i swichted from holy paladin to mistweaver monk 2 weeks ago. it's a completely different game you play suddenly. your abilities actually feel like they move the hp bars of your group. no panic moments while waiting for your next cd. your cooldowns are great. mobility and utility are great. pretty neat :)
I did the same but switched to disc priest. It took my awhile to get used being squishy but once I learn to always have my short cd damage reduction on me everything clicked. The amount of burst and utility disc has is amazing and being range is the icing on the cake.
I mained MW this season 1 first time healing I’ve tanked since BFA! I have been playing disc and it’s great but timing is everything and can be rough in pugs!
@ i also thought about playing disc :D but i always end up with holy when playing priest... and i heard often that disc can be really stressful with pugs^^
Great info! Really appreciate knowing how healers are turning out. Was really hoping hpriest would be in shape to play, but I've already levelled a mistweaver for this season, and it's great that it's even better for next season. Super excited!
I been praying and hoping so badly for RDruid to come back and be good again since I have main Druid for many many years and have always loved the healing style of it but man it just feels soooooooooo bad like the heals do nothing to the health bars. I been playing Rdruid in cata and the difference is so huge it makes me sad that cata Rdruid feels 100x better than retail.
I am so bad as melee healer. When I panic, I really cant react in a right way, I dont feel comfortable have to hit boss. I will play as always my dear dudu. But I feel less enjoyable do mythic plus than before: too much anxiety. I am doing them only for improve my gear for raid. I remember that I enjoyed them more in Legion and during Shadowland. Dragpnflight had some dungeon where I was feeling more relaxed (Vortex Pinnacle) and some where I was always close to die for dtstracrion (Ruby Life Pool). Probabilly, I am becoming too old and I would love to chill out more. I started to play this game as lock, but, 2 years after, discover the dudu playstyle made me love the game, and I started emjoy it more even while doing some trasmpg.
Switched from Rdruid to Pres Evoker and never going back. Rdruid hots tickle health bars and preservation’s spells all hit hard and are impactful, + they leave dots as well.
I tried R Druid and it feels like doing a whole lot of nothing. You have so much to maintain and you get nothing in return. With echo and reversion on Pres you can watch health bars bounce back up. It's super satisfying.
I switched from disc to rdruid about 6 weeks ago and playing it for the first time. I’m having an absolute blast on it. It’s so much fun to play. Did it as a challenge since I don’t find the current iteration of disc is fun even if it’s crazy strong.
I've comained both this season and prefer rdruid. Not sure where everyone is coming from with hots not hitting. Rdruid handles st healing better than pres where pres has that really powerful burst, but feels kinda useless in between those burst windows and outside of chrono flame procs. Rdruid feels way more impactful. I can hot up someone taking a huge dot (or multiple people taking huge dots- looking at dawnbreaker) and they are fine while I go back to dpsing. Whereas, nothing feels good about those situations on a pres evoker. But, going back to Dawnbreaker, the 4th and 6th orb into shadow decay overlap on the second boss really benefits from pres evokers burst windows. I've only done 10-12's on both, so maybe I'm missing something. But druid feels really good
@@madprideprof I didn’t play pres at all and only rdruid up to 14 so far (including Dawn). Thing about rdruid is that I feel I can heal anything at any time, as long as I’m prepared. Among the greatest fun I’ve had healing, and I’ve been healing since vanilla.
Before the video even starts I know it’s Disc and MW. They’re the only two getting positive changes, and the only two every content creator talks about. The complete lack of tuning and changes for the other five healers this PTR and their sorry state is completely discouraging going into 11.1 M+, sorry to say.
@ no kidding, hpal was my first healer ever and the only healer I did legion mage tower on. I would love to main it again. Disc and MW right now seem basically mandatory though so I’m kind of forced to roll one of them to keep up with the times, and it sucks.
@@Windgrace That's 1000% not true, Rshams were meta kings this entire season and i still mained my MW. If you're a good healer, you'll make it work. Do not be a slave to the meta, play what you're good at.
But Rshaman also got not real nerfs really. if you arent going for +15 or so, youll be fine. And RShaman still has a ton more utility than both MW and Disci. MW will not be that great going into higher keys. You lack any kind of external (besides Cocoon) and have no group wide DR or anything really besidey dispell through Revive. MW will be the same as Rshaman in S1, being Meta up to the point were you need Barrier, Painsub and PreShielding to survive one-shots.
