    No need for external ground? Then what is that other wire you got attached to it besides the coax?

      I think that's to tighten it when adjusting the antenna angle

    Do you have to remove window tinting when mounting a glass Mount cb antenna?

    • @koriko88
      @koriko88 Год назад

      If the window tint is metallized and blocks RF signals, and the antenna is a through-glass mount (meaning it sends a signal through the glass) then you would need to cut a small hole in the tint underneath the antenna mount.

    While the idea of a suction cup mount is neat for something very temporary, why not just drill a NMO antenna mount and be done with it ? If installed properly, they don't leak nor detract the resale value at all. I have NMO's on all my vehicles and never once was I asked about it at trade in time.

      How are you able to obtain an RF ground plane with that mount? Most antennas require a metal surface to attach to for that ground plane.

      @@dereklea1183 if you knew anything about radios, then you'd understand how 1/2 wave antennas work and not asking this question.

    You just showed you suction cupping a mount to your window with an antenna cable fitting already installed....... I bought 2 of these based off this video, but the NMO antenna cable mount does not fit through the small hole in the mount. So.... Not sure how you modified this bracket to fit the standard NMO cable to work on this..... But this is not a plug and play option for rugged radio systems folks. Thumbs down on this whole video and purchase...

      "youre" is spelled You're. It is a compound word and is pronounced the same as Your. You're determines some type of action. YOU ARE... Your is possessive. It determines that it belongs to the noun of the sentence. YOUR criticism of this man's American vocabulary was rude and is why YOU'RE being educated on YOUR ignorance, so YOU'RE less ignorant... Other than that, thank you for YOUR understanding. Kind regards from America where we speak American. Not English... ;-{)
