You could try to make it even more animated like how the 'skull heads' appear sequentially after the shrine is summoned, and include like a watery shadowy affect when the shrine erupts from an inkish water. Kind of how megumi fushigoro establishes his domain, which is where sukuna's technique is similar to.

I am not saying they are easy. I am just saying that 2d animation is generally harder
