It is believed the Roman Catholic church chose this date to make Christianity more meaningful to pagan converts. This the same as they did with Easter. The cutting and decorating of trees is evident in many pagan religions, from the Middle East to northern Europe.

I don’t do birthdays or any other holiday for that matter. Our birth day- is the day we’re born. We celebrate the birth of the baby and bring gifts and a cake on that day to celebrate. Your only born once naturally- but somehow folks are celebrating the day, some say birthday week- some are even celebrating the birthday for the entire month. (I can’t even) And then there’s a spiritual birth. But that’s another conversation 😀. 🙏🏾

I love Pastor Murray but intentions mean a lot!!! I would have to disagree and I personally believe it depends on why a tree is put up...my mom did it because of tradition but because I don't put up a tree doesn't mean I'm any better than her. In no means did we worship a tree. Most folks are worried about what's under the tree!

In response to Williams comment. Full Gospel chooses to celebrate Jesus all the time. It doesn't have to be Dec. 25. They already know that there is no record that shows birth date. But they know He was born to Mary,and that a Savior was born. The Pastor was answering someone who questioned why they don't see trees (Christmas) in their church. So he was just explaining to them, giving them scriptures as to why. But William if you want trees in your church that's your choice, but you cannot change them, they are only committed to serving and pleasing God .

That's why it's good to know this word, I grew up in Holiness my whole life and never knew or saw that scripture. My mother taught me to know the word for myself and I have the word in me but it's still so much I need to study This was my first time seeing that scripture, Praise God for this good word from God. Lord lead me to abide and obey. I didn't get a Christmas tree this year or last year, but I wanted one last year, this year I was trying to save money and I was wondering was it pagan or not or like if it's ok, now I know it's not scripture base, Praise God for that and you can't argue with scripture.

We know that Jesus was not born on December 25th. We know all about Jeremiah and also other scriptures concerning these things which were not necessarily even talking about a tree. It was talking about Asherah, false gods, idols and penis and vaginal gods that were made from the wood of those trees 🌲, even the wreath, mistletoe and other things; because there was no Christmas back then. Last yr was my first yr not celebrating Christmas🙌all praise To TMH bc I celebrated Thanksgiving even though I promised God to stop bc of the paganism behind it. I was debating this in my spirit and something didn't feel right I read in other places that it was okay but I felt uneasy..so God brought me here and just a few seconds in I had that confirmation..I I lmmediately threw my tree out. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
We praise the lord everyday even dec 25th is his day we do not serve idols, jesus was born died and resurrected from the grave and he nailed my sin to the cross he is our passover lamb and he has set me free from the law,when he shed his precious blood we are not under the law and we donot worship trees we have a living god not one that caint speak like a tree I know better to worship any other than him amen!

Depends on what intentions you have, there are good and bad intentions...go tell the cops that you only have intentions of killing someone, but your not going to act upon it and see what will happen to you...try it and see it will be off to jail you go......god said he searches the heart and every bad thought you will be judged for so, both intentions and action go hand in hand ....because if I have intentions in my heart to kill someone even if I have not carried it out and jesus returns it's to hell I'm going. He should not play with Christmas at all not just the tree because celebrating Christmas leads to the tree ...hence dont play with matches and nothing will be burnt down

