The landlord knows, when Cash comes, the plumber has to put a sink sprayer, otherwise Cash isn't happy. The landlord isn't happy. Thanks to Cash he got renters. Since Corona I watch every week. Cash is getting better and better. Love this new apartment.
OH, those bathrooms are gorgeous! (MY son and his wife used to live on Steinway Street. Incidetally, the factory where they make Steinway Pianos is right up the street - they do free tours of the factory, and it's amazing to see how they make expensive pianos.)
Ok - love this one too!!! Nice and neutral in colour palette! I’d split this one with just one roommate and use the balcony room as a media room/den. That way the entire kitchen:/living room can be used just for entertaining.

positives: 1:00 nice area, walkable streets. 1:02 excellent lobby and carpeted hallway keeps foot noise down. Walk in WOW factor! could easily make this apt a showroom quality. SOLD PARKING!!! Agree, the view is amazing! Work from the Roof top! 4:11 you could put a dash cam on the balcony to record activity around your car! having my car is worth the 3500! secured parking is a must to keep insurance cost down. down side? - 6 minute walk to train(for some-not me)

Of course, the middle bedroom with the balcony would be the dining room, the first bedroom you looked at would be the office and the 3rd bedroom, closest to the bathrooms, would be for sleeping. With the roof deck and other amenities, this place is an absolute STEAL! Love it! ❤

Really beautiful and huge apartment for the price! I really love the views, including that church and flowering trees. Laundry, gym (yeah, cement walls make it feel like a basement, but realistically I've been going to clubs that cultivate that look most of my life!LOL), PARKING! This is one of those clips that makes me want to move back from west coast when I retire!
I absolutely love the kitchen as well. There is enough space to set up a dining area & a living room area; outside the kitchen. The bedrooms are fine. Love the view of The City..

Pretty nice. I think it works better as a 2 bdr, with the middle/balcony room as a shared office or entertainment room. The living room wasn't horrible, but the layout was kinda wonky. I'd use it as a dining room with a small seating area for reading or sitting and talking.

Wowza!! Talk about a gorgeous new building, and at such a reasonable monthly rent. Astoria is awesome for restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and lots of terrific places to enjoy!! The Greek food is so delicious in this neighbourhood!! As a coffee lover, there are such fab places!! I love the access to the roof for a huge communal deck. Not sure if BBQ's are allowed but it would be so great to be able to use that! The kitchen is so gorgeous!! I can't believe how reasonable the price is!!
It was worth a day's wait to see this apartment. This would be a nice apartment for a family with one or two children. When the kids are old enough they can go downstairs and watch tv with friends or play. The neighborhood looks great, but I hope there's a park nearby,

I WANT a breadmaker. Our favourite bread is now $4.29 a loaf, used to be $1.99 a couple years ago. I'm planting an even bigger veg garden this year, the price of fresh produce is crazy. ~ 300 seedlings are under the grow lights. You could have a nice container garden on that east facing balcony.
Don't buy a "bread maker. Get a heavy-duty stand mixer, like a Kitchen Aid. It knead bread dough beautifully, and it can do a whole lot of other culinary miracles.
We lived in a condo with a kitchen living room and I got used to having the stove right there where I could hang out on my couch while baking and cooking. Its was actually nice.
I love this area. There is so much in this neighborhood. The new world order starbucks, by the museum of moving images, a cinema when it opens up. Pc richards. Over 40 restaurant. Chase bank is close by a blink fitness center to shed all the food you eat😅 I believe there's also a cvs wings plus, victoria secret, post office is a couple of blocks away as well as a public library. You know it's probably I high price when it's not on the details.
Whoever stocked that bookshelf in the lounge likes John Green - I spotted Paper Towns and The Fault in Our Stars, at least. In terms of space set up, I might be tempted to split the space into kitchen/living by putting a standing entertainment center between them with a skinny table behind as additional workspace for the kitchen. It would make the TV set up more straightforward, but running the cable might be a pain in the butt.
Hi Cash, like to watch your videos. Used to live in Tappan as a kid, and we would come into the city on a regular basis. Of course, that was a million years ago (it's hell getting old), but still remember going up on the Empire State bldg., and the Statue of Liberty. Nothing like it. Also came to visit in the 80's and stayed in a friends' place in Manhatten that was an efficiency that at the time rented for around $600 a month. Time marches on.
Good location and neighborhood, and the building amenities are great. The bedrooms are small, and I think the balcony room would be better used as a living room, office, studio, etc. Even split two ways instead of three the rent would still be reasonable, considering what you get for the money. You don't have to live in the middle of the action when a half-hour train ride will get you there.
Love this. I've place the sofa in the middle though. TV opposite the window so the light doesn't flare on the screen. Then a tiny bar or table behind the sofa! I want this for myself!!
I love the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Living room not so much but with all those awesome amenities I might get over having a small living room. Sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad. ☺️

