Things that took me longer than I should have to notice and now adore: 1. The gleeful anticipation of Eric in the buildup. 2. Jackson's eyebrow raise as he realises what the song is. 3. The fact that the Choir is called "Moordale Swingers" (for anyone who doesn't know, "Swinger" is a term used to refer to couples who knowingly and consensually seek to either add a third/fourth/however many they want person into their sexual activities and/or knowingly and consensually engage in sexual activities with people other than their chosen partner).
This is one of the best covers ever!! They have amazing talent working on that show, especially with their music, whether it's song selections or arrangements. ❤
The lead singer has been my favorite bg character since I saw him covered in glitter paint singing the first song during Lily's musical. Love seeing more of him

They typically get a record label to deal with that stuff for them. And that's assuming they actually own the song - more often than not now, Artists don't legally own their work due to the contracts they sign with labels. It wouldn't be at all uncommon for a song to be approved or rejected for use by the license holder without the artist themselves even knowing a request had been made.
