Only the strong can forgive. What strength does it take to hate? None at all. But to hope for their change for the better - that takes strength.
@@LordSerion it also takes strength to defend the innocent from the blood thirsty. There is no virtue in forgiving if said forgiveness allows the enemy to continue its quest to hurt those who cannot defend themselves.
@@zhontac6194 You forget the wisdom of the Gold Dragon. We forgave the guilty murderous prophet of baphomet. The point of forgiveness is to forgive of a person of their current crimes, not on what they might do. The Golden Dragon wisdom is complete forgiveness to those who ask, and no exceptions, and no stipulations.
@@zhontac6194 This is my biggest issue with this path. Letting people who have no intention of changing/repenting run amok feels wrong... This theme is badass, though.

Turns out Golarion does have superheroes, except instead of weird people with goofy costumes, they're colossal golden dragons.
Oh, there are weird people with goofy costumes, too (the Vigilante class) but you're right, the colossal golden dragons *are* better.
Massive Dragons of Gold and Silver, Angels wreathed in Holy Fire and righteous fury, and regular people who decide that they've had enough.

WotR is always about what makes you feel most powerful and badass, not about the meta. I play Angel because I think it's awesome, not cause it's the strongest mythic path, and I'd love to play Gold Dragon for the same reason.

@@antman5215 Galfrey, understandable. But then again, she acts against you no matter which mythic path you took. And as for Iomedae... she didn't put you through anything. She actually held back from interfering until she decided being on the sidelines would be worse for mortals in the long run, and when she did interfere, it's to give you the option to be the master of your own fate and maybe even take the same path she once did to actual godhood.
I think you're missing out by not trying angel. It's one of the more complete mythic paths in the game, and you get to be best bros with the Hand of the Inheritor.
To redeem yourself, and the world, embrace the emperor's color. GOLD.

Storywise, i think this path is more badass than legend. You accept the dark in you and transcend rather than reject it.
Except that almost nobody aknowledges that you're a dragon and mexhanically it's lackluster. Kinda lame

This theme encapsulates Gold Dragon perfectly, for is not the mercy of the martyr, but the compassion of being so powerful, so above, why be anything but - what is left to threaten you, what is left to gain?
The theme correctly transfers compassionate superiority. Extend mercy to all, but swift eradication, awaits all who refuse it...

Afterward, I, being the Dovaboss that I am, will wreck the dragon's crap because I am the dragon born and it be the lowly dragon. It is quite possible giants, mammoths and even the occasional rabbit will fall in our 'epic' battle, because even the Dovaboss misses from time to time in his quest to put the dragon menace down, but as Lord Farqua said from Shrek, some of them may die but that is the price I am willing to pay! @@zhontac6194 There is a one problem. While we are at it, I want to calmly remind you that your powers come from dragons themselves because you have their blood in you. So probably at some point Dovakiin mama got bored of Dovakiin papa and decided to have some afair with dragon later praying that Dovakiin papa wont notice.

'Dovakiin' is not like the half-dragon template. It is even entirely possible that Dovakiin isn't even completely genetic at all. It is the blessing that Lord Akatosh bestows upon his chosen. If Dovakiin was a mythic path, its power stems from the God of Gods. Of a truth, Akatosh is often depicted as a dragon, and yes, dragons are often thought of as strong. Even if I grant that there were dragons in the bloodline, then that just means that I am better at being a dragon than those wyrms. Nothing you have said makes me inferior. I just dragon better than the dragons do. FUS RO DAH!!
I SO wanted to stick to the path of the angel. Then I've heard this song while talking to Hal, and I knew my way was set.
Except how cringe the dialogue is for so much of it. I swear, they don't know how to write WISE neutral good characters. They all just act like naive children.

@@lazerfluxxy7370 Yeah, the mechanics are fine, the overall story of the thing is fine, the dialogue just needs to be completely rewritten. Luckily, that's the most straightforward part.
It's for this path that the comment from Paarthurnax in Skyrim works well, "What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" You can go from the most wrathful of demons, to the most forgiving of dragons, and in doing so, make even Iomedae, Goddess of Righteous Valor, Honor, and Justice question her judgement. You can make the Goddess of Fate send Areelu, newly redeemed, to Nirvana. By the end, you have proven that Iomedae was WRONG. Demons can be redeemed if you put in the effort.
It's totally naive and unrealistic. The demons who get redeemed basically do so because they were asked really nicely and were given a little speech about how sad they are. That would never, ever work for the most evil people in real life, and it wouldn't work on literal incarnations of evil whose depravities go far beyond anything humans are capable of.
The first is better: To be born good. If you have to overcome evil, you must have done a lot of damage to other people beforehand.
And horrible writing in both games. You can Demons to stopp being evil and they listening. You can play the most cruel demon, Hal asks you not to kill the cultists and wow now you qualify for a benevolent Dragon.
Naive and stupid
Actually... They explicitly don't. All demons are formed from human depravity. Ie, everything they do is what humans are capable of.
Not only all that, but in the end…we destroy Descari once and for all…and we do it using the very same type of power that ultimately saved us at the start of the game. It goes full circle.

