The discus tank really looks spectacular, and I totally agree that they're attentive pets. Looking forward to all the upcoming changes, thanks for documenting your hobby and sharing!!
Yeah you would think they would be secure now, but I have seen the Cichlids move some pretty big rocks and pieces of wood. I some times wonder if when I am not around they team up or something to tear up my aquascape. lol :-P
Hello my friend, I think that the plants in the pot, well really resolve yr problemas, but if I was you, I would make them sing a contract, that they could not pull out the plants anymore, all the rest, a lot of things still to be happening in most of yr tanks, very cool, sure that it we'll have good results.
Hey Eues! Lol, you know how Cichlids are...they never listen...always a mind of their own. The funny thing is that although it took 5 attempts...I "think" I have finally found a placement they can live with. :-P
DUDE..... your tanks are amazing!!! Absolutely phenomenal scapes! You have way to much free time on your hands!!! LoL. TELL ME YOU WATCHED MY LAST VIDEO.....A NEW KING IS CROWNED IN OHIO....30 FOOTER!!!!
I did watch it and it is an insane (good way) tank, but unless I missed it you didn't cover one thing....how the heck did he get it in his house? lol :-)
@@TheirWorldAquatics Ah, I was thinking it would be something like that. It confused me in the video where he said he would sell the tank...was thinking how the heck would he move it if someone did want to buy it. ;-)
Yeah that definitely works..done a lot of gluing of corals over the years. Well hopefully big plant baskets and a fortification of rocks will get the job done...but never know if the Cichlids are determined enough what they can do lol :-P
Love your tanks! I've got a 5ft cichlid tank that's covered in peace lillies! Just added a monstera to try that! I've got uaru and silver dollars so no chance of plants in the tank but I'd be interested to see long term how yours works out with terrestrial and aquatic plants, if they get out competed or both thrive
Thanks Tom! Hehe...Uaru and Silver Dollars...the murderers row of plant killing fish :-) I did different combinations of plants on the tanks just for that reason to get some idea of how well each combo works. I will provide updates each month and see how the tanks react and how the plants do.
mate, great upload. Love the asian jungle set up, you have me thinking of buenes aires tetras and those dwarf gourami. in the 265 marine, consider a few anenome.
A big dog face maybe even golden dog face and or a big porcupine puffer into 265 that's a fun interactive fish species.. maybe pair them up with a pair big green moray eels... And if I had your setup man I would get a hold of Rod at predatory fins and get two or three of the giant trevally that would put some cool movement in that tank up in the mid to top region. They're a predator they belong there LOL
Hey Ian! I don't know about a Giant Trevally, those things get huge and just looking at their finnage that is an open water speed swimmer...Predator Bay would be like a prison cell for a fish like that. Honestly with the 265 I really have no idea which way I want to go...other than I want it to be unique amongst my salt tanks. It is fun to have a blank canvas again though to put something new together! :-)
A little bit of effort will take these tanks so much further visually. Take some 1/4" plywood and wrap these tanks and paint it all. Those frayed boards make your setup look super novice. Otherwise a great setup
I do plan to build nice facades for all the tanks eventually :-) and I agree with you though that it does detract a lot from the look without a proper facade. It is on the list though :-)
I like Pictus Catfish a lot, I would say that they are probably the most likely choice. Look good, active swimmers and grow to the right size...pretty much exactly what I am looking for. :-)

Hey Brad! Yeah I am really enjoying the Discus tank a lot...more than I even thought I would. :-)
Those swords better hold lol. Looking great all over, AD. Keep up the great work.

Discus are looking great.
Thanks Chris!
Thank you for the video. Amazing as always.
Thanks Hotshot! :-)

@@AquariumDomain. great move. 👍👍
Your tanks are always inspiring! I can't wait to see how your vegi-filters work out.
Thanks Todd! I will update on the veggie filters each month and track their progress for everyone.

@@AquariumDomain. awesome!!! The tank showed up first, landed on the concrete pad and then house built around it.

The 750 is the best example and exactly what a perfect comunity fish tank is but it is missing the treasure diver and the glorious bubbles
The treasure diver has to come last...the cherry on top lol :-) The tank is just not quite ready for it yet :-P
A coral reef in the 265 would be amazing
Coral reef is probably the leading contender at this point...definitely set it apart from my other salt tanks. :-)
Use superglue gel and attach the sword to a rock. I use this method with my tanganyika cichlids and have had huge success.

Those severums will never allow those plants to live peacefully with them lol
Hehe... they have been trying to get rid of them, but they have their work cut out for them now with all the new fortifications in place LOL :-P

yoooo looks great…where did you get the rummy nose from?
Hey Brent! The newly added Rummy nose and Neon Tetra are from the WetSpot. Which is also where the original groups were from.
Nice, Thanks!

How can I make a bog sump filter?
You can check out my videos on the Step-by-Step diy build and the 4500 gallon Xingu River build, I did bog filters in both of those.
3 lion fish for the 260
That tank is going freshwater, but there is 2 new bigger marine systems coming online soon! 😊