Honestly I enjoyed living in Brooklyn more than Manhattan. Great building. Great apartment w interesting layout. If I owned it I'd be tempted to convert to a 2 bedroom, but it works really well as a 3.

No it doesn’t. LIC was old underutilized industrial stuff that they could knock down to build luxury high-rises, whereas Astoria is an established neighborhood and includes a lot of long-time residents who actually own property, so they’re not going to instantly be gentrified out like low-income renters in Williamsburg in the early 00s. Also, at least for me, one of the big draws to Astoria was it was a much better value than Manhattan. The pandemic has changed that, so now there are a lot of neighborhoods in Manhattan where the prices are similar; the apartments might just be a little smaller and older. I actually moved from Astoria to lower-Manhattan this year because of that.
The wooden bathrooms and concrete ceilings and corners wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but I would feel a level of annoyance at them. If they had tried to pretty up the concrete than it would be better, but it looks so splotchy and messy for type A person to not get bothered by it. The wood bathrooms major upkeep to not curl and get moldy.
I hate to be a downer, but for $3,800.00 (U.S.), I'm not getting a 'luxury' vibe from this unit... excuse me while I nit-pick... while the kitchen has fine up to date appliances, it is a kitchen 'area' not a separate room, ditto the dining' 'area'... as soon as u open the front door you bump into that really nice fridge on your left...there's no separate living room either, yeah, I know there's 3 bedrooms...the biggest being the one with the balcony... not much closet space... in our crappy apartment the bed-rooms are at the end of a long hall-way, (corner unit), so you don't stumble out of your bed-room immediately into the living area... that's really a little balcony... t.g. for the roof-top terrace.. the laundry room is under-whelming, even in my crappy Seventies apartment building we have 20 washers and 20 dryers and the most hi-tech models, funnily enough... and last, but not least, the kitchen/bath-room configuration... whoever the architect was who thought that it was a good idea to have sight lines from the kitchen to the bath-room should be made to live in one of these dinky units... even better when other people across the way can look directly 'thru your kitchen windows into your bath-room on the other side!

I hate to be a downer, but for $3,800.00 (U.S.), I'm not getting a 'luxury' vibe from this unit... excuse me while I nit-pick... while the kitchen has fine up to date appliances, it is a kitchen 'area' not a separate room, ditto the dining' 'area'... as soon as u open the front door you bump into that really nice fridge on your left...there's no separate living room either, yeah, I know there's 3 bedrooms...the biggest being the one with the balcony... not much closet space... in our crappy apartment the bed-rooms are at the end of a long hall-way, (corner unit), so you don't stumble out of your bed-room immediately into the living area... that's really a little balcony... t.g. for the roof-top terrace.. the laundry room is under-whelming, even in my crappy Seventies apartment building we have 20 washers and 20 dryers and the most hi-tech models, funnily enough... and last, but not least, the kitchen/bath-room configuration... whoever the architect was who thought that it was a good idea to have sight lines from the kitchen to the bath-room should be made to live in one of these dinky units... even better when other people across the way can look directly 'thru your kitchen windows into your bath-room on the other side!

All these apartments have the kitchen, dining room and living room all-in-one, I guess, unlike the old days when they were separate rooms this way they can reduce square footage.
