As you go through GOT7'S discography you'll notice there was a definite shift in the sound - that came when JYP finally started letting the members write some of their songs. We learned after they left JYP that all the members had written songs over the years, quite a lot of songs, but most were never approved by JYP. One of BamBam's songs was one of these unreleased GOT7 songs that he re-worked as a solo so it could finally see the light of day. Even when JYP did approve a GOT7 member written song it often had to go through a lot of edits before the company would approve the group to use it. From the stories we've gotten it sounds like the company was very strict about what they would allow.

I blame Jinyoung and Cha Eunwoo for finding my way to Kpop. If they weren’t good actors, I probably wouldn’t have crossed over lol Devil Judge is my favorite Jinyoung drama, but He’s Psychometric holds a fond place in my heart. finally a guide to got7!! i agree with the there is no perfect guide, there would be a one or two miss, but they really help a lot. also i agree that scouting stories are very funny. one of the funniest to me was ryujin's. girlie just attended a got7 fanmeet to fangirl but a jyp staff scouted her, and she gave her number because she thought she was cute😭
For the record! I love watching reactions- even to guides! Because I can see what people I admire, think of other people I admire! They watch something that contains almost all of the information I wish it did and I can watch raw reactions that focus on every member. In music videos or something, often only a few really get pointed out, never really all of them. In got7, for ewxample, the member people often focus on is mostly jackson, sometimes Bambam as well (which does make sense ofc, both of them are awesome!!), but VERY rarely anyone else, for example like youngjae, who is my ult. So these guides are nice to watch, because everyone gets the attention they deserve!

The YG vs JYP battle is a tradition first started between Big Bang and 2 PM after that we had WINNER + iKON against JYP trainees ( some members of GOT7 ) the last was between yg trainees ( some members of TREASURE) against STRAY KIDS.
I know I’m like 5 yrs late so idk if these things have been mentioned lol. But Jackson was a fencer and essentially turned down a chance to go to the Olympics to go to Korea and be a trainee. His parents were athletes too. I think his mom was an Olympic ice skater if I’m not mistaken. He even has a tattoo of the the Olympic rings And I’ve only seen one of Jinyoung’s dramas so far. It’s called “He is Psychometric “ and it’s fantastic and I highly recommended it. (He has a shower scene 👀😂😩)

i will say that if anyone was an aghase in the early days, you might remember when things were a little rougher in terms of the group dynamic and how the members fit into the idol role. they have really matured as well as growing up and have come to different places with regards to how they want to participate in fame. i did notice a big shift when jyp started offering therapy for their talent in 2017/2018, for jb in particular. he's my bias but i did notice that he struggled with anger sometimes. he had to unlearn a lot of family stuff. that's why i'm pretty proud of him now. he had to work to figure out how to be the best leader for everyone and he did a good enough job at it that got7 owns "got7."
This guide was really well made, at least compared to most kpop guides that offer a very narrow perspective, which can rather often feel like we're missing out on all the inside jokes instead of getting to know the group. I already knew a lot of what was mentioned, even though I hadn't watched this guide before (or any got7 guide I believe), but I really enjoyed watching this along with you. Perhaps we like guide reactions cause they can feel like hanging out with a friend and introducing them to one of our faves~
This video makes me miss them so much, I'm happy we get solo activities though. That galaxy naming thingy makes me realize fans are as crazy as the members lmao I am happy you get to see their music from scratch, you will love it, also don't forget to put their subunits and Japanese's songs in your list. About the battles between JYP and YG, it has been going on for years. It is almost like a tradition. It started back when BigBang members were still trainees. BigBang members went against YG trainees. Than it was ikon and winner members verses Got7 and Day6 members. After it was Stray kids members verses some YG trainees (some participants were later in Treasure Box survival show.)
Bambam and Chan were known as Chaotic duos in JYP.. Chan almost debuted in Got7 (TMI). You can listen to 4419 song from predebut album MIXTAPE of skz , where Chan wrote about the bus he took with Bammie to jyp during trainee days

I didn’t know that JYP and YG competed on multiple occasions, but I do know that Stray Kids and Treasure competed and the videos from that are ICONIC.

The YG vs JYP battle is a tradition first started between Big Bang and 2 PM after that we had WINNER + iKON against JYP trainees ( some members of GOT7 ) the last was between yg trainees ( some members of TREASURE) against STRAY KIDS.

I know I’m like 5 yrs late so idk if these things have been mentioned lol. But Jackson was a fencer and essentially turned down a chance to go to the Olympics to go to Korea and be a trainee. His parents were athletes too. I think his mom was an Olympic ice skater if I’m not mistaken. He even has a tattoo of the the Olympic rings
And I’ve only seen one of Jinyoung’s dramas so far. It’s called “He is Psychometric “ and it’s fantastic and I highly recommended it. (He has a shower scene 👀😂😩)

i will say that if anyone was an aghase in the early days, you might remember when things were a little rougher in terms of the group dynamic and how the members fit into the idol role. they have really matured as well as growing up and have come to different places with regards to how they want to participate in fame. i did notice a big shift when jyp started offering therapy for their talent in 2017/2018, for jb in particular. he's my bias but i did notice that he struggled with anger sometimes. he had to unlearn a lot of family stuff. that's why i'm pretty proud of him now. he had to work to figure out how to be the best leader for everyone and he did a good enough job at it that got7 owns "got7."

This guide was really well made, at least compared to most kpop guides that offer a very narrow perspective, which can rather often feel like we're missing out on all the inside jokes instead of getting to know the group. I already knew a lot of what was mentioned, even though I hadn't watched this guide before (or any got7 guide I believe), but I really enjoyed watching this along with you. Perhaps we like guide reactions cause they can feel like hanging out with a friend and introducing them to one of our faves~

He was given the nickname “JR/Junior” because JYP didn’t want to share “his name” with an idol lol and would steal packages that Jinyongs mom sent him they were mainly food and care packages even one time took his kimchi package he was called out for it on an EP of Knowing Bros (good EP they roast jyp very much deserved)

Even Stray Kids used to battle with some of the Treasure members (Yedam, Jihoon and Doyoung). About the battles between JYP and YG, it has been going on for years. It is almost like a tradition. It started back when BigBang members were still trainees. BigBang members went against YG trainees. Than it was ikon and winner members verses Got7 and Day6 members. After it was Stray kids members verses some YG trainees (some participants were later in Treasure Box survival show.)

Bambam and Chan were known as Chaotic duos in JYP.. Chan almost debuted in Got7 (TMI). You can listen to 4419 song from predebut album MIXTAPE of skz , where Chan wrote about the bus he took with Bammie to jyp during trainee days
