Five of the six competitors in The Diamond League Discus Throw Final disputed the Olympic Final in Tokyo, including the Olympic Podium: Gold Medalist Daniel Ståhl (Sweden), Silver Medalist Simon Pettersson, Bronze Medalist Lukas Weißhaidinger (Austria). Also in the Olympic Final were Kristjan Čeh (Slovenia), and Andrius Gudžius (Lithuania).