I know God knows all and intent, actions, lack of, & EVERYTHING in between 😊 However when it comes to impacting my community, church , family, work place. We must all work out our salvation with fear and trembling before God. If we celebrate any part of Christmas or say we believe in Christmas then we might as well do what Christmas entails. If we do things in portions we might as well do it all. I celebrate JESUS. I celebrate His eternal existence, life, birth, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, assention, soon return, and forevermore being with Him. It is best we live spotless from the world. I can't argue the name i called on biblically that after i repented of my sins and was baptized in the Name of JESUS for the remission/forgiveness of my sins I received the Lords precious gift of The Holy Ghost. Acts 2 vs 38 just like the Bible says. There may be arguments with many things but never with the Word of truth. Every time I call on the name Jesus I feel His presence and awesome power even the devils are aware. There is no spiritual significance to having or not having a Christmas tree. Whatever choice we make, the motive behind a believer’s decision about this, as in all matters of conscience, must be to please the Lord. Romans 14:5-6a sets out the principle in a passage about liberty: “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord.” The Lord is grieved when Christians look down upon one another for either celebrating or not celebrating Christmas in a particular way. This is spiritual pride. When we feel that somehow we have achieved a higher plain of spirituality by doing or not doing something about which the Bible is silent, we misuse our freedom in Christ, create divisions within His body, and thereby dishonor the Lord. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Amen. Too much sometimes. I have had a tree since a young child. God has blessed me in ways that I will never forget with the tree decorating my house for Christmas. Preach the Word and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. I have read Jeremiah 10 and asked God about it and he sent me to Romans like you. God searches the intents of the heart and I do believe if I was out of His will, He would not bless me to affect people's lives with ministry the way He does through my God-given gifts. If the Bishop is preaching about a decoration (the tree), he should not be celebrating Christmas at all, because it is said to be a pagan (heathen) holiday. That would make him a hypocrite!
I hope "learning the WAYS of the heathen" includes...Easter bunnies....Halloween-Hallelujah Parties...and a lot of other things that are not for CHRISTIANS according to the scriptures!!
I do not celebrate any holidays (birthdays, Xmas, Halloween, etc.) it’s not in the Bible to do so. God celebrated marriage, which he created and turned water into wine once there. I give gifts throughout the year as the Holy Ghost leads and guides me- I don’t wait for any particular day or holiday. To God be the glory and the Glory is God 🙏🏾

He’s preaching just what God told him to preach. We don’t have sunrise service. We’re not the Baptist’s. Furthermore, when you decide that you’re not going to use Sunday through Saturday as days of the week, which is good because we should say the 1st day, 3rd day etc., you must in that case come out of your Nike tennis shoes, named after a false god, that Hermès purse/bag, named after a false god etc. If you’re going to go all the way out then go all the way out. Since March 1998 when God saved me I have not celebrated any holidays (Xmas or Birthdays, etc.) If it’s not in the Bible, I don’t do it. God did not say he was born on December 25th and to celebrate by giving gifts to each other. I’m In the world but not of it. Amen and glory be to God 🙏🏾.
My guess is that he means he still celebrates the (said) birth of Christ Yeshua (Now called "Jesus"; Which is absolutely strange) on this date, for whatever odd reason. Although, whether this is the actual accurate date of His birth or not--- celebrating it, he's practically still "doing what the heathens do"... Only, he does it without a tree. So, I'm really wondering too, what he means by that, and how it's supposedly any different. 🤔
Mark Scott if we listen to what he is saying... yes it is scary, when you know better (if we’re really live by the word of GOD), but do different! Yet, he celebrates the day, after knowing “what the word say” the church resembles the world so much until they look like twins!! This is a very contradicting preached message ! Either you believe or you don’t! Now days the churches are lukewarm and on the fence about things they shouldn’t be! It’s not rocket science! You can’t talk about the decorations of the tree and yet buy presents for your children and family! Did you go out and buy Christ a gift? I bet, very few if any, said happy birthday right before they handed the gifts to family! It’s not the family members birthday that received gifts. So just how are we celebrating Christ, by getting into debt, buying things we don’t truly need or even want?
I dont celebrate Christmas. I try to live everyday in love ,giving,joy,and in Christ everyday. If I practice this lifestyle daily then there would be no need for the hoopla in December. I give throughout the year,I love daily,and etc.
Saturday is the 7th Day of the week. Sunday is the first day of the week. According to Scripture, JESUS rose on the first day of the week. Technically, the Jewish Sabbath last from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. GOD made EVERYDAY for HIS purpose and glory. Everyday is HIS. Worship on Sunday is and should be a celebration of the resurrection of JESUS. Worship is the key. . .Whether Saturday or Sunday, or any day. . .Is Worship the focus?

