I wonder how many of you actually played the home version of this series, which Selchow & Righter called "TV Scrabble" (and, of course, it used the TV series' logo instead of the classic one from their original board game)? It was released in 1987, at which time S&R was then a division of Coleco (whose ColecoVision video game system was sold in the years 1982-85).
Hey, Steve. Good job on the 2 days you were on the show aside from the fact that you messed up on one of the words that gave you a 10 second penalty. Sorry you didn't win that 5 grand in the bonus sprint though. Oh, well, I am sure you had a great time on the show anyway, right?
every afternoon after school, one of my favorite game shows!
Scrabble, Sale of the Century, and Super Password: the game shows of NBC. Nothing but... *CLASSIC!*

About that comment you made to Chuck during your second show, was that part censored when it was broadcast, or did you add that sound on your own?

Well, maybe the 2 episodes Steve appeared on was taped in late 1987 but aired in early 1988. That's my hunch anyway.
Almost sounds like the tape screwed up.
But what happened to Carole? What a gyp!
Umm..how was he removed
What'd you do with your moolah, Steve?

RIP Reg Grundy
This is 1988, not 1987.
Carole went to Margate, NJ that summer and met an 18 year old game show freak on the beach. Well maybe she did....
