Late to the party, but thanks for making these! I've been wakeskating forever, but today I managed to sorta land my first toeside kicker hit. I can do them heelside just fine, and I can do fs 180 heelside/toeside no problem. But man, just a bare hit on a kicker toeside is still so awkward for me
Yes! Just startet wakeskating this year after years of skating on concrete. Had a lot of questions youtube couldn’t answer at that point an now there is this awesome channel! Thanks dude!
Ah dude! I am so happy this is helping you out! I've just moved cities and homes so just finding my feet but there will be more to come in the new year FOR SURE!
Yooo Matti, sick tutorials! What about a little informational video about what to look for in a wakeskate and where to find them? Especially in the UK someone coming into the sport finds it hard to get hold of a decent skate that’s gonna hold up to the abuse you give it through obstacles. Also there’s not much user friendly information out there to point newbies into the right direction! Keep up the videos man! Great to see some new wakeskate material coming through still!
Hey Zander, definitely dude! I think that is a super important question and coming from South Africa i definitely know and understand the struggles of trying to get your hands on one. I will work on this for sure! Thanks so much for the feedback dude!
You mentioned getting more pop. I feel I don't get much pop off the kicker, and when I try to push more the board feels too loose, like I don't have control, in the air. Can you describe the timing on a kicker to get more pop? Thanks for this and all the videos, so helpful!
Hey Derek, thanks so much for your comment dude, i really appreciate it. So most of your "pop" on the kickers when wakeskating actually comes from your speed and also getting the nose up nice and high before levelling out in the air. Take it slow and speed up a little more and you will feel the difference for sure!
Ah dude! It was so good to see you at the cable on Saturday! Stoked to see you getting the hang of the obstacles to. I will definitely be diving into handle control more in one of the later episodes. Hopefully see you again for a shred soon!
thanks brother for sharing. how i get that pop of the kicker? like flying a nice curve? when do i flat out? do i cross the kicker diagonal? so that i fly that little loop and can lean in the rope ? just like the very first hit in the clip. ...? could you explain how to get there?
@@TreyyDaMenaceFan im starting to land it actually, i think when you get to edge you just have to sort of lift ur self up ,make a small jump and the board will come up w ur feet try that
Sven! I hope you're good dude. It definitely is different because everything happens a lot slower and your shuv is a lot softer. We have a tutorial coming out tomorrow that will hopefully help answer a lot of questions on this for you. =)
Let the board come up by continiung to bend knees while in air. Chances are You're kicking board down in air, the board has to keep going up after the kicker.

Super advice bru! Thanks for the heads-up on the handle position/control. You need to do a deep dive on that someday soon!

I‘ve been told a shuvit off a Kicker (or Box/rail) is quit different to a usual shuvit. Do you have any advices?

I don’t know how to keep the board in my feet on the way down. As soon as I jump it falls. Any tips?