@Life Builders, The 7th day is the Sabbath, the rest day given to human kind, after creation was completed, as spoken of in Genesis 2. It was reiterated in Exodus 20, as the 4th commandment. In the beginning when creation was begun, there were no jewish people, the Sabbath was given to the only two humans alive, Adam and Eve, so the 7th day Sabbath is, and has always been for all human kind, not just for the jews. Although Jesus rose on the 1st day of the week, there is no scripture in the old or new testament, of the bible, that says we are to worship on the first day of the week. God numbered the days, man named the days...
We do remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy. . .We also do not forsake the assembly of ourselves with other Believers. Can we look at it this way, Since GOD never said what day to corporately gather, Saturday is the Sabbath and Sunday is corporate Worship. Since GOD created every day, we can corporately gather as well as individually Worship HIM any day and that is fine with HIM? I do believe that GOD honors HIS Worship whenever we Worship
This sermon reminds me of when entire denominations say that women can't wear pants because The Bible says that a woman should not wear that which pertains to a man. When in actuality, that scripture is talking about cross dressing. The same type of misinterpretation holds true with this scripture. In this scripture, as well as Isaiah 44, God was talking about idolatry and carving out idols to worship them. Not putting up a Christmas tree, which incidentally did not exist until a few thousand years after that scripture was written. Oh, by the way, I see a lot of Poinsettias around the pulpit. The same flower that was used in heathen Aztec religious ceremonies.

And Christians who celebrate Christmas don't celebrate it as a pagan holiday. Most Christians know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, but the fact is that he was born. So Christmas is a great time to remind people that Jesus is the reason for the season. Which is exactly why they want to remove any reference to him during that time of year. The problem with many Christians is that we want to impose our standards on other Christian brothers and sisters, and judge them within our hearts for not being as holy or following the Word as correctly as we are, which according to Romans 14, and Isaiah 65:5 is also not a good thing. So I personally see nothing wrong with giving gifts to children to make them happy, all the while reminding them that the joy they get from receiving such gifts will quickly fade, but God gave us the greatest gift of all.

No he did not ..did any of the 12 disciples celebrate jesus birthday or brought a doctrine to celebrate jesus birthday? The angels visibly and audibly sang and praised in the earth realm at the birth of Christ -- they communicated to the shepherds that a magnificent event had taken place, is that not a celebration of His birth? As a Christian saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ my job my obligation in life is to share the gospel MARK 16:15 with every single person I come across because the wrath of God abideth on them as long as they are dead in their trespasses they must be born again .. there must be a moment in time where you remember repenting changing your mind of what you have always believed and believe the truth of the word of God which is that Jesus Christ God In the Flesh died in our place paid the debt for our sin was laid in the tomb went three days into the lower parts of the earth came up out of the Grave was seen 40 days on this Earth and then ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the throne of God he is eternal life John 14:6 says I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me the only way to the Father in Heaven is through his Son Jesus Christ and that is what a Christian is supposed to share with others whether we nail down Christmas trees in our living room or not won't save our soul from hell and if we teach somebody not to nail a tree down in their living room yet we never give them the gospel and tell him how to get saved what good is that? I pray that you are saved I pray that you have been born again of the holy Spirit of God
Jesus wasn't born on Christmas. The Catholics started Christmass Ist pope Constantein Roman emperor. Think about it. Christ-mass they started Santa also. It's all paganism. Birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, etc. In the Word of God the bible tells us the angels came forth in song and praise in the earth realm, they communicated the glorious event to the shepherds, -- that is a celebration of Christ's birth and has no pagan origin. The DATE is connected to pagan worship, the event is rooted in the word of God. I love celebrating Christmas. You are correct...it was celebrated before the birth of Christ. And the pagan tradition of chopping down trees and decorating them is in the old testament...Jeremiah 10:2-4.

Bad thing is when you preach scripture out of context many will believe it. If you first recognize that Jeremiah wrote this a long time before the invention of the Christmas tree. Context matters. Secondly If you read vs. 5 of Jeremiah 10 he goes a little deeper and says talking about theses trees cut down and worked by hands and the ax “they are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.” He is clearly talking about cutting down wood and making an idol.