This is what exactly what those "exterminatus" angels wish they could be. Angels don't really exterminatus anyone unless it directly threatens heaven.
That's funny, considering what you have to do to unlock this path.
This is my headcanon of the actions in the campaign and overall, how I saw it forming.
My character was your common backstabbing rogue, doing what she wanted, the way she wanted and when she wanted. If it was beneficial to her, she did it. (Chaotic evil tbh)
During her adventures, she found out about the demon inside her, primal rage, hatred and lust for bloodshed and violence. She was part demon and turning into more and more demonic
Fighting the demons at start, soon she was leading them.
While visiting ancient ruin, she met old man there, who told her about spirit of golden dragon.
That man managed to convince her to not succumb to the bloodlust and to keep one of her enemies alive, letting him leave without giving anything to her in return. Something she had never done before.
When the time came later, she realized what the man had meant with the spirit and that one kind action had awakened that said spirit inside her. She was a golden dragon and could change her ways if she wanted to. When she had to choose between cleansing the corruption of abyss from her or to succumb to the rage, too deep to be able to saved anymore. She realized that her companions counted on her and she managed to overpower the hatred within her. She had changed and during weeks, learned to control the dragonic powers in her veins, and heart.
I had an Evil -> Gold Dragon playthrough I'm currently brewing too (Although I am unsure about going Gold Dragon yet, still on Act 3)
Human, the aftermath of Kenabres and the seeming incompetence of the Queen and the crusades which failed to take Drezen in 70 years, whilst under his leadership it was taken in less than 2 weeks tells him that the leadership of Nerosyan cannot be trusted. Luckily for him, an alternative was found, meeting Zacharious by chance was fortunate indeed! The disasters in Kenabres must not repeat, yet can he really trust in the competence of the fools of Iomedae and the Queen of fools in Nerosyan to provide the required resources, efforts and will that is needed to destroy the demon hordes that comes out of the world wound, he thinks not. Lucky for him, there are pretty much countless cultists out there, if they are oh so willing to forgo their humanity and side with the demons who would bring ruin to the order of this world, so be it, let's turn them into more useful beings, undead who would help protect the living instead, a much better use for their worthless existence so to say.
However this outlook would be shaken when an elderly healer begged to spare a cultist's life, how unsightly, and ironic that one who tries to save, would beg to spare one who likely spilled blood and destroyed lives, and probably will continue to do so. Still maybe some humanity is left in them should the healer's words be trusted that they still try their best to tend to each other's wounds. The healer then turns into a dragon and spoke of Terendelev who did heal him, no questions asked of his origin or whatever. Thus brought the question, perhaps even with cultists not all is lost?
(Yeah kind of RP'ing as someone who approach things with the end justify the means, saw Necromancy as an efficient way for him to delete demons who causes chaos and that using the bodies of cultists is just, he would even count that as repentance for what they did in life. His ultimate goal is to bring peace and order, but would he be satisfied in the shape of what peace he is to bring to the Sarkorian lands? I don't have a pre-planned ending but going as depending on how everyone reacts to his shit as a lich)

I find it funny that my lich turned into a gold dragon but can still use most of the lich spells, “atone for your sins or I shall raise you as an undead to do it”

I wanted to play as a dragon in RPGs for so long...games like Neverwinter Nights 2 or Tyranny were great, but didn't have this touch of perfection.
And now Pathfinder Wotr granted my wish.

@@garrusvakarian1618 I did, it's a great game, and Larian Studios knows how to entertain players. It lacks the refined systeam of dialogues and choices Pathfinder Wotr has, but you're right, it's a must for dragon lovers.
@@AvvocatodiTito I would not say that game is a must for dragon lovers at all. The human form combat is horrible, which is 80% of the game at least. You don't get your dragon form until half of the way in, and even then you can't just transform and then burn a bunch of goblins to a crisp, because dragon form tracks enemies separately and they simply just disappear after transformation, only to reappear once you shift back to human (how fun it is to land on a platform only to find yourself suddenly surrounded by enemies that your dumbass dragon form self would have easily cleared or at least been aware of if the enemies were actually visible and hittable).
And the dragon mode combat minigame is pretty terrible in its own right. And then you have these backwater towns that have anti-dragon forcefields for some reason, way to spoil the coolness factor of just meandering around as a dragon, even if people don't necessarily react to it like in WoTR. NPCs just casually walking around in areas clearly designed for dragon flight mode, how the fuck did they get there, how are they living like this? There was just no immersion to the game, it was a very gamey game, and not a very good one at that, sorry to say.
The lore itself and the voice acting was pretty neat, but that's the only nice thing I have to say about it. Despite having cool lore though, the story itself is told in a pretty laughable way, like the bad guy just casually teleporting in to mock you but not kill you for some reason (leaving you to go on and get stronger), and your mentor (merlin knock-off) casually teleporting in to trash talk the bad guy but ultimately doing nothing, it was hilariously bad.
I've played far better budget RPGs, and there are better "dragon-lover" games out there, even if they are in scarce supply. Divinity 2 had such an awesome concept though, if only they made human and dragon combat more woven into one another, perhaps seamlessly. I certainly wouldn't mind a reimagining of the game if they ever use their Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3 money for it. And yes, it would have to be a reimagining, a simple remaster would NOT do it for me, and probably most people.

