I agree. The 1972 oncler showed how anyone could be greedy due to the fact of him being faceless. And that businesses could have a horrible impact on the earth it’s self. And the 2012 oncler showed how not all people want to do those bad things rather that they are pressured or are forced to do those things due to someone or something I feel like this is something many fail to understand.

I’d say the problem here is while 2012 onceler is a great character, this simply isn’t who the onceler was supposed to be in my opinion, making the 2012 onceler into this misunderstood guy who just made some mistakes isn’t exactly what you should be going for if you’re trying to write a selfish businessman carried away by his own greed, in fact, if they simply added the song “biggering” that alone probably would’ve saved his character, of course, I’m not saying the 2012 onceler is horribly written, in fact all of the bad parts he has are simply because illumination didn’t wanna be hypocritical to their own brand, I just think if they made the oncelers actions caused by HIM and his own desire and greed and less of his families expectations then I think I would’ve liked his character and his growth a lot more in the film Jesus Christ I put more effort into a movie analysis then my own school 😂✌️ I applaud those who bother reading this omg- Js wanna say tho, Js my opinion as someone who watches both the 1972 and 2012 film-

I’d say the problem here is while 2012 onceler is a great character, this simply isn’t who the onceler was supposed to be in my opinion, making the 2012 onceler into this misunderstood guy who just made some mistakes isn’t exactly what you should be going for if you’re trying to write a selfish businessman carried away by his own greed, in fact, if they simply added the song “biggering” that alone probably would’ve saved his character, of course, I’m not saying the 2012 onceler is horribly written, in fact all of the bad parts he has are simply because illumination didn’t wanna be hypocritical to their own brand, I just think if they made the oncelers actions caused by HIM and his own desire and greed and less of his families expectations then I think I would’ve liked his character and his growth a lot more in the film
