What's Really Happening On The Angeles Crest Highway? - A Must-watch Update!

I wanted to fly around Mt WIlson but I decided to see how well the road repairs are coming on Angeles Crest Highway. How are they doing? Enjoy!

Saw a report from CALTRANS a while back saying that they expected the highway to be open this coming spring. Looks like the repair work going on in your last video is complete. That was the same spot as a slide in 2019. Hopefully there is not too much damage this year. Nice videos by the way.

Amazing Drone shots , great content and editing . Looking at this cut into the hill side with this perspective gives a new appreciation and respect to the construction and engineering team that would have to be involved in this risky undertaking . Just looking up the cost and it states 10.5 million , and you can get an Adventure Pass if you want to walk it apparently on weekends 8 to 4 ..

You don’t need to be licensed and apps like Aircontrol make regulations easier.

@@DroneFlyingwithUncleBob you don’t need a pilot license, but the paperwork is still massive. You have to apply for a ID, you have to attach it to the drone, register your drone and carry that certificate with you, people that are serious about it go ahead and study and get their part 107 license. There are people like you that post on RUclips without the part 107 a good find $100,000 because you’re making a profit and it’s not just for recreation anymore.

I used to live in Quartz Hill & we would take our dirt bikes there but that was back in 1994 they were building a new dam behind the old one back then I never got to see what it looks like now moved to Sacramento & have not had a chance to go back ever since . I grew up in Palmdale & Quartz Hill I'm sure alot has changed since 1994 I would guess things are build up every were . Going from Quartz to Palmdale was all desert back then I bet now its all houses,apts,condos& Stores & gas places .@@DroneFlyingwithUncleBob The
