36:34 Opponent is at 17 life. If fatal push specialist, 15. Trade vamp token for inkeeper, 13, 11. Eat walker, 9. Opponent cannot eat the food any more. Sorin is alive! You have three attackers. You attack, opponent must chump vein ripper. 7. If no blocks, 2/2 and 2/4 go through, 3 life, sorin sacrifice lethal. Opponent must block token to not trigger vein ripper, allow preacher through, go to 5 life. Sorin sacrifice preacher....deal 3 damage, vein ripper trigger for last two! If they block preacher, the same two damage is dealt after death, and then same ending. Very complex and fun puzzle to solve!
Yeah I was wondering why he didn't protect Sorin, at the very least I would have double blocked (trade token for innkeeper) and fatal push the walker. Then just attack in next turn to see what I would draw and worst case scenario you can sac mutavault to take out the second walker before end step and the combo is rendered dead with no top deck answers .
I love that decks like this are winning tournaments. Pioneer looked to be in a bad spot recently with geological appraiser and Amalia but this proves that the format is still incredibly open to innovation
I've been having a blast with vein ripper, I use bloodletter for extra cheese. It's quite nice to see sorin getting some more pets. :) Thanks for the contentz.
Opened RUclips this morning to find every influence showing off the piloting of this deck. I went to watch the Pro Tour videos and this pile DOMINATED established decks, seemingly with no answer from the meta.
Glad to see you back. In the Amalia match up when you need to decide which one to remove between walker or Amalia I tend to favor walker since they can't protect it with a spell that gives indestructible unless they want the game to end in a draw.
it's everywhere, i've been palying against it 8/10 games since the protour lmao. I wish you explained more of how to counter this dekc since it's the deat to beat now also damping spheres work for phoenix decks
Sorin has always been on the verge of being broken in Pioneer. He checks too many boxes: 3 mana, is able to "ultimate" the turn he comes down, still lingers on the board, "without paying its mana cost". Was only a matter of time before Wotc printed a vampire worth cheating out. And the deck "restriction" of playing vampires hardly matters... like oh no, I have to play Harvester, woe is me!
You won anyway, but you had lethal at 36:35 : block the innkeeper with your 1/1 , walker with your ripper, and fatal push the specialist. 4 creatures die, they go down to 9 . On your turn, Sorin +1 to sacrifice goblin shaman to kill the goose, 2 creatures die, they get to 5 Attack with ripper and preacher and kill them. ( they get to -3 life) Good deck and good video anyway.
Seth Manfield who won the PT played 1 Sheoldred main deck specialy to counter Izzet Phoenix matches pré sidebording I feel his take of the deck is quite intelligent and matches well in explorer too
Good to see you back man! Been missing your content a lot. I had to resort to watching cvb and your stuff from 3 years ago lol. Glad you're feeling better.
Played this on arena ladder. 5 straight games vs mono black. 5 straight losses I wish I knew where these diverse ladder experiances are. Maybe I should stream and that will get me different decks for opponents
Hello, I love your work. I am a subscriber. I would like it very much. If you would update the Ripper build with the way the Meta is now. and the upcoming changes with OTJ.
not sure what he did in that amalia game. in the turn the opponent attacked sorin, he could have just taken out extraction specialist with fatal push, blocked the other two (so that both attackers and his own vampire die), thats 8 damage to the opponent, putting them to 9. then in his own turn, sac preacher to sorin to take out the goose (another 4 damage) and attack with vein ripper for the win. i guess it didnt matter in the end, because he always had fatal push to take care of amalia, but still made the game drag on for no reason.
I wonder if you fit a 1 or 2 of the 'recursive' vampires one of the guys that comes back from GY if you gain life, just so you have infinite Lightning Helix with Sorin and/or is value from discarding
Interested to see this piloted... i happened to build it a week back or so, and found it lacking (like 50/50). Hasn't bad, but wasn't eqrth shattering. Must have been how I have been running it?
I always have problem to make this decks as I dont know the diferent filters deck typer wont let me search for all cards on deck creation (standar, alchemy, explorer, historic, etc)
Make sure you check "not collected" in the filters. You can also import the deck directly from the link in the video description and make changes or craft the deck from there.
LUCA!!!! I'm glad to see you're feeling better and welcome back! This deck is pretty damn sweet! Appreciate you a lot and I hope you're doing well! 😊
I wish we could post comments on RUclips when you haven't released anything, just to tell you how much we miss you
Welcome back! I am glad you feel good enough to make Videos again :)

Love the story around CFB brewing this list and smashing the event with it.

