I'm not quite sure why youtube led me here this morning, as I know nothing at all about darts - but I did enjoy spending the time listening to you talk about something you're obviously very passionate and knowledgeable about !
As someone who knows nothing about darts, though - I'm assuming there's a point advantage to hitting the red and green rings rather than simply hitting closers to the bullseye? I'd never seen anyone aim for anything other than the center - i assume because darts are mostly used for comedy gags in movies.

The outer rings of the board are worth double the points, so the outer ring of 20 is 40 points and most games played in darts requires you to win only if you hit a double. So if you have ten left and hit double 5 before your opponent finishes you win. As for the inner rings mid way into the board they are called trebles, which means triple the points. So the mid ring in the 20 if hit with the dart is worth 60 points and the red dot (bullseye) in the middle is only worth 50 points. Lots of combinations but in essence most games are 501 points and the first to finish with a double wins the game. So if you see 501 SiDo, means the first dart at the board need not be a double which is the Si (single in) and the Do means you must finish with a double (double out). Darts in a nut shell
