so I'm probably one of those guilty ppl who didn't liked their change in concept. They really set the standards and built a strong theme from the start that raised the expectations of many, so I guess that adds up to the factor too why others didn't gladly accept the sudden shift. When you become known for something, you gotta keep that image. But sometimes, you can't stay on offering the same thing, if there's nothing new to offer, it can be bad too as people will grow tired of it. Maybe their luck and timing were just really off during those time. It's a fact that it is really hard to survive in the entertainment industry because it is ever changing, and hard work simply isn't just enough. Those were their dark ages, but now I am nothing but just glad that, even though hard work alone wasn't always rewarded, they managed to persevere until the very moment they achieved what they were longing for. At first, I hated the idea of how they had to appear in PD101 as 'trainees' again, not because I thought it was a form of cheating (that didn't even crossed my mind) but because all I think of was how hard it must have been for them. If it was hard being on ground then it was harder to be on top and hit rock bottom. After the years of hardwork they spent just to be downgraded, how devastating could it be? What I really liked about them was that, they didn't simply let go. They were brave and passionate enough to face the harsh reality. My respect. At first, it seems really a bad idea for them to appear on PD101, but now, it may have been a really blessing in disguise. It helped them gain the recognition they deserved through it, and although there are also some good and bad things about the show, it's undeniable that it contributed a lot to their individual improvement. They've improved and grown so much and doing much better now. And as I listened to their older songs again that I've presumed before that was not good, I proved today that I was wrong. It was really good. We just didn't gave it chance. They weren't failures. They didn't fail us, the people did. I hope the same mistakes won't happen now and that the fanbase may continue to expand. I want them to stay longer for as long too, so I am able to give them my full love and support now, as I wasn't able to do it before. But then again, I want to thank the LO/\Es too who didn't gave up on them. Your hardwork gets paid off too. In this fandom, I really felt the sincerity of being a family. NU'EST and LO/\Es are a true family.
I'm just into NU'EST since last March 2020 and i tried to get to know them and managed to buy their latest album, The Nocturne. And now, I find another happiness by stanning NU'EST.
i am going to make a presentation about Nu'est in my class next two weeks as the theme is 'Hardship and Success'. I think they really suit with this theme. I am a carat, so i know nuest. I love them, but not as a LOVE. I like them as SEVENTEEN's big brother. I know their hardship, but after watching this video, i can't stop crying. Some groups was really easy to get famous. But nuest really show me their hardwork. Nu'est, u got another fan today.:')

Nu'est had more sales for the album "the table" then txt and their album (which is fine, they're only rookies) And they fanbase is bigger than txt in korea But txt did better in views and they have a bigger international fanbase But the sales and votes from kloves was what made love me get so many wins.
Lay Naran you took me back on this emotional roller coaster that is NU'EST. Watching this video brought back all the sadness and pain I've experience and felt through the years. The feeling of being useless as a fan was depressing. Being an international fan I couldn't fully support the boys like I wanted too really broke my heart. I didn't understand why such talent was being slept on, it made me angry and more determine to support them to the best of my ability. For the first time in my life I've bought and stream for an idol group who can literally be my children. The decision to love and support them was one of the best things ever, not that they know I secretly adopted them...LOL. From the beginning until now I've never been prouder to be a fan. recently i watched produce 101 s2 which has 4 nu'est members. Seriously, at first I thought nu'est was really a big name in south korea at the time but knetz continued to ignore their talents (correct me if I was wrong). i don't even know that in fact they are all really having a hard time. all of a sudden, I became interested and started finding out about them on google, social media. their journey is not a joke. I am crying. in fact, I am a bighit labels stan, I know that nu'est also part of bighit labels, but I apologize for not stanning it before. now, I really want to be a fan and will support anything throughout their journey. 🙏🏼

I cried like a baby for the whole 30 mins. I feel so sad that I found them only a month ago when I out of boredom decided to watch Produce 101 and it was the best random decision I ever made. I completely hopelessly, irretrievably fell in love with JR. I have never seen such a selfless leader and most importantly, a genuinely good human being. I still feel so so bitter that he didn't make it to the top 11, even though in the end, it was for the best. I still to this day cry when I see his sad smiling face standing on the finale stage during his ranking announcement and his rap during the rap evaluation stage. Due to him, I decided to stan N'uest and I fell in love with each one of them, including Aron. I feel so so much for each one of them. I genuinely feel that they deserve everything in the world. LOVE Forever.