I’m also praying that they don’t nerf both Mistweaver and Discipline in an effort to “buff” the rest of the Healers, and I’m not just saying because Mistweaver has been BY FAR the most fun and my favorite Healer since MoP (minus Legion).
Same, Shaman is my class. But it's so frustrating when I try alts like MW monk.. They do twice the healing, 5 times the damage, and play like they could literally forget they even have a mana bar. The difference is STAGGERING. Resto Shamans need a massive update on how they do damage if Blizzard is adamant on keeping healing harder, because most of our damage is hard casted and we simply don't have the time to hard cast chain lightning as much as before. For all the updates to Enhance and Ele.. Resto feels so left behind :(
@@Sombrero_707 yeah, but mw has to do stuff to heal and do dmg. do not have the luxury of passive healing doing everything lol and also resto sham was meta for the first 2months and still has the most powerful healer cds. no reason to cry as rsham
I haven’t paid any attention to if any of the relevant “shaman nerfs” affect Farseer. But that’s usually what I played season 1 and it felt much better to me than totemic
@@Sombrero_707I think resto shaman is doing quite alright damage considering most of the damage is done passively with surging totem. There's also a talent, that I don't remember the full name of, that buffs your healing surge by 30% (stacks up to 2 times) by you casting lava burst. With the buff up your next healing surge will cast flame shock on 2 nearby enemy targets. You also have your healing tide totem which sends out a chain heal when cast and then do a decent amount of ticking healing for the rest of it's uptime. Which let's you do some damage without needing to cast any heals. I can pull of close to 1m dps in AOE with ease most of the time, this depends on how much damage your group takes ofc. In a single target fight I usually do at least 350-500k dps, sometimes more depending on the boss fight and group you're playing with. It's not any super high numbers but since the damage comes from us just doing what we need to do in order to get the most amount of healing out, it's quite alright in my opinion.
@@Sombrero_707 The difference is you can just hang back on Rsham, kick some heals out and it's much more chill. MW you're in mechanics the entire time, you have to stay in melee to really get going. MW doesn't get to sit back and just heal like some, it's much more demanding healing job.
Due to my studies Im not able to raid on a mythic level so Im more of a heroic raider and m+. Years of exp as a prot warrior and dps warrior but with the gap now I have picked up my evoker and I am having a fun time as Preservation. So I get the best of everything, tank and melee on warrior and ranged/healer on evoker. Im still quite new on the evoker and Im getting my muscle memory in but so far on lower content Im doing okay. As I get better I hope to get up there with the warrior.
Actually, having Manasurge build into Healing Surge via Talent now is kinda fine for the most parts. And as a farseer, you only had to drink like once every dungeon or so.
Oh, it's for sure going to be another Disc-Priest tier for me. That being said, it's not solely because it's (as it looks atm) because it's probably going to be meta, but it's so freaking fun to play as well. Being a healer main in old school WoW -> switching to ranged DPS main -> and now back to healer since WW, I have a hard time dealing with being in melee so I'll just stick to what I know. I'll probably make sure to gear up my druid as alternate healer for the season.
Lo mejor que hizo blizzard fue despedir al dev de los monjes anterior y contratar al actual, se nota que le gusta la clase y la está dejando increíblemente bien. 👍🏻 Solo falta que le dedique algo de tiempo al brewmaster.
When certain classes start feeling really good blizzard tends to drown that class instead of throwing a lifeline to other classes and bring them up as well.
