Saint Paul de Vence - A Medieval French Village Full of Charm / Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur 4K UHD

- The fortified village of St Paul de Vence is microscopic.
It only takes a few minutes to cross the village from side to side but you can spend a few hours there discovering the fantastic views of the ramparts, the architecture of the houses, the squares, the amazing art galleries and the few museums.
This charming village perched between the Col de Vence and the Mediterranean offers magnificent panoramas to its visitors. On the sea side, the unobstructed view extends to the Cap d'Antibes: a painting that inspired more than one painter charmed by these Provençal colors. Modigliani, Matisse, Soutine or even Utrillo were seduced by the light of this medieval city and placed these impregnable viewpoints on their easels. At the entrance to the village, in the shade of tall plane trees, the famous boules square, immortalized by the petanque games of Lino Ventura and Yves Montand, remains a must.

Maravilhosa vila St Paul de Vence. Um poema. A bela igreja, parece estar um pouco abandonada.... mas contém obras belíssimas. A vista que se vê ao derredor é deslumbrante. sixty four Fahrenheit is my kind of temperature. Not too cold and not too hot. Such a temperate climate is a good reminder of how not to get too hypnotised. Great preservation deserves our attention not to mention the odd glass of red at meal times. 🥳
I can only imagine how much conflict and disease must have been through these streets to get it to this present state of perfection.

That era was very decorative abd you can see it everywhere especially in artistic iron works. Was popular then and is still somewhat requested. I tried to imagine the village on wet days the reason they made many sloping pathways to help rain flow off .. and imagined how dim those tight pathways must’ve looked swallowed by night shades yet appeared romantic and utterly serene with streaks of soft lights faded down along the corners and cool nightly breezes gently blowing in. 😌 Had to put up with your breathing though! 😂 Sorry.. couldn’t help it! Is the village located up on a mountain? Not much birds out there. I didn’t hear a single coo of a pigeon and just a few sparrows!! Thankfully no crows. Serene.. very very serene. Can someone live in thereor is it a touring site?

This video like many on RUclips could be much better if the person doing the video would stop and let us look at the store front window displays. There is common sense in doing videos. Rather, this video goes through some boring alleys and the person stops near a toilet. Are you prohibited from video recording of shop fronts? You have a fantastic camera.
I don't think it's forbidden to film the front Windows displays, but when I filmed the spectators asked me to see landscapes, anyway I would film all the time it's not good. Even if you think it's easy to make a video clip, I'll give you some advice, try putting the phone on the rec for 10 minutes and film something, and maybe you'll realize how it is. Thank you
Agree valid points.... However its a beautiful place and I enjoyed watching .If you walked slower and showed the windows of the shops be perfect as you travel through these quaint cobbled streets people like to view shop windows 🪟.
@@TouristChannell I do know how to record. I think your camera is excellent and you do a good job filming. I would like for you to film both streets, landscapes and let your viewers look at the window displays also. People also like to sightsee and do window shopping at the same time. When you make another video, try showing the window displays too.
