FINALLY! So many years overdue. This will help build the fanbase even further! To Band-Maid and management: Thank you, and please don't forget all the wonderful live performances, songs and responses from JBI and WD at ZEPP and Studio Coast. The Garden and Shibuya performances are great, too! 🤘🎀🤘And thank you, Joel, for another great reaction!
Fast becoming one of my favourite Band-Maid songs! In part because of the story/emotions; in part because of the musicianship (including Saiki and Miku's superb vocals); in part because it just plain kicks arse! Thanks for the reaction, Joel.
I've seen BAND-MAID five times now, and 'Puzzle' is at the top of my list of songs I haven't seen performed live. I did get to see my favorite song, 'Secret My Lips' at my first BAND-MAID show. I agree, Miku's backup vocals on 'Puzzle' take it to another level.
In the Puzzle acoustic version you did before, it was lead guitarist Kanami playing the acoustic guitar and doing backing vocals. The official track and regular live version here, is with Miku doing the backing vocals.
One of my favorites from when I first discovered them. What stood out for me was Kanami playing lead throughout song. Joel you do know Miku wrote these lyrics, Right!! What was different was Miku's small solo, wasn't there in the early version.
IF YOU LIKE MIKU, YOU MUST SEE MIKU'S MAGIC SPELL TIME. THE SMALL VENUE CROWDS REVEL IN THE ATTENTION FROM MIKU AND THE REST OF THE BAND. LOTS OF LOUD CHEERS, LOTS OF LAUGHTER AND MILE WIDE SMILES.
You need to check the Studio Coast live version if you can find it.. I forget if it was 2017 or 2018. The instrumental mix on that version CRUSHED this one. Though I like the vocal mix, and the power of Saiki's voice more on this version. (aka there are great aspects to both versions) That show.. though.. the attack coming through from Misa's bass was the most gorgeous tone I've ever heard.
Until Band-Maid came along, no other band grabbed my attention like Mötley Crüe did back in '83... thanks again for showing your music industry brothers... the exposure means alot to the fans.
This is the song that best describes Bandmaid as a progressive punk band. Some of the members (probably Akane) definitely have punk rock in their backbone.
I didn't say they weren't good.i didn't think this song was great. Even the host didn't dig it. I've been a multi instrument player since I was 12. I saw the Beatles proform on the Ed Sullivan show. I grew up with Jimmy Hendrix. Led Zeppelin. Deep purple Eddie Van Helen. Sorry I didn't care for this. So kill me
My song number 1, but not this version, the mix is meh ... (if not in video, may I suggest Unfair Game and so many others.. it's the best rock band alive)
I can understand different taste, but no substance makes no sense. Are you even listening? This song is so full of details that you can listen to it many times and discover something new every time. The instruments are all playing intricate parts that weave themselves together to a symbiotic whole. Just the drum pattern alone is a fascination to listen to. Just how it changes all the time to fit the flow of the song.
Respect your opinion mate ... but have to say, I'm 75 yrs gone, been around the musical block as a performer and a listener so many times I'm dizzy, ... and yet these girls still manage to bring a smile to my face every time I listen, they bring so much to the table, so much skill and innovation. Just wish I was lucky enough to get to a gig, maybe they'll come to Oz one of these days :)

Saiki has become an arena level singer.
It's a good thing because Band Maid is going to be an arena band this November. KURRUPO!
@@randymcmillen647 And I will be there😁
@@sugaanessena3143 I envy you. I'm can only watch it online.
@@randymcmillen647 I hope you get the chance one day.
The more I play this, the more I love it. So I love it a lot.

Sweaty Saiki giving us her all. The Queen of Service.

I bet Saiki puts Puzzle on their upcoming USA small venue tour. We can hope!
Any plans so far, or are you waiting for west coast tour announcements?
@@johnmatthew102 Waiting on West Coast announcements.
lucky so and so I have only seen them twice (both in 2019) and got neither "Puzzle" or "SML" but did get 23 wonderful songs

MISA MISA MISA!!!!! My fav track.
I love the fact that the audio recording is so raw. Sounds absolutely amazing.
Can't wait to get this show in the mail, hopefully in May sometime..
I like the sound mix on this one better than the other live versions. Also the guitars sound way way better.
I wasn't as sure about this Puzzle live as the old one but it's growing on me lol ❤
Fck'n amazing!!!!
Love this song! This is the Band-Maid I love.
Have one of your roadie friends react to this video. It’s a good introduction to BAND-MAID.
they are great
Saichan has excellent breath control! ❤These women are second to none!
This will be a great one to show your future guests.

Agree on the backing vocals. Solid.
It's like we are watching most of the non-Japanese world discover the Beatles with a 7 album backlog.

Play me some Mammoth... WVH yes Eddie's son is doing his own thing and it's awesome
By the way Mammoth was the first name of Van Helen
But it's not his father's band. Dare you to check it out

Wow. what is that bass Misa has there ?
joel great reaction...please react...MANNERS LIVE...TURN ME ON LIVE...MISA intro very great and REAL EXISTEANCE LIVE..
Except the Beatles never played this good live not even close
My favorite Band Maid song. Not my favorite performance of it by them.
My song number 1, but not this version, the mix is meh ... (if not in video, may I suggest Unfair Game and so many others.. it's the best rock band alive)
Sorry they don't cut it for me. Or Baby metal.
There's no substance. Just like most metal. I guess I'm to old to get it
