Wow... Yet another spectacular vlog. Always worth watching it. Right now it is 11:15 pm, I'm on my bed about to sleep but then after watching this, I'm ravenous😄😄😋.
Being born and brought up in Bangalore... Little did I know about these places... Because usually you will be stuck in one corner of the city your entire life...Thank you ..For your videos
Hello Ivana you can also check out Toscano - jaynagar, Pasta street- Cunningham road and Truffles- Koramangala these are cafes which are famous locally. Loved your blog😀
Hi Ivana My name is Raghavendra I live in Netherlands but am from Bengaluru.. I really miss those places where u visited And love the way you treat the city and way you explain...good luck for your stay
The Bangalore of some three decades ago only about 25% "developed" as compared to how it is today. But even then, it was, in my opinion, the "modern" city of South India. Also at that time, the cost of living in Bangalore was around 20% of what it costs today. Food in restaurants and transportation was totally inexpensive when compared to what it is today. The population was maybe around 30-40% of what it is today. Bangalore has come a long way since then.
Three decades ago would take us into the 90s. Take it back a couple of decades more, where you could stick your head out at the traffic intersections that were slowly replacing round-abouts, and the cop would be most understanding, stop the other traffic and wave you on. That was the Bangalore before Bengaluru, divided between the City and the Cantonment (I think Peter Colaco wrote a book about it). One constant - Koshy's was strong even then.
More cafe videos please...this video was bang on & yes both the cafe’s are my favourite..I wish I could have bumped into you during your visit😬... Do visit Dyu Art Cafe(Koramangala)& Hebe’s Cafe (HSR Layout) if you haven’t it’s lovely .Both have continental food & cozy ambience😍
You found your favourite place 🤗 ✌🙂 Calzone, This made me remember that pizza restaurant on the end of the Leidse straat in Amsterdam. 🍕 It's reality full stuffed with "gehakt" and lots of buttery saus 😛 🙃
Thank you Ivana. What a wonderful and informative blog on places far away. Please continue to give us more, as a service to the world community. We are one family and sooner we realize, the better off this world will be.
you should really try Noodle Panda in kormangala! they have really amazing veg ramen also other kinds of noodles! that is what I am missing the most about bangalore!
You should try the Infinitea cafe either in Indiranagar or on Cunningham Road for some amazing tea. I have a feeling you will like it if you haven’t been already.
These are all something which most people cannot afford, there are small famous eateries across the city that serve affordable tasty food for masses... Some of them are very old that have been an inspiration for many others
I think you underestimate what other people can and can't afford. Also I mentioned Udupi Park, Bhartya Jalpan and MTR where plenty of masses eat 😊 Would love to visit the military hotel though!
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial thanks for the reply.... unfortunately military hotels do not have much to offer for vegetarians like you and me - I would suggest try ragi ball with a good spinach sambhar home style if you are looking for those rustic ones
I'm surprised to find HAL 2nd stage so completely built up and teeming with traffic. I used to go there decades ago and it was still calm, and there were many plots with vacant land. Not anymore. Very pleasant change after long time....so i wld recommend u to check more cafes and food outlets but obviously keepin in consideration the ongoing scenario of corona...keep your xposure to minimum...mayb u can cover few cafes on different days and then compile it into one video. Hey do u know ‘Cha’ is punjabi word for ‘Chai’ ?
Hi Ivana, Thank you for the wonderful vlogs covering my city Bangalore. Being cooped up WFH, it always lifts my spirits whenever I watch your videos during break. I suggest.... MTR (Lalbagh Road), Maiyyas (Jayanagar 4th Block), Udupi Krishna Bhavan (Gandhi Bazar or Chickpete), Brahmin's Coffee Bar (Shankar Mutt Rd), Vidyarthi Bhavan (Gandhi Bazar), Ramakrishna Lodge (Majestic), Woodys' (Commercial Street), Ullas (MG Road), Gundappa hotel, K.C. Das (MG Road). Some of these are old (prev generation) hotels where brahmins and strict vegetarians (who don't eat garlic even) still go for Thaali or an evening snack sometimes. You may find it interesting to check them. But please go after sometime.... when the 2nd Corona wave has come down a bit... Stay home, Stay safe.
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial You are welcome. Also Kamat Bugle Rock (Bull Temple Rd) "Jolada Rotti" meals..... And not all Indians eat or necessarily like spicy food! Home food is usually much less spicy and people go to outside places to eat once in a while just for a change :-)
Tried Lucky Chan yesterday. It's a cute place and because it was a Sunday it was crowded so making a reservation is a must. The main attraction are the sushis on a conveyor belt, probably the only one in Bangalore so far. Food is good but definitely on the expensive side..if not for the conveyor belt experience, there are other many pan Asian and sushi places around for less the price and probably just as good if not better. By the way, I commented on your vlog about Zed The Baker, Prestige Trade Tower. I finally went back last Friday with my small son and had a wonderful time. Such a pretty place. I found the raspberry cake a bit on the expensive type but I just had to try it too. 😂😂😂 The Pain Au Chocolat is so good as well the hot chocolate drink. ❤️ By the way, Lucky Chan used to be Misu but they changed the name, interior and some of the items in their menu as well as the added conveyor belt. ❤️
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial You're welcome Ivana. I was just as happy when I saw your vlog about Zed, it gave me an even compelling reason to go back. I took so many nice photos.
