For any normal person this phone is more than enough. I rate it 9,5/10 without a doubt.
But don't we all really need a $2000 Samsung? No we DON'T.
@@lancemurray7107 My only use for my Samsung is to cram every single emulators as much as possible thanks to it's processor and storage. But I would prefer a nokia for travelling for it's durability since my hands get slippery from the heat.

did you buy it and use it? I have one and it got many problems, 7 months passed and change it. I admit I was fooled by the brand and specs but the phone is physically weak and fragile

I won this phone from Nokia Australia last week. Have put my Pixel 2 away while using this as a test. I’ve been very impressed so far..not sure if it will remain as my main phone, but not dissatisfied thus far...

@@TheWowwa the main lens is pretty decent, especially the portrait effects etc. The wide angle is ok outdoor, does get blurry and distorted on the edges..but don't try using it inside.. Overall, I reckon the Pixel 3A is a much better option all over, from my use with that also. The processor does struggle under heavy camera load and if you've been opening a few apps. For the price, it's great...but I'd save more $$ and go Pixel 3A in my opinion, despite the design and feel of the 7.2 being a bit better

@@chuckfriebe843 the battery management is getting smarter day by day. I used to get a 1-day usage per charge, but now it's 1.5 days.
I've been using this phone for about a month now (the 6GB/1288GB version), and have some thoughts.
1) Real world battery life has been great for me, I always made my previous phone run out before the end of the day, but this Nokia's battery hasn't died on me yet.
2) Camera's... Yeah I kinda expected them to be better, but they're still at least as good as most competitors at this price.
3) AndroidOne makes navigating this phone feel like your using a flagship. Man what a huge leap in fluidness compared to the Samsung midranger I was using before.
Most importantly, I really don't regret getting this phone

@@therandomcabbage2684 The default music player is Google's Play Music. It's the orange triangle in the folder "Google" that's on your homepage. It'll ask you if you want to subscribe, but just click "no thanks" on those prompts. Then open the menu on the left and go to "music library" to listen to the music that's on your phone or SD-card.
Alternatively if you don't like Play Music, there are plenty of other music apps in the play store

Thank you, Will! Even though this review is over one year old, it is quite useful as the Nokia 7.2 is still in the shops in some markets. Keep up the good work!
Why do you give a review and discourage people from buying the phone. Just review it. It's a personal decision to buy it or not and it's not your money though. You didn't comments on the Zeiss properties available on the device as well

Next 2 years this Nokia will do just fine for me. The specs for phones change faster then my underwear.

Its not easy to build flagship u need a lot of research and resources ALOT.... with fierce competition in high end tier Nokia Hmd Need to differentiate their own flagship from competition (As Oneplus, Pixel, Samsung and Huawei have their own signature features)

7.2 is sooooo bad. Owned it for 2 years, so many bugs that make you hate your life.
I love how the phone looks and feels. And that's kinda it.
It has 12MP as default but you can change the resolution to 48MP resolution that clicks beautiful pictures.
I will switch to nokia 7.2 i love it i want to buy and use it now

Im using the Nokia 6.1+ and the new interface is quite nice, i usually swipe fast to get to the app drawer, not an issue once you've got used to it.
No idea how much GSMArena has been paid by the chinese brands to defame Nokia 7.2 ..... I own the device and have compared it with other chinese brands, this phone is top notch in all departments. Doesn't matter if the chipset is a 2 year old one. The screen is way too good as compared to REALME, REALME's AMOLED is just for name sake. Nokia 7.2 LCD beat it hands down.
thats what I am thinking.. theres a lot of negative comments in the review... I think it's one of their better phones so far.
I own now a nokia 8.1.. Puredisplay is great. Camera is brilliant.
I owned a xiaomi phone which broke after just 4 months, just becos it was accidentally dropped at around 2.5 ft.. Screen broke, Poor quality..

This is the last time I'll watch your review about Nokia phones or any other smartphone. Your Nokia reviews are always biased.
In every single review about Nokia's smartphones you just bash them and make the review negative when in reality the phones are good and perform better than you claim.
Also why the fuck do you compare 3500mAh battery to 4000mAh and 4035mAh batteries? No shit the battery doesnt last as long!
Your comment is pretty short sighted and narrow. So many reviews of Nokia phones out there, including this 7.2, conclude that it's a tough sell. Even FCH, Nokia's manufacturing partner, stated that their prices need to come down if they want to penetrate the market more instead of relying on the Nokia brand and nostalgia value, which probably won't last very long.
Regarding the battery, well of course a smaller battery won't last as long as a bigger one, all else being equal, so why didn't Nokia include a bigger battery in there then??

Peter is totally right. They only bring Nokia down while this phone is equal to the iPhone 10 but less pricy and there are so many people praising that phone.
btw when U think it' s not true: I have the Nokia and one of my friends the iPhone 10, mine is like equal in most areas and in some even better. The only thing that is clearly better of the iPhone is the processor.
@@alex.anders I've seen several Nokia 7.2 reviews and I guess the overall takeaway is that it's a bit of a hardsell. Anyone can compare their phones to the iPhone and say it's better in some aspects, but the 7.2 just feels.. not compelling. If it were selling for about $200 maybe I'd give it consideration but where I live it's about $300 and at that price I'm going away.
Got my Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/128GB Global ROM variant for just $210. Just compare that to the 7.2. I get a significantly faster processor, very good build quality, a formidable camera, much bigger battery, etc. I dunno but I really think the 7.2 is a hardsell, just like many have said.

why does this channel ALWAYS SOUND NEGATIVE when reviewing phones? SERIOUSLY, all of you guys that do reviews sound so biased and robotic. A lot of the things said here and other videos seemed so subjective. You guys need to stop sounding like you're reading your lines off of a script.
I was just about to comment the same thing. This guy and this channel ALWAYS sound overly negative and critical of phones that other channels, reviewers and sites rate highly. Really damages their credibility.

