Excellent! Man, you became my go to channel when it comes to guitar sounds of all kind! Love your tasteful playing and your sounds are always top notch! You deserve at least two more zeroes at the end of your subscribers count !! Thank you very much for your hard work and best of luck to you!!
Probably the best sounding demo I have heard of this amp. It has sounded like various degrees of fizzy crap in a lot of demos but sounds really good here.
H&K refers to it as high fidelity gain FYI, and yes, ALL their amps can sound fizzy it just depends on who's playing and how you dial them it. Tube swapping may remove it, but it's their TM tone so I think it's a futile attempt at attempting what they shoot for. Hopefully this makes sense.
Just bought one of these and I'm blown away at how good it sounds. Stick a real overdrive in front as opposed to the boost button and it's even better. I've owned several amps both tube and SS and this thing hangs with some of the best IMO.
I just fired my bad boy black spirit up for the first time in a little bit and was greatly satisfied with the tones and feel I was getting! I have a amp 1 iridium a shipping tomorrow to me and I am all about shooting the two of these out and see which one will work for me best!
Just bought this amp with a HB 2x12 with V30's in it, but I'm more so looking to use it with my Fractal AX8, how did you go about hooking the H&K up with your Axe Fx III?
I'm here only to tell that i own some really nice amps, my main live one is a Friedman JJ Jr. and i own this Black spirit for 2 or 3 weeks. God dammit, i'm not using the friedman. I really love how this thing understand the attack and voice of my guitars and really loving how versatile it is. In certain scenarios, i don't like the clean chanel of the JJ Jr, so i have to use the crunch channel and play a lot with the volume of the guitar... so i really can't get an almost clean tone (it always has certain crunch on it). OK, this amp HAS tones. REALLY.
Definitely the best solid state I have heard (right there with the Blug Amp1), but it costs about $1200 where I live. For $1400 I can get the H&K Grandmeister, so I can’t justify buying the Black Spirit. If it was the same price as the Blug Amp1, I’d be more tempted.
can I connect this black spirit amp into my 2 active frfr cabs ? should I lower the output knob on frfr cabs or lower the master on black spirit ? can’t find this info.. thanks a lot guys
how would I use IRs live with this amp? I hate their redbox tones but love the amp, and have a bunch of OH IRs I'd like to use instead while also using a cab on stage
Hi! I'm just wanted to ask if there any possibility to see engl ironball 20w in-depth demo (with other tones, guitars, and stuff like that)? Cheers mate!
@@SonicDriveStudio Can't wait for that ^^ I have a question if you don't mind. Just wanted to know if you'll recommend that as an first tube amp for home use, for heavy stuff?
@@BaCkToODream sorry I misread your question. I would definitely recommend this amp for that! Just make sure you like how it sounds by checking demos etc
Great video again! Not to much difference to my ears on a studio monitor from the Grandmiester 40 that we talked about a while back and that I own as well. Your views on the closeness of sounds of both amps? H+K getting close to replicating tubes? Old guy from Canada is askin! TC
Which amp has been higain sound the GM or the BS? I had the GM40 and didnt like this ultra channel.....are both ultra channels identical or close to each other?
I had great pickups, no pedals in the signal chain and a Marshall 4x12 with V30s, and the ultra channel was muddy and unusable. An OD pedal made it a little better, but not great.
Just like any amp, matching it with the RIGHT cabinet makes all the difference. Nothing to do with whether your gear was good or not. Just may not have been a good match with the marshall cab.
Your guitar skills combined with your awesome mastering is a bloody treat... every time.
Making Amps sound great once again!

I can still hear it

Killer video again! Playing, tones, mastering... we love it!
Cheers! :)
Greatest playing and demo there.... Thanks! Melodic is the way
I like the Telecaster so much, especially the neck pickup .....
This amp rocks although not being a tube amp. Good presentation. Thank you so much.

WoW! This Amp Sounds Great!
I Want One! 🤘🏻👊🏻
Love your job man!
Thank you! :)
Best sound demos on youtube!
Well done demo! I am now convinced to buy this amp. You may have also convinced me to add a Telecaster to the Arsenal. Thanks! 😁

How did it go?
@Miffex Not good I had a bad unit and it burned out first day.:/
Great video! that's a great sounding solid state amp!
Awesome sounds!! I would be interested in the built in cab sims, because I can't recreate that tones... :(
Excellent compositions, this video sounds amazing dude!!!
Nice Demo 🤘
If I had not bought it already, I would definitely think about now 😅
Dat emg sounded sick damn.

Best demos
Man I thought I didn't like this amp but you made me think again. Hope there will be a comparison with the Grandmeister. Keep up the great work!
Comparison coming soon! :)

If gig, get the solidstate cuz it more durable.
Great guitar sound one more time! Have you think about a video course of achieve that fantastic results?
Yup yup I have one...
I like it but prefer the H&K GM 40. Then again its tubes vs. ss. You demo on this was fantastic as well. Thanks.

Nice tones, nice riffs, nice beards! let’s make America hairy again👍🏻🇺🇸
Motherf... this sounds awesome! How does it feel though?
It feels great to play! The sagging control really helps to make it feel like a tube amp
Baritone rockabilly and Nickleback together forever.
Great sound, but record only amp it's in my opinion the main thing, fractal and others. No sens. Great sound 👍

This amp Is high gain???
You ever give guitar lessons?
The best sounding tube amp thats not a tube amp.
Hellyeah 🤘🔥💯
Do you think that this is the best solid-state amp head out there?
What tuning are you using with the white telecaster at about 6:35?
Drop C#
Hi! Did you stop using helix as an audio interface and switched back to the axe?
I use both

@@SonicDriveStudio would you please consider doing room mics solo'd as well just for variety? (If you can). Either way rock on!
I had one, hated the gain channel and sold it. You make it sound great, but it's probably post-mix.
No eq or compression on the guitars

Sucks that the guitars are at least double tracked. C'mon man.... @ 9:48 obviously sounds meh when there's only one guitar track playing.
