How can we create sound signal of know frequency, for example i have to create a sound signal of 2000hz how to pass it through laptop. Can you tell.It will be great help for me.
hello, I'm Athalla from Indonesia. I want to ask about the circuit you used on the video breadboard. May I ask for a schematic of the circuit and its specifications that you use starting from capacitors, resistors, etc.?😁
Okay, I have a few points to make in order to help you. #1: This particular schematic is only compatible with the Texas Instruments "myDAQ", so unless you have this component, the schematic is not relevant for your situation. #2: you can accomplish the same thing in a much simpler and less expensive way than what is shown in the video. What you need to run the speaker is a small audio amplifier connected to a device (cell phone, tablet, laptop) that can play a 440 Hertz test tone. You can download a 'test tone' app that will let you play any frequency. #3 you will need some sort of oscilloscope connected to the microphone in order to measure the amplitude or "loudness" of the sound in the tube. You can either buy an oscilloscope or make one with a Raspberry Pi or Arduino. #4 If you need further clarification or have more questions, then please ask. I'm more than happy to help.
@@mohamedyehia408 I actually don't know the answer to your question about an absorption coefficient equation. I don't know the equation sorry :(. I hope you figure it out though!
@@mohamedyehia408 did you ever figure out how to calculate the absorption coefficient? I am also working on the same project and would appreciate any help
Sir, we use components pvc tube and caps at both ends, sound level meter, speaker and amplifier, sample specimen and display unit. Using these, can we determine sound absorption coefficient and transmission loss
good morning sir, let me ask you a question, so i'm in a final year student college at indonesia, i have a plan to build an impedance tube for measuring sound absorption of a sample, my questions is : is it possible to make this project using arduino(microcontroller) and sound sensor (that capable with arduino) ? thankyou, great video 🙏
Yes, I think you can. You can use the Arduino to make an oscilloscope to measure the sound level. Additionally, you can use your phone (or computer), a small amplifier, and a speaker to create a test tone.
You can also try using a DIY Oscilloscope kit instead of trying to use an Arduino. Here's a short video on a popular oscilloscope kit. ruclips.net/video/x19kwG-wJRI/видео.html Hope this helps!
Nice video. I am planning to make an impedence tube like this, and use sound level meter to measure the sound amplitude with and without samples.

Type "Online Tone Generator" into Google and select a website that has a tone generator. Then just enter 2000hz and press play.

4. 1/2" drill bit
5. 1/8" drill bit
6. Tin snips
7. Scissors
8. Utility knife
9. Hot glue gun
10. 3" 'C' clamps (2 quantity)

what software should I use in order to get the data from the microphones
You need an oscilloscope or oscilloscope software on a PC or smartphone, to record the amplitude of the sound waves.
KingOfShenanigans what about the equations needed to calculate the absorption coefficient using the impedance tube built in the video?
KingOfShenanigans thank you so much for the help.❤️ you have no i idea how long I’ve been working on this paper

Bro, what cost it will be to fabricate? Because we did project on this
It's hard to say exactly. Are you just looking to make impedance tube itself? Or do you also need to buy an oscilloscope?
@@KingOfShenanigan no we don't use oscilloscope

Reply me sir
@@MIMI-gb3vj yeah just compare the sound level with the specimen inside the tube vs the sound level without the specimen (control)
