Anyone else get teary-eyed when the Count recognizes Anastasia and pays her proper courtesy despite the danger he and all the other illegal boarders are in?
Not to mention when the 2 guards came aboard after the song, " We'll Go From There" when they mentioned the name of the Count, he was shot. It really shows how merciless the Russians were after the Romanovs were killed....
This always strikes a chord with me. Because some of us had to leave our countries and homes for whatever reason. And some of us are their children listening to them say this about their homeland
I'm glad you went for the best song from the musical to do an animatic. I love how the Count is the same actor who plays her Dad. That 'tears will never dry' where the guy comforts the woman and she just keeps crying, that was effective.
THIS SHIT WAS GOOD! This song is my all time favorite song from the musical and I can't wait to see In My Dreams as well! _You so right we need more animatics for this damn musical_
This animatic perfectly captures the song! I got the feels watching this alongside the song. I agree with you too Anastasia deserves to have loads of fan animatics, it's one of my favorite plays. Beautiful! You should feel very proud of this animatic.
I have just found this musical and your animatic, and God, I'm crying. This song really touches every time. As Russian, it hurts in a double way, because you know that sometimes it is necessary to leave your country. And a lot of things doesn't give you a choice. (And the "russian" music lines and music instruments took me to another level of melancholy. It sounds like an old Russian romance. ;-;) Thank you, dear! Your animatic is gorgeous! I felt the spirit of unity between people! You did fantastically great job!!
Now I love this songs and it’s in my opinion one of the most beautiful and sorrowful things I have ever heard... I still can’t help but imagine the passengers doing this very time the train gets ready to leave.
I love the visuals you added of the ensemble characters. They all look great and the visuals of Anya especially are amazing. This video literally gave me chills.
I was very disappointed that In The Dark of The Night wasn't adapted. I think it could have easily had the lyrics reworked for either Gleb or his boss (especially the Boss, if he's Stalin like I suspect). But at least part of the melody was kept, and to haunting affect.
Wonderfully done! I'm playing Ipolitov for my high school's production... which is topical, since I am a senior and will be likely traveling rather far away to attend college. This song is beautiiful and the animatic captures the feeling nicely! Well done.
One of the most beautiful animatics I've ever seen and totally agree that its criminal that they're so rare. That being said, I'd personally like to request "Everything to Win". Have a good one! :)
KatchTheSmiles it’s all drawn in paint tool sai and edited together in windows movie maker. the fading for certain parts was mainly me doing it frame by frame and fudging around with opacity :)
happy trails, Anastasia on Broadway! :)

I'm singing this in my schools production of Anastasia, super excited!
I was in Rumor in St Petersburg for my schools production!
I know when I see this live, I’m going to cry. The whole song. I’m not even a crier.
I saw it live in February of 2020 before (a month before the shutdown) and I can confirm, this made me cry
It is a crime that Anastasia is so underrated this is incredible :)
Russia is my homeland and I get chills all over my body and cry every time I hear this song and think of the context....
This song gives my chills every time. Maybe because I’m an immigrant? I don’t even know........
same here
As someone who was 2 when my family moved to the US without the opportunity of ever going back to our country....this song hits hard.
This song makes me feel patriotic for a place I've never been
I consider this to be a national anthem for the refugee
Always seemed like an immigrant's lament to me.
Does anyone else hear the Melody from In the Dark of the Night?
MEEE
I’m pretty sure they did that on purpose. I know they did it for one of the songs but I’m not sure which obe
Me! 🙋🏻♀️
It was re used for this when Rasputin was written out in favor of the villian being a member of the bolsheviks who over threw the Anastasia's family.
Me!!!

Count Ipolitov..... He seemed a good man, a life taken too soon for naught but ideology....
"Anya, my girl" ME AF. This was so good! I hope you do more!
I get the same feeling as when I saw "Anatevka" in "Fiddler On On The Roof" 😢 Ironic, isn't it?
This animatic perfectly captures the song! I got the feels watching this alongside the song. I agree with you too Anastasia deserves to have loads of fan animatics, it's one of my favorite plays. Beautiful! You should feel very proud of this animatic.
Hell yeah, cause this stuff is good!

Talk about a non-villain sorrow version of In the Dark of the Night.
I love the visuals you added of the ensemble characters. They all look great and the visuals of Anya especially are amazing. This video literally gave me chills.
This is amazing and I'm so happy someone finally is making animatics of my favorite musical iT'S TAKING LONG ENOUGH DUDES...
Can I just say, as someone who sucks at understanding words in audio, thanks for the subtitles. Also the commentary ones made me laugh a little
this is amazing! I'm so glad someone animated this beautiful song. I wish there were more anastasia animatics too
I still watch this!!! I love the direction

this song is like. my favorite of the whole show TY FOR DOING THIS
god i remember how much this shook me when i saw it on broadway. it was so chilling yet incredible
That little cello lead in makes my heart go ♥️BOOM BOOM♥️
At the end of the song I got goosebumps then I immediately liked it because if it didn't give you goosebumps, what's a good song without 'em?
This was so beautiful. You really captured the emotion. Very wonderful job!
I was Count Ipolitov recently in a community production, It was a Beautiful experience ❤
My favorite song by far love it so much and you did so good animating it
One of the most beautiful animatics I've ever seen and totally agree that its criminal that they're so rare. That being said, I'd personally like to request "Everything to Win". Have a good one! :)