Все саундтреки шикарны. Разве что трек азаты показался слегка скучноватым на фоне остальных. Осталось послушать дьявола и роя, если у них есть свои саундтреки.

The theme honestly sounds regal, like it’s announcing the arrival of royalty… or something divine. Which fits for gold dragons, I guess, since they’re the greatest of the metallic dragons and they’re pretty close to divine without actually being agents of heaven itself lol.
I started out lich, and ended up not following through with the ritual after my great friend of a mentor was an ass and went full dragon. A dragon with the powers of a quasi-lich. The ultimate redeemed, is the redeemer.

This amazing track is yet another reason why I'm picking this Mythic path on my first playthrough.

Instantly recognized him! Man, I love dragons, especially their depiction in Pathfinder. You have no idea how happy I was to hear that we are getting a mythic path dedicated to them, and not any dragons - to the golds! The theme is incredible, like any of yours. The violins instantly make you think of something aerial - the king of the skies in this case - and all the other stuff just sounds glorious. Just thank you for another great score!

Idk, what it's about it, but this theme is pure fantasy! I can imagine flying as a Dragon, witnessing times changing...I simply LOVE it! Sure, there is only one Hell's Advance, but ... damn Dmitry! You really outdid yourself! I can(and do) have criticisms about Wrath, but your music always makes me forget it, for a moment being IN Mendev. Great work!

I just stayed with Hal a little longer, listening to this theme like :o
Imagine you're in a battle in the burning capita. The skies are clouded from ash and smoke. The sounds of swords on shields, the thunderous sounds of cannons and gunpowder, the screams and war cries. And on top of the once golden palace now stands an ancient red dragon, letting out a roar of wrath and triumph. Suddenly, a paladin rises, bearing the symbol of a dragon in silver, and he raises his sword to the shrouded skies and roars out a prayer for all to hear:
0:00 "Hear out my plea and answer, Bahamut!"
The skies begin to clear
"Give us the strength to vanquish this evil! Let our swords be the talons you used to drive away Asmodeus! Let our shields be your scales that warded off Bane's blade! Let us fight in you name, as our ancestors did long ago! Let us defeat this evil, as you did Long ago! Let us fight for justice! For Honor! For glory! And for a new dawn!"

"The platinum dragon" You hear someone whisper "It's the platinum dragon!" You hear another yell out. "It's Bahamut! He's watching over us! We can win this!" and you hear people let out a war cry. Their moral is lifted, the spirit now unwavering. They mow down their enemies and march towards the dragon's palace.
And in the sky, flying towards the red tyrant, are the heroes of the realms riding a golden dragon.

@@drinktea3670 Айву не обижается на выбор данного пути, о чём прямо говорит в диалоге. И затем обещает вернуться, когда подрастёт, чтобы снова путешествовать вместе, но уже, как драконы.
@@AntonSorokinSilent дракон спокойно проходит в любом коридоре/через любую дверь, в чём проблема? Выглядит немного нелепо, но на механику игры никак не влияет.
Не отменяет того, что у пути много багов, такие как диспелящаяся форма, неработающий наскок, плавающие статы и т.д. Но даже с этим путь очень силён, позволяет легко оставлять партию в начале локации и чистить всё в соло в минимальном забафе с 7-ю атаками в раунд, отличным драконьем дыханием и АС65+
Мне лично в пути не нравится только моделька) Ещё с первой части - очень нелепая. У нового серебряного она намного круче, не говоря уже о чёрном. Для мифика хотелось бы всё же изменений в дизайне.

It would have been cool if you actually were the dragon that healed Terendelev, and you had somehow lost your way. It would have made the path make more sense. Still love it though

I choosed this path. I know many will be disagreed but quests of this path are the worst of this game.
" You wanna be a dragon ? Greet ! Fetch flowers in the Battlefield and look forward documents in the biggest prison of our worst foes. Both are occupied with so many deamons and WE don't know where are these documents precisely. And go to inn fetch some cheese."
It's fairly basic compared to the other mythic themes, but then again dragons are incredibly basic so it fits perfectly.

@@idirhad5244 isn't it? It's a fairly generic orchestral fantasy theme with plenty of trumpets and strings, if I heard it in some other RPG I probably wouldn't notice. Or are you saying dragons aren't generic?
@@idirhad5244 He is right though. This music, even if it's good, has nothing particular compared to the rest of the soundtrack. It is basic yet efficient. It is generic orchestral music. The Aeon theme is far more original for instance.
Well, basic ain't necessarily a bad thing. Like ye said, it fits perfectly.
Exactly. It's great for what it is, and I can't really imagine what else you could make for a dragon. But we've seen dragons a million times, and so we've heard similar music a million times. Something like the Aeon or Trickster themes are way more memorable simply because they're made for fantasy concepts that we've pretty much never seen before.
Angel is too much of a good path for me (boring).
