I come from a generation, a culture and a religious background where others are first and should be first always, even when it does not feel so good, in fact, specially when it doesnt feel good to you because I was taught that it was serving, and that it was a good thing for me to change my present well being for my future well being in heaven🥴🙄...so for me thinking about putting myself first is so mindblowing and such a big revelation that I almost laugh about the way I used to think and live😅.

I literally had an epiphany moment with a coaching client about this and wrote a post on it just yesterday and this is the FIRST thing I listened to this am AND it’s the first time I’ve ever heard of this person!!! has anyone genuinely ever tried this for atleast a week? whT happened? i practice it for atleast a couple hours a day and my results come usually in 3-4 months

Is it weird that I always used to say I’m God’s special kid growing up and that whatever I ask God gives me!
That's not weird at all. All my life, even from childhood, I've known and felt and said (to myself, mostly) that I'm looked after. It's true, too. Everything works out for me. I don't even CARE if I completely understand it... whether it's my Inner Being, Source, my Emissaries, God, "All That Is" or WHAT you call whom I'm looked after BY. I know that I'm looked after, and that's enough. And, whatever you call any part of the Non-physical life doesn't matter to them. ANYONE who expects perfection or complete understanding of Non-physical beings by (physical) HUMANS would have to be a little off their OWN "rocker" in the awareness department. 😉 🤣
I love her! I’m so glad I’m in a better place emotionally. It helps in EVERY aspect of life!

Neglect in a relationship if you’re so focused on yourself and taking care of yourself and putting yourself first etc. ?
@@taleyajohnson1867 I found when I take care of myself first, I have more to give to my sons and all relationships. I, also, found it's so much easier to let go of disappointments. I can be clear of expectations and move on easier to living happily with tons of appreciation toward all of my relationships.
@@jazjasmine9496 thank you for offering your perspective. In my previous relationship my partner focused so much on himself and it frustrated me at times. I understand there’s a possibility of me being trigger by my lack or selfishness in certain instances but also I believe an inflated ego and sense of selfishness cannot coexist in a loving relationship. 🤷🏽♂️ still processing..
@@taleyajohnson1867 You sound like you're right on track towards taking care of yourself. That's very challenging to live with what you described in previous partner. I get it. I hope you're not only happier, but you can appreciate what this relationship defined to you so well that you really know what you want. I would think was all bullshit, except. When I was a young adult I got my first job and quickly saved up $1,100 in my brand new bank account. I made the mistake one day of casually reading out my bank balance in the car with my parents. I can’t explain what was so terrifying about my dad’s tone of voice. But when he said, “You’ve got eleven hundred dollars in the bank?! You mean to tell me you ain’t living paycheck to paycheck?!” I knew I had done wrong. I knew I was a worm. A parasite. An ungrateful burden who deserved nothing. Soon after, my money started to slip away and I was never again able to save money. That was about twenty-five years ago. It was only about two years ago that I remembered this story and realized that it had marked a turning point for the worse for me. My dad was an intensely jealous and bitter man. My heart goes out to him. But I’m ready to stop living under his thumb. Finally.

Amen. I am in that position most if the time. About 10 percent growth left in terms of caring more about others. My girlfriend literally gave me a Valentine's Day card that says "I ❤ every delicious moment we share." Yesterday my coworker's said...it seems like you get preferential treatment. What's your secret to working a 32-hour week? And when I said "it's an honor the company offered me leadership of an all-women's outpatient therapy new group"...she said, "because YOU ARE that person in real life!"😀💝🙏☝️💪
