What I love about this is the “next chapter” line was written to be last words of the finale, but Sasha and Angie improvised the last few lines there and it stayed as the final words instead. It’s great cuz the show gets to end with a laugh
This series finale had so many poignant moments. Jane passing Frost's blue spaceman on to Frankie being one of them. Saying goodbye to Maura and Jane just tears at my heartstrings. So, with a very heavy heart indeed, I say Au Revoir.

@Helena Badenhorst, your dream for True Rizzles not taking place is better than the ending of Xena & Gabrielle (the parents of lesbian subtext)....with them killing off Xena, Gabrielle soulmate which they had repeatedly stated in episodes and different lifetimes....but I digress, at least in Rizzles....it is ending with them going off to Paris together (in one of the MOST romantic cities)....for a WHOLE month, what friend postpone a new career for a WHOLE month....28 days to spend time with their LLBFF? One's that are in love maybe.....man, this has so much more Rizzle Main text than subtext, it is glorious. Jane goes off with Maura to Paris.....they decided while they are they they actually love each other (as they are away from Jane's mom and brothers and BPD...and everyone that they know). Jane propose to Maura a week before they leave Paris (Maura accepts gleefully, and said, "Jane, yes....a thousand yes, I never knew you would finally cross that threshold and pursue a romantic relationship with me.....I have been in love with you since we met over the first crime scene"....Jane response to that...."I didn't think I could live up to the expectation of what I saw as someone you could marry...since all your previous paramours are rich...." Maura response, "Jane, you know I never cared about money..." Jane, "I know.....but better late than never...plus I wanted to be safe enough where you didn't have to worry about me being killed on the job....the FBI instructor position will afford that...." Maura, "Hmmm, what does this mean for me as an ME here at BPD..." Jane, "You could always do it in Washington with me...." Maura, "You are right....I love you Jane." Jane, "I love you Maura...." And they live happily ever after. Ummm......lots of Rizzles there my friend.
i think it is called 'suppression of intimate feelings and sexual desires' for each other...when two people are afraid to initiate contact as it may lead to a full blown passionate lovemaking that has been festering like a pustule for the past 8yrs