Im crying in holy pala. I loved the concept of the two hero talents we have available since tww, all we needed was abit of a numbers change. Making random hitting abilities less reliable and pushing the ones you do control was ok I guess. it’s nice to be able to control but we still feel somehow weak? I fondly remember pressing ac in bfa and feeling like a gd ANGEL , hps and dps spikes, big numbers, it felt powerful! Planning pulls around wings and our outlaw in shrine:) now i feel like if i dont wings im just hitting with a noodle, and wings is barely enough to survive overlaps in ac. The 2 minute cd of normal wings, without which you feel completely useless, is not comfortable in a m+ environment where mandatory dmg is already high enough to wipe the party+ its occuring on way shorter windows.. i dont understand how having a long cast big single target heal is going to help any of our issues😂 its not even spammable! At least, as you suggested, if the infusion would reduce its cast time drastically, it could be usefull(still very panicky) but thats not what we’re getting.. its not even a real gameplay! With glimmer you had smth to manage outside of wings that would impact your damage and hps meter if done propperly, now its just: wings you survive, no wings: pray your dps have time to use a defensive cd in their rotation😂
I personally actually never liked rapture. It always felt somewhat disruptive especially in raid. Having 2 different ramps, one with rapture one without. Now you just ramp one way. (granted last time i played disc was mythic smolderon, so I am not the most up to date) =D but the new disc looks super exciting. Thank you for your summary, I might dust off my priest.
Im main preservation since df season one. Rly hard to push 3.1 rio and im top 60world with this bad score. Nobody want to play preservation cuz aug and range isssue.. too many love for this spe but need some change.. i think im rerolling rdruid s2 looking good on ptr and funny :) Thx for video
Yes I love the spec but it takes one person not standing near me for it to completely ruin my positioning trying to help them and just feels bad in pugging. I’m forced to aug in pugs and can only play pres with a full group :/
I think the only thing that should have limited range for Pres is the breaths. things like Living Flame, Echo, and Reversion should be 40 yards. Doesn't change the need for positional gameplay, but seriously fixes the range issue being too punishing.
Any comments on Oracle vs. Voidwesver Disc? I'm seeing a lot of hype for Oracle but curious how the tuning is. It feels more flexible and like your rotation isn't as locked in, and the minor rework also allowed for Rapture to be baked into Premonition (if you want to use the cooldown reduction on PWS back to back).
Let's pray for HPAL, because it's crap in DG and Raid right now. They nerfed HPAL so much after the DF rework that the class is a huge piece of crap. To understand the state that HPAL is in, just observe that even after several buffs it's still crap. There may come a 50% healing aura buff that will still be behind the healing profiles of DG and Raid. And there goes a good DF rework and now in TWW HPAL cries for another rework to be playable again.
I've been playing Oracle. Definitely switching to that in S2. I prefer having 3-4 back to back Penance, shorter CD on Radiance, instant Radiance, not having to rely on Mindblast, having a massively better feather, longer Atonements, better PS, everything about it is what I actually need. Also you can do back to back PW:S, so it's still a bit of Rapture in there, just not as strong. Oracle feels way more mobile and tanky to me because of instant radiance, back to back Pen or back to back shields and Prophet's Will. With Shield build PW:S on myself covers almost my entire health bar, it's gonna be crazier in S2.
you said it all wothin the first 2 minutes Mad, i hope blozzard listen to you, ps- i ll be playing shaman no matter what cause i like the spec and the totems
yeah I am playing a shaman as well. Everyone in my guild is asking me to switch, but I do well enough as a shaman to be competitive even while being underpowered.
I don't have an issue with healer checks as long as i am provided with the tools to deal with them appropriately, what i have an issue with, is the unsolvable issue of M+ players' skill, i can only correct up to a number of mistakes my CDs and stats + gear level allow me to, after that you are on your own until mine's back, which means that in the meantime, if you die it's likely your fault as i am not allowed, and rightfully so, to overcorrect for either lack of skills and/or mistakes, no matter if you are a tank or a DPS. A few mistakes here and there are allowed to be corrected by most of the M+ community needs a serious wake-up call IF they wanna improve, otherwise don't step into M+ no matter the changes Blizzard makes, because past a certain key level you either ride or die.
What if they add an option to UP but instead of penances it would hit everyone with lots of shields? It would kinda be an "Ultimate Rapture" and would be nice when huge continued damage would be expected
Hey Madskillzz, i want to ask how you deal with Cinderbrew Meadery first boss intermission as disc priest? Feels struggling to deal with especially on high keys
There will certainly be number changes in either directions coming in the next weeks. Still on the fence of going with Shaman again first, like in S1. Farseer should be even better this Season. That said, Playing MW was a blast in the last 2 month. But Resto is kinda more chill vibes, with strong CDs that dont rely on you being Melee and looking at the Dungeons, being Melee seems like a fucking Nightmare in some Dungeons.
