Marlo is trifling. She’s almost 50 years old. Her childhood trauma doesn’t give her the right to be vile to other people. What I don’t understand is how Sanya can sit there and nail Drew to the cross for an incident w/ Sheree but Marlo’s behavior is utter garbage and she’s so accepting of it.

I think that she bit off more than she could chew taking the boys in. Mentally, she needed to gather herself. Teenage boys as a single woman, who's not even their biological parent is extremely hard. Marlo doesn't have the family support that a lot of the other ladies have. There's no non-custodial father to send them to. She's took them in as a mother but still walking in the shoes of an aunt. She's going to have to develop structure, discipline (that she can stick to) and a strong line of communication. Even then it will still be hard.

Children are emotionally and mentality damaged/scarred not just from having parents that live troubled lives that include crime, abuse to the kids or the parent is unable to take care of them, etc but their are other major negative events that happens in a child's life that adversely affect them either immediately or in adulthood that the child is not even aware of until something triggers those memories to surface and result in some form of negative behavioral, emotional, and mental change. It'd be one thing if she was selfish and just blew it on character building travel, college degrees. But she blows her money on materialism and trying to "out do" other women. Like she sold her soul for money and now she thinks she's above others by dressing up a polished turd.
I just get a fraudulent vibe from her, that there's nothing sincere, deep or genuine about her.
Whereas Kenya seems hurt, but deep down she's a sweet fun girl, but has struggled to make sincere friendships because she's so stunning and thus has put up a wall.. but there's something deeper about Kenya, that Marlo just lacks.

My reply is not a blame game but a fact of the potential reality of more harm being done to Marlo's nephews. Children are emotionally and mentality damaged/scarred not just from having parents that live troubled lives that include crime, abuse to the kids or the parent is unable to take care of them, etc but their are other major negative events that happens in a child's life that adversely affect them either immediately or in adulthood that the child is not even aware of until something triggers those memories to surface and result in some form of negative behavioral, emotional, and mental change. Look at Marlo, being on this show brings up her past and what she went through even when she's not talking about it...just look at some of her behavior [verbal & nonverbal]. Children who have good loving parents that divorce can negatively be affected/harmed cause their parents divorced.

Marlo is entertaining and sometimes I like her - but I can see why Kenya is upset after what Marlo said about Kenya’s relationship with her mom a few seasons ago - if she wants empathy for what she went through then she has to give it with other peoples situations- and what she said about kandi and her past relationships was mean - so I can see why some of the ladies aren’t receiving her the way she would like
Kenya wasn’t here for the fake self victimization. Kenya has a similar story in-terms of abandonment, and she for the most part doesn’t go below the belt with her jabs. She is crazy, messy, and a gaslighter. However, she still has fun and humor with her jabs. Marlo’s insults are just mean and hurtful.