And as marvelous as His birth was, no one was ever commended to celebrate it. But we are told to commemorate His death. Paul said, "I preach Christ CRUCIFIED ". Nicodemus responds by saying how can a man be born when he is old can he enter a second time into his mother's womb? Philip did not baptize him to be saved he told him if you believe then I will baptize you and that is how God planned it. The reason we are baptized is because it is an outward profession of our faith when you think about this Jesus Christ himself was baptized by John and John didn't understand why but Jesus told him that he did it so that we would follow him but this is not how we are born again Jesus did not need to be born again We must be born again because we are born of an corruptible seed which will die which is the seed of Adam we must be born again in Christ which is The INcorruptible seed the word of God that never dies Psalm 12 and when we recieve the word of God into our heart which is Jesus Christ we receive eternal life as a gift a free gift as it says in the Book of Romans Our church attendance the time we spend in prayer Our charitable acts our kindness toward others can never take away our sins but the blood that was shed on the cross of calvary will wash your sins away if you believe on Jesus and what he did for you I pray that you will believe the gospel the death the burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and call out to him now for salvation there is nothing that you can do no works that will save you from hell Jesus did all the work that was necessary and the only thing you need in order to receive that gift is faith in your heart then you get baptized in water :) I AM SAVED!!! 💜🙏

As Christian's we celebrate the birth, life, death and soon coming return of our King Jesus EVERYDAY. Yes dec 25th is a heathen celebration- do the independent research for yourself. I stopped celebrating christmas in 2007. I remember reading this so well. But when I small my great grandfather would tell my mother; to stop telling us stupidness. I do not accept gifts, I do give gifts nor do I give cards. Although, I still get a few cards which, I am trying to cut out. People ask me if I am Jehovah Witnesses; No, I not. That is how I know that Jehovah Witnesses does not celebrate christmas.
It doesn't matter their are plants and trees all over the building. When they cut the trees for worship it wasn't a certain time of year. You can't teach this and only apply it to Christmas. Well this my first time hearing this message, and I will say I am gonna keep up my Christmas tree. I’m not a Heathen and have been brought up in church and know the word. This brother has taken the scripture out of context. I worship God. And Celebrate his son Jesus birth. That Christmas tree ain’t a God. I put it up for the kids. In response to Williams comment. Full Gospel chooses to celebrate Jesus all the time. It doesn't have to be Dec. 25. They already know that there is no record that shows birth date. But they know He was born to Mary,and that a Savior was born. The Pastor was answering someone who questioned why they don't see trees (Christmas) in their church. So he was just explaining to them, giving them scriptures as to why. But William if you want trees in your church that's your choice, but you cannot change them, they are only committed to serving and pleasing God .

That's why it's good to know this word, I grew up in Holiness my whole life and never knew or saw that scripture. My mother taught me to know the word for myself and I have the word in me but it's still so much I need to study
This was my first time seeing that scripture, Praise God for this good word from God. Lord lead me to abide and obey. I didn't get a Christmas tree this year or last year, but I wanted one last year, this year I was trying to save money and I was wondering was it pagan or not or like if it's ok, now I know it's not scripture base, Praise God for that and you can't argue with scripture.

We know that Jesus was not born on December 25th. We know all about Jeremiah and also other scriptures concerning these things which were not necessarily even talking about a tree. Wow, I'm sooo grateful that this man of God is preaching the truth & especially on these pagan holidays. Last yr was my first yr not celebrating Christmas🙌all praise To TMH bc I celebrated Thanksgiving even though I promised God to stop bc of the paganism behind it. I was debating this in my spirit and something didn't feel right I read in other places that it was okay but I felt uneasy..so God brought me here and just a few seconds in I had that confirmation..I I lmmediately threw my tree out. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Whatever choice we make, the motive behind a believer’s decision about this, as in all matters of conscience, must be to please the Lord. Amen. Too much sometimes. I have had a tree since a young child. God has blessed me in ways that I will never forget with the tree decorating my house for Christmas. Preach the Word and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. I have read Jeremiah 10 and asked God about it and he sent me to Romans like you. God searches the intents of the heart and I do believe if I was out of His will, He would not bless me to affect people's lives with ministry the way He does through my God-given gifts. If the Bishop is preaching about a decoration (the tree), he should not be celebrating Christmas at all, because it is said to be a pagan (heathen) holiday. That would make him a hypocrite!
I hope "learning the WAYS of the heathen" includes...Easter bunnies....Halloween-Hallelujah Parties...and a lot of other things that are not for CHRISTIANS according to the scriptures!!