It seems like they're being very cautious about improving Prayer of Healing... but I think that's the fault of Archon Halo, which the vast majority of Holy Priests currently play. They could put more power in Oracle's Prayer of Healing (rather than, or in addition to Twinsight).
This video made me realise why so many people hate healing. You can literally learn a fun spec only for it to be nerfed so hard it's struggling while other character dev teams actually improve their spec not just change the rotation every patch 😒
These meta lists are frustrating because like... play Disc in a key where no one is interrupting and you can't even prio kick on your own and report back how fun it is.
I'm interested in Pres Evoker, played Disc priest this season. Just worried about Pres Evoker competing with AUG for a slot in Dungeons. Don't want to play the worst healer or one no one wants because of AUG being better
I mean, in raid atleast I would assume disc is stronger burst when they have ramped. Mistweaver pumps alot tho with 3 different aoe cooldowns and procs like zen pulse and gust of mist. Cleared mythic this tier with MW and I loved it
@@orniallt3380 Also what people don't realize is healing MW plays and is 100% different from m+...like night and day difference. 2 totally different specs
I cant decide which healer I wanna main in season 2. I hope both will be viable, so I can Main Disc and twink monk. But I know blizzard are bad at tuning and I have the fear they will nerf disc and monk instead of buffing the other heal classes. I pray they dont nerf disc and monk to hard.
I know it’s not mad’s fault, but I am actually starting to get annoyed by the disc/mw or bust for season 2. Blizz is majorly dropping the ball on fixing the other healers for 11.1.
Bliz trying their best to make PoH work for HPriests? What are they going to nerf to make PoH work??? Lol, just delete PoH from the game! It's so bad! Delete Renew too. Bring back CoH with a massive buff. Dispersing light should have 25% (not 5%) healing replicated to 4 ppl. We should be able to slowly move while channeling Divine Hymn. Move Answered Prayers on the tree. Why do HPriest get nerfed when they are already so bad?! Make it make sense, please!
It's hilarious to watch all these flavor of the month rerollers switching to MW when it's one of the higher skilled capped healers because we're in melee mechanics the entire time so there's no sitting back and just chilling healing, you're in the fire the entire time having to heal. Just warning yall now, you have to do all the mechs including healing dumb ass DPS. It's literally double the work compared to the other guys not named Hpal and maybe even pres
MistWeaver is a lot of fun, an incredibly complex healer, but also extremely difficult. Compared to others, much more knowledge and know-how is needed. So definitely not casual friendly.
Complex??! Basically its just jadefirestomp and spinning crane kick when +4 targets And then for melee 3 targets and below its just jadefire stomp and 2x tiger palm and 1 blackout kick And then you have you cc and shield And for burst healing you use chi-ji and instant applies enveloping mist And then you use your instant cast Vividy now and then You don’t have to mana manage You can use mana tea offensively if you’re Master of harmony They are the most easiest healer imo
They aren't super easy as disc exist spamming 4 buttons, but not really that complex like pres either they just have a lot of cooldowns. Only thing about mistweaver is that playing mele healers is just garbage as blizzard is constantly adding anti-mele mechanics and you are constantly getting fucked for being forced out of mele like second boss in cot. And blizzard is reluctant on making mele healers required to be glued to the boss so they do healing like hpala with ac or mw with chi-ji and rsk, unlike back in legion where you just had to stay in mele to do damage.

I've been thinking of trying Disc Oracle, but do you get value from Piety? I assume you would radiance, penance yourself then spam flash heal?
Hi, how would you rate diffuculty of playing disc priest in S2 against S1? 1-10
Going to do healer difficulty ranking video very soon!
you said it all wothin the first 2 minutes Mad, i hope blozzard listen to you,
ps- i ll be playing shaman no matter what cause i like the spec and the totems
I feel the same way. MW on paper seems like the better pick, but I'm not a fan of melee healing.
yeah I am playing a shaman as well. Everyone in my guild is asking me to switch, but I do well enough as a shaman to be competitive even while being underpowered.