I am using Nokia x6 more than a year now. Still performing at its best since day 1. No complaints. Also, I usually playing music than games so the battery is still in good health.

@@bhaskarphatak711 oled or lcd is a personal preference. Watching movies is better on oled but for rest lcd is better as it shows natural colour.

@@mohammedshamil65677 pretty much, yeah, I kinda disagree with the display though. Pretty punchy and pretty for me. Performance is okay.
But the camera.. needs a lot of work. Hopefully these so called "updates" can help improve camera performance.
In my opinion the camera is really good. I have a lot of fun shooting some pictures with it. Here in Germany It costs round 279.99€ at the Moment and i think it is rly cheap. Overall i rly love this phone

I just bought Nokia 7.2. This is really good phone, battery lasts all Day. And pure android, so no any useless apps you can't remove... And yes, HMD global is owner. BUT these nokia's are designed in Finland!! Like The good old nokia phones. I am a finnish and I wanted to try Nokia after a long time, and I am not disappointed.

Hi, i see you have a 7.2. Can you use zoom when your settings is on 48mpx? This question could look ridicoulos but my wife's P30 lite is not able to zoom when the camera settings is on the highest, 48mpx.

You can actually adjust the colour tone on the phone "Setting" and the blue tone can be adjusted ... I'd say that the Nokia phone with Zeiss lenses plus its camera software features r v good value + quality for its price.

I can't even take this review seriously anyway, half of what they said was false, a lot of it was biased and the rest was just moaning for the sake of moaning. If you're gonna review a phone then do it properly
yeah. he is holding the phone, like in the very middle, and says it's too low. well maybe if you hold it as a normal phone in the bottom, then the sensor would be where it should be, and you won't need to use second hand or weird position of your fingers to use the face buttons.

Blatant lie about the battery life. ... I have used nokia 6.1 plus which has 3000mAh battery and samsung a50 which has 4000mAh battery ..... There was not difference in battery back-up....
My Nokia phone took about 3 days to figure out the battery usage pattern and from day onwards it was performing better than those first 3 days.... Big figures doesn't mean better.... Nokia has been a better experience for me .
Believe or not its a great , fast and a beautiful device so much better then lots of Chinese and samsung A series devices . This is nokia Lumia design please stop saying its a Moto Design .

Well i have been using this phone for more that 10 days now, and i disagree with the screen quality it's quite good for its price range and yes i do agree i am also not able to play HDR content but still the panel it's self is quite good and for the rest of the points i do agree with you
he also said the phone takes 12mp shots,i dont understand this if the main cam is 48mp how is it taking 12mp shots.someone educate me here plz
@@anubisnick830 this is called pixel binding, basically it combines 4 pixels into 1 which means it creates a 48 million pixels (mp) image into 12 million pixels (mp) image

Nokia is back!!! After the the demise of my beloved Nokia 1520. I have to say I love my 7.2. Getting used to Android Phone after Windows Phone 10 not so much. Camera's. Zeiss lens. Wow, now that I've installed gcam 7.1. The stock camera software is really good. Gcam takes this to the next level. Can't wait to compare to a Pixel 4 for image quality. Round camera!?!? Like a Motorola!?!? Ummmm, Nokia did that one first. Awesome phone in that you get monthly security/system updates for 3 years and major OS for 2 years. So Android 9 installed. 10 very soon. 11 end of 2020ish. Not getting that out of one of the many phones in this price range. Build quality? Typical Nokia. It is excellent!!! The 7.2 will outlast the so called "better in class" Chinese phones. Don't get hyped up by the "older processer" BS. The SD 660 is optimised for Android One and feels as snappy as higher end processers. With 6gb ram and 128gb of storage that you can add up to an additional 512gb SD.
Facts. I have a 512GB in mine and half of it is used up already. Lol. Great phone...loving it so far. Much better than my Motorola One (P30)
Just the fact you get 128gb and 6gb of RAM for under $400.00 is great especially since GOOGLE wants $700.00 for a the Poke'Pixel 4 with 64gb of storage.

I Like my Nokia 7.2 but I must admit the below have given me a hard time.
1. I have to press enter after entering phone code
2. Startup tone has been forced on me. I have tried to deactivate all possible sound settings but can’t figure out.
3. Creating App folders - I have to manually drag all apps. Was used to adding from within the folder using the + sign.
4. After editing screenshot I don’t see the share shortcut. It only prompts one to SAVE COPY then you have to look for it from the gallery
5. Unable to scrollshot…
6. Unable to Zoon in and Out my text messages by pinching my screen.
7. Unable to copy multiple messages from within the same conversation trail
8. When I forward my text messages it does not indicate ‘forwarded from’
9. Has no Screen Recorder and Voice Recorder. Granted they can be downloaded but I don’t want the trouble of going through hundreds of app store reviews to select which one is safe and works well.
10. Photo Edit does not have paint options - I therefore cannot convert to Pencil, Crayon or Watercolor
All the above are based on my 4 years of using Huawei P9 Lite and I therefore have to take time to get used to the new way of navigating the Nokia 7.2. I am catching up though.
Due to your review, I didn't buy Nokia 7.2 and bought Mi a3.
This was my bad decision.
