It’s such a joy to be able, finally! , to see a complete recordings of you, Calun. I saw you three times at the Théâtre de la Chapelle in Quebec City. Each time was a pure delight. I have rarely felt so much emotion during a show. I can’t wait for you to come back and see us in Quebec City, as soon as this pandemic continues to rot in our lives will be gone. Take care, my friend.
Hi Calum! I am probably about the same age as Don Ross & have played acoustic since I was 12. I actually got to see Michael Hedges in person, not more than 30 feet away, at a coffee house style concert at Phillips University, in his earlier life's home town of Enid, OK. His brother, Craig, attended the U at the same time, I think same graduation year as me ('81). I couldn't believe just how much sound was comin out of the guy's guitar for just one person! Indeed, he was legendary. Your song, Nomad, really seems to reflect the spirit and techniques Michael put into his songs, especially Aerial Boundaries - it invokes pics in my head of old steam railroads being built across prairie, or rollin across the Rockies, Pike's Peak, etc. Michael tried to stay humble with his audiences, and never let it go to his head (I think). Some people just have musical genius, and are meant to share it with the world. I really wish you could have met him, better yet, done a dual concert and played together on certain pieces - wow, would I have loved to hear and see that! What I really like about your compositions is that they aren't just whackin, rappin, tappin, bangin, smackin, etc., though there is some of that, but that you maintain a melodic sense throughout - as with Waiting - absolutely love the harmonics too! Anyway, I wish you the very best throughout your life, and keep living a sane lifestyle so that you may live long to bring us your gifts. At the moment, I am playing songs for worship at the Salvation Army, and a local church. Hi to your Mom! God bless. Dave in Dallas, TX.

thank you Calum for sharing this live concert. This is so much fun for a fan in Austin Tx. I have been your fan since 2010 Canadian Guitar Festival. You inspired me to learn guitar and give gift guitars to friends and young students.
You're the reason why I started trying to play acustic fingerstyle. My son heard "waiting" on RUclips and was amazed. So I decided to learn it as good as I could to impress him. Love your arrangements!!! cheers from greenland 👍
Sooo beautiful. Love it. Hope you can keep doing these! You are a wonderful musician! So lucky we can listen to you! So talented and beautiful arrangements! Thank you Callum!!! 💐
I really enjoyed that! 31:00 I'm so happy you played "Waiting"! Absolutely beautiful and my favorite song by you. It was irresistible not to hum along to the tune! xD Masterpiece. But I do wonder.. how the lyrics would've been if you had written one hmm either way Calum, thanks and greetings from Sweden :)
Beautiful living room concert Calum! Filling the airwaves here in Hawaii with your pristine tones amidst humpback whale sighs. Aloha Brother and mahalo plenty!
Hi Caleb - I saw u play in Rednersville near Belleville ON opening with Manellli Jamal. I have been a big fan since then. I play acoustic guitar and I never get tired of your music! Waiting , Phoenix Rising and Nomad are just 3 of my favourites. (I used to live in Ottawa and heard Don Ross play and bought his albums many years ago.) Thanx for a great mini-concert on you-tube. Much appreciated!
did not know you were live on my birthday, so sad i missed it. amzing guitar player fully respect your talent to play and write.. i would have requested WAITING so all good . thanks Bro
Thank you I wish I would of seen this live. I love your style and I am trying to figure out how to play nomad. I love it thank you for your videos. Keep up the good work. Devon Alberta Canada
You are a fucking genius! I did not have time to watch the live video. But now I see it and I realize that you are my idol, master, I am also a guitar player and I want to be like you. Genio, nothing more to say, greetings from chile!! :)
In Cana-dia, is there a charge for either playing lefty or "listening" to a lefty? If so, is this fee payable in standard shekels, drachma or bit coinlets?
When are you going to do another Facebook mini concert like this? Really enjoyed this and would love to see it LIVE next time!!! :D I would have like to know, what is fuels/inspires your creativity as far as song writing and performing? How old were you when you started playing seriously? Is this something you always wanted to be? Who do you like to listen to, in your spare time? Maybe I will get to hear the answers at a Facebook 2018 concert. ;) Thanks for doing this!
Calum you are very talented. I'm American but live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Would like to invite you to detour down to HCMC when you come to China in September and I will introduce you to some extremely talented local players and we can have some fun.
Love one's vibes my Friend, what are thy guitars tuned to? 432Htz or 440Htz? Gratitude for one's talent and obvious dedication to one's craft and willingness to share one's talent with the world. Any chances of a date in Victoria Canada? In LaK'ech Ala K'in my Friend
You should invest in a Tronical Tune system for your acoustic (may get one soon) Auto tunes your guitar to custom tunings you set. Feel it would make it easier for you since every song for you is in a different tuning,
Hello from Belarus, Calum. Thank you for your music. You have realy impressed me, and it's very hard to do with the guitar and it's harder and harder to do from year to year. But tell me please, when have you become left-handed guitarist? On the old video you are right-handed. What's the matter? =)
