I think it would be cool if there are friendly dynamic interactions. Like if you're injured then a friendly npc (typically a medical npc) could give you a health kit or revive you if you died, or they could give you ammo and you can choose how they do it, they could give you ammo specific to your gun or weapon, an ammo type you selected, or it could randomly generate any ammo for you. Plus there could be a mod that could give npc's more unique interactions

Just in case, for the animation it does depend on the weapon, BUT it also depends on the distance between both enemies, so yeah
The hunter animations are BRUTAL and I love them
the voritgaunt animations are actually badass
