Are FIFO greenies too NEEDY? 🤷
In this video I talk about one of the most common issues I see on site, which is the relationship between the established workers and the greenies, especially after the covid influx.
For the established crew, theres a general feeling that greenies are needy.
For the greenies, theres a general feeling that no matter what they do they're not good enough.
The way I see it, it all comes down to building the capacity to acknowledge and celebrate our own effort and wins.
In doing so, we learn to generate validation from within, which leads to being less reliant on those around us...
And in a masculine industry like FIFO, this tends to releases the expectation and pressure valve enough for some of the older heads to begin giving praise.

@@LachieSamuel Men. Most of the people I have seen working in mining industry belongs to white ethnicity. Is there any specific reason for example preference, racism or work ethics involved. Cheers
