You boys are just so not used to wonderful powder snow! It’s cool to see you enjoying it so much. We have over 80 inches of snow in the city of Anchorage, maybe double that in the mountains. Great video!
I remember when you did a test run on that Yamaha. Only did like 70 miles an hour or something. Which told me it wasn’t running right then. They normally govern out at about 103 to 105 miles an hour. They are crazy fast. 2003s are even faster. They changed a gearing after 2003.
Give her a good carb clean some new spark plugs and new clutch springs and she will run tip top again.
my 2003 rx1 does 135 and its stock so idk abt that governed out thing

We rode Ludlow this weekend and trails with low snow thanks to a storm Thursday/Friday saved us a little. Only did 40 miles but better than 0

That Polaris is a beast. We usually don’t get huge snow dumps but this year we did in western Pa.
I have an 05 RX-1. It’s pretty common for the ignition coils to go bad on them. If you pull the boot up and run it in the dark, you’ll see a lot of arcing when they’re bad. You can buy ignition coils on eBay advertised for an R1, Fz1 or fz8 street bike. Same coil, way less expensive. I actually robbed mine off my FZ8 days before a snowmobile trip when I realized mine were almost all arcing.
I ran out of Rangley and around Moosehead lake for 5 days years ago. Can't wait to see the footage.
I remember when the rx1 came out damn things were burnt on the side of the trail all over north america 😆
If that rx1 was running right it would be so snappy it wouldn’t feel Heavy when you carve

@@paulcondie2520 i got rid of my sled 10 years ago. We used to get a couple months of good season. All the rivers would freeze and we would have 4 or 5 feet of snow. Now were lucky to see 2 feet and if it stays a couple weeks its amazing. This year was the best in years thou. We had prob 3 feet then a couple weeks ago we got a warm day and 80 percent of it was gone it was 70f like wtf

sync the carbs, you need a special tool that hooks up to all the carbs. A mercury carb sync gage that accepts 4 cylinders.
I also replaced the clutch springs on mine so it’s very fast

Try synchronizing the carbs and replace the needles and seats in the carbs mine Rx1 runs perfect on all four cylinders and I also have racing plugs put in and also the rx1s burn a little bit of oil which Yamaha had a problem with the oil rings carboning up from the time they were new
100% not computer related and 100% losing spark on one hole. Check plugs, check the plug boot, test the coils. If it were fuel related it wouldn't be instant on/off, it would cough and sputter as the second hole is coming on/off.

Man I am so jealous we get snow then warms up melts rains the snow again I think I have had enough snow to ride only once this year but I have taking the sleds out a few times but gd snow just enough to say I rode it sucks this year

We have well over 7 feet of snow in northern Manitoba Canada. And no signs of it melting. Not anytime soon.

Jeremy if you see this I’ve been a fan for five years now I’m pretty sure but can you try getting a Yamaha Vmax 600 1995 the really good sleds maybe you can get one for Mike to ride on because those things are so much fun and they go so fast I’m 11 and I go 60 on one Or you can get a 2011 Scaduto things are also really good and they’re long tracks because I rode my brothers and those things are so much fun that it’s insane and I went like 80 on that And I live in Canada so we have like a foot or two of snow here so yeah Canada Orillia that’s where I live

I just traded my assault for a 2021 leftover skidoo 850. You think that assault is nice. Throw that leg over a new skidoo. No comparison. I love the can but here in upstate new york, the guys would track you down and take it off your sled. Load pipes is how we lose trails
And I traded assault because it Crack in half. It was a 2017 800