Dont listen them. We killed Ovinax mythic with 2 dudu resto and one shaman. If you play what you love, you will play better anyway! @@zachellis1902
Resto shammy is still the king of pug healing. No one can convince me otherwise.
resto druid main going into s2 with a mw monk alt
They could put more power in Oracle's Prayer of Healing (rather than, or in addition to Twinsight).
greetings, may i ask what is the addon for that tiny and rounded combat text numbers around the target model?
"Nameplate Scrolling Combat Text" addon :)
How’s the burst AoE heal of MW vs Disc?
I mean, in raid atleast I would assume disc is stronger burst when they have ramped. Mistweaver pumps alot tho with 3 different aoe cooldowns and procs like zen pulse and gust of mist. Cleared mythic this tier with MW and I loved it
@@orniallt3380 Also what people don't realize is healing MW plays and is 100% different from m+...like night and day difference. 2 totally different specs
@@sy-ky_buddy4603 ye, luckily i love both. I like disc aswell, but only in m+
Sticking to Holy Paladin. If it sucks this will be the MM Hunter season for me
I was a fool to have hopes for holy priest ! that spec is dead ! perma dead !
F-ing Blizz decided, that holy = raid and diszi = m+.
As a day one holy m+ player, I'm so pi...ed about it. I always prefered m+ over raid...
Just play holy priest? They can do more than 90% of the same keys as disc. Are you pushing world first keys?
thanks for the input on healers i might try mistweaver next season, does anybody know when season 1 will end?
Within the month I imagine maybe 5 weeks
Another video about mw and disc.
I know it’s not mad’s fault, but I am actually starting to get annoyed by the disc/mw or bust for season 2. Blizz is majorly dropping the ball on fixing the other healers for 11.1.
@Windgrace yes! I love mad content
I want to stay r sham. But was think mw or r druid. Doing 10-12 keys and raid.
Harsh Discipline being tied to radiance makes the spec feel like shit. The old harsh discipline was way more fun.
You're doing such a good job. Blizzard should not only watch your videos, they should pay you for this great informations
Blizz seems to only listen to nerfs
as usual, I'll stick to my resto druid :)
i main mistweaver but god are they making holy pally just unplayable. sad, wanted another melee healer alt
I will play my shitty shaman like previous seasons
resto shaman💀
Bliz trying their best to make PoH work for HPriests? What are they going to nerf to make PoH work??? Lol, just delete PoH from the game! It's so bad! Delete Renew too. Bring back CoH with a massive buff. Dispersing light should have 25% (not 5%) healing replicated to 4 ppl. We should be able to slowly move while channeling Divine Hymn. Move Answered Prayers on the tree. Why do HPriest get nerfed when they are already so bad?! Make it make sense, please!
Holy priest feels fine for me, idk love it for a long time and on ptr it was good
hoping for nerfs disc and monk
hpally still is somewhat barely playable and some stubborn fools still will play it. Nerf time.
Yay healers still having the WORST JOB IN ALL OF WOW... so thrilling and "fun" Healer = pass/fail GL!
big copium... game and healing still trash, blizz learnt jack shit from DF, it's like they took the worst of DF and cranked it up to 11
It's hilarious to watch all these flavor of the month rerollers switching to MW when it's one of the higher skilled capped healers because we're in melee mechanics the entire time so there's no sitting back and just chilling healing, you're in the fire the entire time having to heal.
Complex??!
Basically its just jadefirestomp and spinning crane kick when +4 targets
And then for melee 3 targets and below its just jadefire stomp and 2x tiger palm and 1 blackout kick
And then you have you cc and shield
And for burst healing you use chi-ji and instant applies enveloping mist
And then you use your instant cast Vividy now and then
You don’t have to mana manage
You can use mana tea offensively if you’re Master of harmony
They are the most easiest healer imo
You are a spaz aren’t you
Try resto Druid, pres Evoker or disc priest if you think that’s hard 😂
They aren't super easy as disc exist spamming 4 buttons, but not really that complex like pres either they just have a lot of cooldowns. Only thing about mistweaver is that playing mele healers is just garbage as blizzard is constantly adding anti-mele mechanics and you are constantly getting fucked for being forced out of mele like second boss in cot.
And blizzard is reluctant on making mele healers required to be glued to the boss so they do healing like hpala with ac or mw with chi-ji and rsk, unlike back in legion where you just had to stay in mele to do damage.
what you on about mate lolz