Glad you're feeling better LVD! Can't wait for more awesome mtg content!
Hell of a deck to make your return with. Glad to hear you back. Love the Exporer content. Thanks.
Vampires have always been my favourite. Glad to see you’re showcasing a new iteration.
Thank you for making these videos. I check every evening for new uploads. 😊
Glad you like them!
In that first match I learned about at least five new things that I hadn’t even thought of, instant subscribe!
Glad to hear you're feeling better LVD
Excellent and fun Vampire Explorer deck. Glad you are back! you are my #1 on line , best videos and knowledge :)
I've been having a blast with vein ripper, I use bloodletter for extra cheese. It's quite nice to see sorin getting some more pets. :) Thanks for the contentz.
31:04 Lol, that Fable said "my work here is done, peace"
I loved seeing this at the pro tour, I went 8-0 at my LGS with a very similar deck list.
He’s back!

Their indestructible effects are usually Selfless Savior, so they’re not instant speed.
Glad you’re back

also damping spheres work for phoenix decks
I remember standard Vamps being good not too long ago. Didn't think I'd see it be good in Explorer
Welcome back Luca! Thank you for making new content so quickly ❤
I was already missing you! Welcome back!
Very powerful. Also now the ONLY deck I see in Explorer...
Missed you!

Good deck and good video anyway.
Dark rit would also be awesome in this deck, you could technically have a vein ripper and a 1-loyalty sorin on turn 1.
Seth Manfield who won the PT played 1 Sheoldred main deck specialy to counter Izzet Phoenix matches pré sidebording I feel his take of the deck is quite intelligent and matches well in explorer too
Missed you man welcome back. Also, the deck looks awesome! Never turn your back on the Ripper.
That phoenix game was A+.
Fun deck to watch, was nice video :D
LVD man you gotta get back into the pro tour scene
it would provide you with a lot of value
31:06 Opponent AND Fable both thought ‘I’m outa here!’
He's back!
Good to see you back man! Been missing your content a lot. I had to resort to watching cvb and your stuff from 3 years ago lol. Glad you're feeling better.
Yay! Vampires are back on the menu boys.
Vein Ripper prices going through the roof as we speak. Might add it to my Gyruda commander deck.
literally searched specifically for commander videos and still got this one. F
It's a banger though!
I'm sad the final version didn't run Ghalta and Marven. But it was, in Yu-Gi-Oh parlance, a huge Garnet.
Yes i love vampiers so much ❤
I might try a few madness vampires with this deck. There is a decent amount of discard.
Gee you're welcome.i haven't got the time or resources to show up and pilot my own deck
Played this on arena ladder. 5 straight games vs mono black. 5 straight losses
I wish I knew where these diverse ladder experiances are. Maybe I should stream and that will get me different decks for opponents
We love you luca!!!
neat! I just pulled a vein ripper from a karlov pack around a week ago, and I was wondering why it went from like $8 to $30+
youtube, why am i not getting notified of this video?
Yay and in my favorite combination

pick your poison bout to pop off in pioneer and explorer lol

0:40 "In a format as fast as pioneer or explorer" ...honestly, what format isn't fast these days?
It's rakdos midrange, but with a 20% higher winrate because it can do something unfair
Xander sorin vampire tribal cheating is a regular deck I play in both pioneer and modern. Nice just add goblin fable 😂🤘
Autotapper doing autotapper things tapping first mutavault for mana instead of cracking a treasure 🎉
4:20 What is this Ixalan set release?
❤❤❤
Anyone know if this deck still performs well or have people moved on to something else?
You can check out metagame percentages and winrates on Untapped.gg
It's the most played archetype on Arena, with a decent winrate.
@@LegenVD They're restricting that site for free users more and more every day. As a free user, I am only able to see Standard Bo1.
Standard version please
Most of the key cards aren't legal in Standard.
@@LegenVD Anvil combo?
@@alancruz1405There's plenty of Anvil decks on the channel!
@@LegenVD You are the best mtg player please if anyone can make Vein Reaper work in Standard it is you.
I thought smuggler copter wasnt in arena
Recent addition!
Fable is such a joke of a card.
I smacked this deck with my rat deck 😅