30 minutes ago I didn't know almost anything about nuest and now I'm crying over them. I finally understood all the hate towards Pledis, they ruined years of their lifes and careers but luckily they were together. Now they want to separate them too... For as long as I can, and as long as they continue producing their music, I will buy every new release, and so should every fan that can afford it. This group is about friendship and about endurance, about perseverance and about quality music. I remember myself singing to Face and stanning them and my bias is Ren way back 2012. My old self who's addicted to almost all kpop groups. I'm no longer a fan since I don't know when but watching this made me cry. I'm so glad that they're together now.

I would just say Thank you very much! I swear Pledis is the worst when it comes to NUEST they still aren't doing good job promoting their songs which are the best right compared to any music of the world and I listen all teh songs around the world. Other popular K-Pop bands have strong companies backing them sometimes it becomes unfair for groups like NUEST. I loved their songs since 2012 and will always love their unique and not the same concept songs and creativity is par excellence. Oh my god i am so emo RN.
Awww I don't even know what I'm doing here😭 this video made cry a little lol. I saw their MV I'm in trouble by chance and I loved the song so much I got curious. As someone who got into K-pop around beginning 2nd gen. I faintly remember all the hype and the struggle that followed this group. I'm so happy for them, they got a second life after P101 (proof that you never know how your luck might turn around for the better).

Watching this again in 2020 and still in love with Nu'est 💗 Got to know them since PD101 S2 and got a chance to see their concerts in 2019. Amazed by their vocals and dance. Amazed by how nice they and other L.O.Λ.E are. The most orderly K-Pop concert I've ever been to. Love NU'EST and L.O.Λ.E 💗

I just rewatched Produce 101 and it still felt like I am watching it for the first time. Jonghyun was my one pick and on the last episode I was still wishing for jonghyun to be called even though I already know he wont make it. But its okay because things went well for them and I got to know them better as a group with Aron. I cant imagine how nuest and their fans felt before produce. It must have difficult and they must have suffered a lot. I am so happy and proud that they are successful now. I hope for a nuest comeback soon!

I was never part of nuest fandom and just came to know and cheer for them through produce. Seeing this video make me feel so proud how genuine and pure they are. With Aron's last speech, i git teared up, I always see sadness in his eyes everytime I see him i dont know why. But i am so proud of then holding on being true in this industry full of fake and dirty people.
That moment when you know all of their songs even tho you only occasionaly listened to kpop and only really got into it at the end of 2016... like seriosly.. I don't stan them, but I know all of theirs songs by heart and I remember listening to them a lot whenever they came out. And I always saw Face as the most iconic debut song. But I guess because I was never involved into kpop fandoms I never even realised that they were underrated. I am just happy they are finally getting the recognision they deserve 💜
I think nu'est for me is so different from other kpop group is that their attitude and how they overcome difficulties give us courage and motivation to be a better person, not just fan; whenever i feel tired i always find energy and courage from them. They truly live their life as the word "idol", people who i could look up to and find energy from.
I don’t ever comment on YT, but I just made myself a new fan of NU’EST. What they went through has made them stronger, despite their failures. Their story is so relatable. Sometimes you feel like your dreams are so far out of reach and you feel like giving up. Just when you are about to give up is when you will have your breakthrough. Thanks for not giving up, I am your new fan from the US! When will you be coming to Chicago, I will be waiting! For now, I will be learning all your music and getting to know you a little better.

Thank you for making this. I am an Army and I watched the year end shows AAA, MMA and MAMA due to BTS. I always watched the whole show out of respect but the other performances couldn't really captivate me as much EXCEPT Nu'est W. I'm so sorry that I didn't know them before but they really captivated me. I began searching more info and came across this video. I started lookign up their mV's and watched produce 101 because of this documentary. Eventually I can say I've become a real LOVE. I really hope they can continue to do well now. I will support. They might have disbanded if they didn't go to Produce 101, but with the amount of fame they gained through the show, it's unlikely Pledis would have immediately disbanded them if one of them didn't make it into the final group. I'm thankful for the exposure that Minhyun gave NU'EST while in Wanna One but, I'm saying that if they extend the contract, Minhyun probably wouldn't, and then people would be mad that he left Wanna One early.