Since March 1998 when God saved me I have not celebrated any holidays (Xmas or Birthdays, etc.) If it’s not in the Bible, I don’t do it. God did not say he was born on December 25th and to celebrate by giving gifts to each other. I’m In the world but not of it. Amen and glory be to God 🙏🏾.

My guess is that he means he still celebrates the (said) birth of Christ Yeshua (Now called "Jesus"; Which is absolutely strange) on this date, for whatever odd reason. Although, whether this is the actual accurate date of His birth or not--- celebrating it, he's practically still "doing what the heathens do"... Only, he does it without a tree. Mark Scott if we listen to what he is saying... yes it is scary, when you know better (if we’re really live by the word of GOD), but do different! Yet, he celebrates the day, after knowing “what the word say” the church resembles the world so much until they look like twins!! This is a very contradicting preached message ! Either you believe or you don’t! Now days the churches are lukewarm and on the fence about things they shouldn’t be! It’s not rocket science! You can’t talk about the decorations of the tree and yet buy presents for your children and family! Did you go out and buy Christ a gift? I bet, very few if any, said happy birthday right before they handed the gifts to family! It’s not the family members birthday that received gifts. @Life Builders, The 7th day is the Sabbath, the rest day given to human kind, after creation was completed, as spoken of in Genesis 2. It was reiterated in Exodus 20, as the 4th commandment.
In the beginning when creation was begun, there were no jewish people, the Sabbath was given to the only two humans alive, Adam and Eve, so the 7th day Sabbath is, and has always been for all human kind, not just for the jews.
Although Jesus rose on the 1st day of the week, there is no scripture in the old or new testament, of the bible, that says we are to worship on the first day of the week. God numbered the days, man named the days...
We do remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy. . .We also do not forsake the assembly of ourselves with other Believers.
Can we look at it this way, Since GOD never said what day to corporately gather, Saturday is the Sabbath and Sunday is corporate Worship.

This sermon reminds me of when entire denominations say that women can't wear pants because The Bible says that a woman should not wear that which pertains to a man. When in actuality, that scripture is talking about cross dressing. The same type of misinterpretation holds true with this scripture. In this scripture, as well as Isaiah 44, God was talking about idolatry and carving out idols to worship them. Not putting up a Christmas tree, which incidentally did not exist until a few thousand years after that scripture was written. Oh, by the way, I see a lot of Poinsettias around the pulpit. The same flower that was used in heathen Aztec religious ceremonies.

So Christmas is a great time to remind people that Jesus is the reason for the season. Which is exactly why they want to remove any reference to him during that time of year. The problem with many Christians is that we want to impose our standards on other Christian brothers and sisters, and judge them within our hearts for not being as holy or following the Word as correctly as we are, which according to Romans 14, and Isaiah 65:5 is also not a good thing. So I personally see nothing wrong with giving gifts to children to make them happy, all the while reminding them that the joy they get from receiving such gifts will quickly fade, but God gave us the greatest gift of all.

As a Christian saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ my job my obligation in life is to share the gospel MARK 16:15 with every single person I come across because the wrath of God abideth on them as long as they are dead in their trespasses they must be born again .. there must be a moment in time where you remember repenting changing your mind of what you have always believed and believe the truth of the word of God which is that Jesus Christ God In the Flesh died in our place paid the debt for our sin was laid in the tomb went three days into the lower parts of the earth came up out of the Grave was seen 40 days on this Earth and then ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the throne of God he is eternal life John 14:6 says I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me the only way to the Father in Heaven is through his Son Jesus Christ and that is what a Christian is supposed to share with others whether we nail down Christmas trees in our living room or not won't save our soul from hell and if we teach somebody not to nail a tree down in their living room yet we never give them the gospel and tell him how to get saved what good is that?

@Jackie Joyner That is your choice sis. I just shared with another poster here that we celebrate all kinds of things that were not instituted by the Apostles. Birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, etc. In the Word of God the bible tells us the angels came forth in song and praise in the earth realm, they communicated the glorious event to the shepherds, -- that is a celebration of Christ's birth and has no pagan origin. The DATE is connected to pagan worship, the event is rooted in the word of God. I love celebrating Christmas. Yesterday, in the park, we sang true hymns that tell the story of God's love, we gave out tracts and gifts, sharing the love of God. If the Lord has led you differently, I understand.

