I like how Daigo does that leaping kick to close the distance for the throw.
Also, the kick fake into the grab at 2:42 was too slick.

Nah he had to use level 2 super.
Level 1 Supers can’t be canceled into from another special & only work from normal move cancels.
Level 2’s can be canceled into from special moves.

It's cool to see Daigo use Ken much more like Ken should be, rather than how he was early in his Ken learning days. He played Ken like he did Ryu. Daigo is still a much more measured and calm player compared to so many other Ken players though.
Early days. Those who've been here long enough know that The Beast is not a fast learner. He'll get there in due time
I feel like if the Ken player was someone other than Daigo and played the same, people would be way more critical
He's been playing ken for a day or something and is still higher rank than 90% of players

Ken's Gi top always had the seams hemmed while Ryu's were torn.
Was thinking of using Ken because of old school familiarity but damage seems so low for him.
Guess DeeJay is a better old school character and upgraded in style.

Tbh, what I dont like from Daigo is the fact that he is not an agressive player, he is just spacing and patiently waiting for an opportunity to punish his opponents, but very effective imo.

It's true, his Ken is much more like Ryu right now, but that's just how Daigo is. He's the master of calm, cool and collected.
And lots of throws in a row.
Yeah I’ve been blown up by Kens online doing crazy combos and frame traps but Daigo doesn’t seem to bother with that stuff

Honestly there's another stage in an arena with Spartan's in the background. I think they just went with whatever feels unique maybe.
I know SF games are full of stereotypes but they really went overboard with this stage; In Metro City people have smartphones and shit, but here I was trying to find Sherlock Holmes in the background lmao.

I've seen Daigo lost so many fights that he was literally finished his opponent, and then he adopts this defense and waiting strategy that literally kills him. He is very good attacking but awful defending. Many battles he is like 85% Health bar, and his opponent like 25%. Then he adopts this defense-opportunity mode, that screws him big time.

Something that annoies me from Daigo is that he uses lots of throws, even 3 or 4 in a row in other matches.
Throws in SF are just really strong, even more so in this game
If they’re blocking, why wouldn’t you throw ? Lol that’s what it’s there for
You gotta make em press buttons so you can hit em with tech traps, that’s sf 101
Throw tech is a pretty ballsy wakeup option if the opponent goes for a meaty or neutral jump
it keeps working so why stop lol