Hi, I just wanna say thank you for this video. :") Aron's speech really, really got to me again.
I joined the fandom in 2013, during Hello era. From there, it was really a roller coaster ride. I think for a long time, there have always been a lot of pressing issues that happened - poor management, disbandment rumors, fandom fights...a lot a lot. The boys always held a hopeful look whenever they release something new; they were excited, they were happy, and they hope we would be the same. But hardwork never equals to results. Just like them, the remaining fans watched as our numbers got smaller. At one point, international fans pretty much knew each other. We held on giffing old videos, we tuned in to Aron's Music Access every day, we hype ourselves up. Literally, on Tumblr the 30 LOVEs had our own chat and we all knew each other haha...
But the first major reality check was really JR's letter. Disbandment issues, poor sales results, lack of promotion...all these were something we avoided talking about in public, even if we had our little times that we talked honestly about it. The letter really...woke us up. Of course, there's still a lot we could do when we were so...small. But contrary to some, we really tried all we can. We streamed their mv, we shuffled around to get melon passes. Fanclubs tried to do GOs around the world. We're small, but we really tried. It was just so frustrating. We got them their first 1st-place nomination but we fell short, again. I think I haven't seen the fandom cried like that until 2016. We were just so depressed. Angry. /Sorry/. It was painful. But the boys were even happy. They thanked us. Were so grateful and satisfied with what they have. It made us want to give them more, but we just fall short. Somehow. Always. And it's painful.
There's a lot, a lot of things in between that happened. I can't even list them all but...things like fancafe staff crying that it could be the last album, Minhyun knocking on KBS' door asking for a variety show chance...and more. The boys did everything, so we could only try harder for them.
But hard work doesn't always equal to results.
Produce came. Honestly, it was tough, too, but it was truly a stroke of heaven's work. To see the fandom grow, to see the boys grow through this experience, this is such a priceless journey. And I'm thankful, so so thankful that it didn't feel like we were alone anymore. Collectively, we had a voice, and that's all that mattered. Of course we still fight within ourselves, and we fight others XD but we're still a family. A family that have differences, but would set them aside for the boys. Because of each and every one of the LOVEs here, because of the boys' never-ending hard work to pursue their own color of music, because of everything, I'm thankful. And I wouldn't ask for anything else.
P.S: sometimes i talk to new LOVEs and they shared that they worry about how they can't fit in, or they don't feel like they're part of the fandom. All I wanna say is, as long as you love and support them, you're a LOVE! It doesn't matter if your journey started from before, or right now. Because what matters, is that we'd be walking this path to the future together. Thank you, thank you for being a part of our growing family. Thank you so much.

I think the most memorable time for me as a Nu'est fan was their first fan meet after Produce 101...wherein it became like a concert as the big venue was jam packed... like a pink ocean in their lighted candlesticks!
I don't know much about Nu'est and I mostly know them through Seventeen, but this made me cry! They worked so hard they really did their all and their best! I hope all their dreams come true! They worked so hard! And seriously I could see and feel their tight bond! I did see that they disbanded last year but seriously they gave their all I feel!
To be honest I only got interested in NU'EST because of Minhyun (in Wanna One) and Produce 101, but watching this made my heart sink so many times... During one of the promotions they only sold less than 3000 physical albums? After all the hard work they put in and they are all so talented, beautiful souls too they really don't deserve that. Thank you so much for compiling this whole timeline of them, it's the best one I've watched to date.

I come here from time to time when I feel so tired and uninspired to study. NU'EST gives me the drive to never give up, just like how they stood on their ground in their dark days. I still can't accept it. It felt like the disbandment was just yesterday. I can't even listen to Aron's mindset audio series because I know how painful it is to hear.
In the future, I'll go back here to claim that I made it. That I got what I wished for this year. I'm not sure if this is the right time but I know I'll successfully conquer it 🙏🏼🤞

Their career has gone through too many moments of tears thanks to the mistreatment of Pledis, they had even disbanded (not definitively).
But they never gave up and decided to receive the humiliation of being trainees again on Produce 101 in the hope of continuing to be artists this time with success.
They suffered too much especially Ren because he is not used to being treated in such a strict way because he is the most babied maknae in the world, so he was so sad without being himself most of the time (he being such a happy, energetic , positive and sweet person) and he was so thin that he looked like a board;
BaekHo with such perfect vocals deserved better treatment and recognition, but this program is unfair and only looks for porcelain dolls;
and then there is the one who suffered the most, our beautiful leader JongHyun who believed that it was all his fault when not. His rap still touches my soul and makes me cry. Nothing that happened was their fault, it was the fault of the company that never got them good promotions. So good was the band and their self composed discography.
You can't imagine how much we cried begging Pledis to not to let NU'EST fall, to not to separate them, to help them grow ... But no. It did not. They had to separate because they didn't sell anything.
Ah.
They went through a lot of difficult times on that show, Aron says he waited for them at home to cheer them on (he didn't go on the show because he's American).
At the end of the day they were unfair and they focused more on visuals so only MinHyunnie won, he managed to enter Wanna One. And he deserved it because his visuals did not take away his beautiful vocals, although I cried with sadness because a member of the family was leaving us , I was happy that he was.
NU'EST decided to come back as four members, the sub-unit was called "NU'EST W" and W is from "Waiting for MinHyun". Yes, waiting for MinHyun.
As NU'EST W always in their presentations or shows there was a small detail on behalf of MinHyunnie to make it clear that his presence is with them. They said they will be a band that MinHyun will be proud of.
And like NU'EST W, they had their first award in their 6-year career.
Apparently they did gain fame by going to Produce, so their tears were worth it.
They won award after award and when they did, they used to carry Ren or toss him into the air because they say he is their brightest star.
They even beat BTS in a nomination, BTS!
(I still can't get over the shock that JongHyun had, like he couldn't believe it, he was so nervous and couldn't talk. It was their first time winning, in 6 years of carreer.)
It was perfect for them as NU'EST W, and I understand it, they are pure art, I recommend you all their songs, self-produced by BaekHo especially. They are the art of firm vowels, not just visuals and graceful dance.
Check out his MV's, but I also recommend his solos, especially Ren's one called "You & I" on live. I never thought that the "sub-vocalist" could have that vocal range to make so many high notes without breaking a bit.