Christmas is a man made Holiday.we are to Celebrate the "Birth of the Saviour."The Roman Catholics designated certain days that we worship on even sunday. This custom of christmas does not include Jesus, it include lights, material things, drunkenness, feasting and gluttony. Jesus is not once mentioned. The kids don't even know nothing bout the birth of Christ Jesus, and the gifts given by wise men. Those gifts were demonicly given by wise men who were psychics and stargazer, readers of the signs. That's why Jeremiah spoke about that "Tree." But when people want to be rebellious and conformed to things of this world they make excuses to do what they do. Like Hallelujah night on Halloween. How you gonna do that on the night of the dead, when the demons and devil is honored. Do a study on halloween night of dead. Trick or treat who you treating, demons those spirits of the dead. Poinsettias is a flower not a Tree. But if you were to use it as a Tree I don't think it would be right. We as christians just must be mindful to keep Jesus as the focus of the day. Bad thing is when you preach scripture out of context many will believe it. If you first recognize that Jeremiah wrote this a long time before the invention of the Christmas tree. Context matters. Secondly If you read vs. 5 of Jeremiah 10 he goes a little deeper and says talking about theses trees cut down and worked by hands and the ax “they are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.” He is clearly talking about cutting down wood and making an idol.

And as marvelous as His birth was, no one was ever commended to celebrate it. But we are told to commemorate His death. Paul said, "I preach Christ CRUCIFIED ". According to the word of God we can only be born again by FAITH in Jesus.
In John 3 Jesus says to Nicodemus
Ye must be born again!
Nicodemus responds by saying how can a man be born when he is old can he enter a second time into his mother's womb?
Jesus then tells him
5.Verily verily I say unto thee except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
6.That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is Spirit.
Jesus defines the water birth and the spiritual verse in verse 6 when
We are born of the water when we come out from our mothers womb this is the flesh birth
We are born AGAIN of the Spirit when we believe on Jesus...not just that he existed but that he was actually the Son of God God In the Flesh the one who died in our place and paid the debt for our sin because he was sinless
If you continue to read on in the Book of John chapter 3 you will see in verse 16 God says
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
We must be born again of the Spirit of God in order to have everlasting life and the only way that we can be born again of the Spirit is by faith in his Son Jesus Christ whom is eternal
Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father but by me
If you look in the book of Acts chapter 8 the Ethiopian eunuch is sitting in his Chariot reading the book of Isaiah he does not understand what he is reading and the Spirit of God sends Philip over to him to explain what he is reading so Philip goes up into the Chariot with the Ethiopian eunuch and declares Jesus to him as they are going along their way the eunuch says
see here is water what doth hinder me to be baptized? and Philip said if thou believest with all thine heart thou mayest and he answered and said I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he commanded the Chariot to stand still and they went down both into the water Philip and the eunuch and he baptized him.
Philip did not baptize him to be saved he told him if you believe then I will baptize you and that is how God planned it.
The reason we are baptized is because it is an outward profession of our faith when you think about this Jesus Christ himself was baptized by John and John didn't understand why but Jesus told him that he did it so that we would follow him but this is not how we are born again Jesus did not need to be born again
We must be born again because we are born of an corruptible seed which will die which is the seed of Adam we must be born again in Christ which is The INcorruptible seed the word of God that never dies Psalm 12 and when we recieve the word of God into our heart which is Jesus Christ we receive eternal life as a gift a free gift as it says in the Book of Romans
Our church attendance the time we spend in prayer Our charitable acts our kindness toward others can never take away our sins but the blood that was shed on the cross of calvary will wash your sins away if you believe on Jesus and what he did for you
I pray that you will believe the gospel the death the burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and call out to him now for salvation there is nothing that you can do no works that will save you from hell Jesus did all the work that was necessary and the only thing you need in order to receive that gift is faith in your heart then you get baptized in water :)

Well this my first time hearing this message, and I will say I am gonna keep up my Christmas tree. I’m not a Heathen and have been brought up in church and know the word. This brother has taken the scripture out of context. I worship God. And Celebrate his son Jesus birth. That Christmas tree ain’t a God. I put it up for the kids.
