Hi, we (my son 8yrs and I) tried this recipe last night. According to US measurements, the conversion took a long time but it was well worth it. We had to use two (113gms) white chocolate bars in our cake and two in the ganache and our ganache didn't turn out so white. It was a bit yellow towards translucent, perhaps because we used heavy whipping cream and needed more boiling? We ended up using a 9"square pan and baked only for 1hr and 5-6 min and it came out a tad-bit dry. Overall, loved baking a unique flavor cake! THANK YOU!!!
I made this cake last week and it came out insanely delicious!!! Everyone loved it! I had to make it again yesterday! Thank you for the recipe Nicko! I added it to my fav recipes box!
I was thinking of changing steps a little to make the cake fluffier by applying the typical steps of creaming butter first n then slowly adding in melted White chocolate. Will try this soon.
Hi, i'm from Mexico and literally deing for this cake, but i have a question. What's the difference between self reicing flour and the plain flour? I love all your recepies so easy and delicius!!! Kisses from Mexico
hi NIcko, 1. Do I need to swipe some butter at inner part of the tin cylinder, so the cake won't stick on the side? 2. Is this cake suitable for making a cream cake? (with fresh cream covered) Thanks!
i have to say you are very talented. i only just saw your channel for the first time today, and i'm really happy i found it. thank you for sharing your delicious recipes. keep them coming lol.
omg Nicko u dont know what you're getting started my friend... Lol the cake looks verrrry delicious and as soon as i get out to my grocery to get a lovely bar of white chocolate, I am going to make this with my niece...... watching this video actually blew my mind... Wow I cannot wait to make this cake bc white chocolate is my very favorite
i made 3 cakes at 330 degrees 50 mins for 1 small round one 60 mins for the other small round one (both same size pans) and hr n ten mins for my lil bit larger square one. Cakes turned out beautiful but my ganache turned out ok, after cooling, it didnt get super thick so I let it cool for a bit longer n then I I put it on my cakes put them in the fridge after about 5 mins took them out n put another coating on them becus it was thin n transparent. They look ok, haven't tasted yet.. will update u
Thanks for the demonstration, I see that the quantities for white mud cake is the same as for chocolate mud cake but it's cooked at a much lower tempreture for longer time , 150c for 1 hour & 3/4 mins, and it needs to be wrap in aluminium to cool down and keep moister, is that wright?
Hi! I just made the cake and it has only cooked for 30 minutes and it already looked done. I checked with a stick if the inside was done, and it looks like it is, is it possible? I put the oven at 180c like u said...I cant even try it cause i made it for my friends bday. Any opinions? Thank you!
Mine's in the oven now but I stupidly didn't sieve the flours so the mixture was lumpy, 180c is too hot as well as it started to burn on top after 20 mins have turned it down and am hoping for the best. But I might have to try again, used an 8 inch tin with a bit of height to it because wasn't sure what size tin to use, methinks I should of used a shallower 9 inch.
Thanks so much. We ate it one hour ago and although it was only in the oven for 30 minutes, the cake was pretty dry inside...mmm...I hope next time i make it better!. Thank you! :-)
i just want to say,i like chocolate cake and specially white and i wanna try it but isnt 180 degree for hour and 20 min. is long time? and baking powder with raising flour isnt too much? and the gaunash is put directly on it while hot or the cake calm down 1st? thanx
To this day this is the best recipe imo you ever posted XP so so yum! my favourite dessert is white chocolate cookies/muffins/cake...but mudcake? Dear lord your pushing the barriers of excellence !!!
@adikque i hope next time you will read the description where all the ingredients and measurements are......plus i mentioned it in the video. Pays to watch the whole thing
Flour/ icing sugar: 1cup = 120 gramm butter/sugar : 1cup = 225 gramm... the best way is to use a big coffee mug ( about 230 ml) and messure all the ingredients with this mug. I got my messuring tools from XENOS btw ;-) it's a set going from a teaspoon up to 1/2 cup
Ganache is a mixture of chocolate and cream melted together, it looks like glaze because it's a white chocolate ganache rather than a milk or dark chocolate.
I LOVE white chocolate. Being a chocolate lover on its own, I love white chocolate the most :) ... Just the texture and creaminess behind it is sooooo good! :D Glad I subbed to u man :)
@MrDirtBack Keep it longer in if you're sure that the temperature is right. If it starts to burn or anything, turn off the heat and leave it in the oven. You could also put a bit of baking soda and put it in. Then it will rise more.
everyone's oven is different, some might take longer, others faster, even at the same temperature reading. sometimes, it's best to chalk it up to experience to know when it's done.
seems TASTY!!! the bad is in kuwaitwe dont have the white choc by cadury ;( only the black chocs ;/ when i visit england again i'll full a bad with cadbury store ;p

everyone's oven is different, some might take longer, others faster, even at the same temperature reading. sometimes, it's best to chalk it up to experience to know when it's done.

Full Cream Milk: je mleko koje sadzri punu masnocu negde oko 3,5% ili vise
This does have the heart tick of approval, right?
cream is a layer of fatty deposits that settles at the top of milk, We can buy it separately from milk here.
yum yum i will be trying this
@deboruccia2006 thanks for watching :)
what kind of cream (brand) do u use for the ganache?? tnxx :)
@BartJanCrum do u think this can be used as a regular vanilla cake?
Really enjoy watching you, are you a trained chef :)