I have to admit, i just met Minhyun, JR, Baekho and Ren in PD101. I was also not aware of their group Nu'est. I never wanted to be part of their fandom also. But then, me being a wannable started searching for Minhyun's videos. Im a Minhyun bias obviously. I encountered lots of videos of him while he is still on Nu'est. As i stan Wanna One, Minhyun was always the shy and awkward one. But after watching Nu'est videos, there he is, acting all weirdo and silly. I can see him really being himself. I am one of those who wanted wanna one to extend, but then after knowing Nu'est's story, i am happy that Minhyun is back to his family, Nu'est. I am also stanning them now. I can not call myself a LOVE yet, coz i still dont know much about them. But hopefully, the fandom will accept a newbie like me 😊

That is exactly how I became a Super LOVE. Got into Kpop three years ago or so. Noticed Baekho during old Produce 101 clips, found and watched the documentary.. felt a strong connection to their Phoenix-based story (should be done as a professional movie adaptation honestly) and here I am.

I was so sad seeing p101, specially MinKi's parts because even though they where funny moments, he is not like that, he was so down and almost always crying; when he is the most smiley, positive, sweet and energetic person ever.

Hi I just came here to say JR deserves the world. I recently finished watching pd101 s2 with the nu'est boys on it and my god JR is one of the most humble and hardworking leaders out there (#NATIONSLEADER) and just a pure person overall. It hurt me every time he blamed himself as the reason of nu'est or his team members on the show not doing well and he was always helping those around him. It shocks me how young he is and how he had to carry that responsibility as a leader from a young age but he's done so well and it's great to see the boys back together.

This video broke my heart! I just discovered this group during NYEL and love their performance. I don't follow KPop but love BTS and now like this group a lot. I think they are going to be a huge success in 2021, specially with more mature fans like me (I'm over 40s). The good thing about fans like me is we are economically independent, therefore we would buy their music. I would! Actually I am going to buy few of their songs on iTunes!

We always say we are so grateful to that program bcs made me or everyone finally noticed them. No one decline this! And pls dont using our 4th son for that statement. I never cried as a fangirl for an idol group before. NU'EST made me. Their perseverance, hardwork and friendship really touched the deepest emotions in me. I'm here because I want to know everything I missed about them. Back then, I remember I really liked their debut song but when I listened to their other songs it wasn't up to my taste, so I'm probably one of those guilty ppl who didn't liked their change in concept. They really set the standards and built a strong theme from the start that raised the expectations of many, so I guess that adds up to the factor too why others didn't gladly accept the sudden shift. When you become known for something, you gotta keep that image. But sometimes, you can't stay on offering the same thing, if there's nothing new to offer, it can be bad too as people will grow tired of it. Maybe their luck and timing were just really off during those time. It's a fact that it is really hard to survive in the entertainment industry because it is ever changing, and hard work simply isn't just enough. Those were their dark ages, but now I am nothing but just glad that, even though hard work alone wasn't always rewarded, they managed to persevere until the very moment they achieved what they were longing for. At first, I hated the idea of how they had to appear in PD101 as 'trainees' again, not because I thought it was a form of cheating (that didn't even crossed my mind) but because all I think of was how hard it must have been for them. If it was hard being on ground then it was harder to be on top and hit rock bottom. After the years of hardwork they spent just to be downgraded, how devastating could it be?
What I really liked about them was that, they didn't simply let go. They were brave and passionate enough to face the harsh reality. My respect. At first, it seems really a bad idea for them to appear on PD101, but now, it may have been a really blessing in disguise. It helped them gain the recognition they deserved through it, and although there are also some good and bad things about the show, it's undeniable that it contributed a lot to their individual improvement. They've improved and grown so much and doing much better now. And as I listened to their older songs again that I've presumed before that was not good, I proved today that I was wrong. It was really good. We just didn't gave it chance. They weren't failures. They didn't fail us, the people did. I hope the same mistakes won't happen now and that the fanbase may continue to expand. I want them to stay longer for as long too, so I am able to give them my full love and support now, as I wasn't able to do it before. But then again, I want to thank the LO/\Es too who didn't gave up on them. Your hardwork gets paid off too. In this fandom, I really felt the sincerity of being a family. NU'EST and LO/\Es are a true family.
Their life is such a journey. Amazing boys, i really want them to feel happy so much.
I'm just into NU'EST since last March 2020 and i tried to get to know them and managed to buy their latest album, The Nocturne. And now, I find another happiness by stanning NU'EST.

Lay Naran you took me back on this emotional roller coaster that is NU'EST. Watching this video brought back all the sadness and pain I've experience and felt through the years. The feeling of being useless as a fan was depressing. Being an international fan I couldn't fully support the boys like I wanted too really broke my heart. I didn't understand why such talent was being slept on, it made me angry and more determine to support them to the best of my ability. For the first time in my life I've bought and stream for an idol group who can literally be my children. The decision to love and support them was one of the best things ever, not that they know I secretly adopted them...LOL. From the beginning until now I've never been prouder to be a fan. I cried like a baby for the whole 30 mins. I feel so sad that I found them only a month ago when I out of boredom decided to watch Produce 101 and it was the best random decision I ever made. I completely hopelessly, irretrievably fell in love with JR. I have never seen such a selfless leader and most importantly, a genuinely good human being. I still feel so so bitter that he didn't make it to the top 11, even though in the end, it was for the best. I still to this day cry when I see his sad smiling face standing on the finale stage during his ranking announcement and his rap during the rap evaluation stage. Due to him, I decided to stan N'uest and I fell in love with each one of them, including Aron. I feel so so much for each one of them. I genuinely feel that they deserve everything in the world. LOVE Forever.

I remember myself singing to Face and stanning them and my bias is Ren way back 2012. My old self who's addicted to almost all kpop groups. I'm no longer a fan since I don't know when but watching this made me cry. I'm so glad that they're together now.

I would just say Thank you very much! I swear Pledis is the worst when it comes to NUEST they still aren't doing good job promoting their songs which are the best right compared to any music of the world and I listen all teh songs around the world. Other popular K-Pop bands have strong companies backing them sometimes it becomes unfair for groups like NUEST. I loved their songs since 2012 and will always love their unique and not the same concept songs and creativity is par excellence. Oh my god i am so emo RN.

I just rewatched Produce 101 and it still felt like I am watching it for the first time. Jonghyun was my one pick and on the last episode I was still wishing for jonghyun to be called even though I already know he wont make it. But its okay because things went well for them and I got to know them better as a group with Aron. I cant imagine how nuest and their fans felt before produce. It must have difficult and they must have suffered a lot. I am so happy and proud that they are successful now.

I was never part of nuest fandom and just came to know and cheer for them through produce. Seeing this video make me feel so proud how genuine and pure they are. With Aron's last speech, i git teared up, I always see sadness in his eyes everytime I see him i dont know why. But i am so proud of then holding on being true in this industry full of fake and dirty people.
That moment when you know all of their songs even tho you only occasionaly listened to kpop and only really got into it at the end of 2016... like seriosly.. I don't stan them, but I know all of theirs songs by heart and I remember listening to them a lot whenever they came out. And I always saw Face as the most iconic debut song. But I guess because I was never involved into kpop fandoms I never even realised that they were underrated.

I think nu'est for me is so different from other kpop group is that their attitude and how they overcome difficulties give us courage and motivation to be a better person, not just fan; whenever i feel tired i always find energy and courage from them. They truly live their life as the word "idol", people who i could look up to and find energy from.
I don’t ever comment on YT, but I just made myself a new fan of NU’EST. What they went through has made them stronger, despite their failures. Their story is so relatable. Sometimes you feel like your dreams are so far out of reach and you feel like giving up. Just when you are about to give up is when you will have your breakthrough. Thanks for not giving up, I am your new fan from the US! When will you be coming to Chicago, I will be waiting! For now, I will be learning all your music and getting to know you a little better.
