Have one on my supercharged Sierra Denali. Amazing compliment to the Whipple! This product is so well engineered. They thought of everything. The intentionally reduced throttle response on the truck was very obvious and made it a lot less fun to drive. The Pedal Monster completely solved that problem.

I purchased the Banks system for my 2021 2.7turbo Silverado. It was unbelievable in the response, that 2.7 turbo acted like a 6.0, it’s all about re-mapping the throttle. It didn’t increase mileage or horsepower, but it did make the response time quicker. Easy to install.
It is good to see the true versus the lies Nice job Gale. I have trusted your info ever since installing a turbo kit on a Ford pickup shortly after you first started producing them way back when and I was working for an international truck dealership.

I installed a throttle controller on my Colorado. It worked fine for a year or so, then started throwing permanent DTCs. Needles to say, it lives in it's box now.

Cable throttle, but it still has a tps. Which will affect fueling if you tap in between and are able to alter the voltages the computer sees vs actual voltage. I'm not sure of all the specifics with that and how it works, but I am sure it can, but it's probably more trouble than it is worth
Pedal commanders don't gain any power at all. I've installed dozens because people bring them to me to be installed. Even my roommate has one on his mustang. All it does is make the throttle more touchy

if i had money and were smart enough. id be designing retro fit cable operated and mechanical components for all these new engines so where your electronics fail we would have a solid reliable way to put things back how they should be. which is eliminate every electronic device and go back mechanical movement.
That’s what happened to me. It kept doing it when I was wide open throttle on the highway trying to merge. After it sent my engine into limp mode, I had to pull over and restart the truck. I put up with it like 2 more times before yanking it out of my F150. I came across the pedal monster by accident and decided to try it out. So far it’s been the best money I’ve spent on the truck. Best of all, no more limp modes and check engine lights the pedal commander caused! I wish Gale Banks the best and hope he continues to crank out quality products like these!
I bought a pedal modulator for my truck, even at the $30 i spent on amazon is too much. Congrats it intercepts one voltage and transmits another higher voltage thinking you’re pressing the throttle harder. Yeah it changes the curve but these things even the banks cost less than $20 to produce and i could make one for $10
@@bankspower i agree and would trust bank’s expertise and decades of experience for beautifully built charge pipes that maximize the volume of air, your amazing tuning skills, but for me personally having banks make my pedal signal modifier is like having Leonardo Da Vinci paint my parking lot lines. I will say yours is far more advanced it does all of it via the can-bus instead of the signal voltage allowing it to know why you’re in reverse and make much more conditional maps compared to cheap ones. You guys have an amazing social network program with your customer engagement and education.

I had a pedal commander on my tundra and it kept throwing a code that my throttle sensor was bad. I removed the pedal commander and deleted the code. I tried using the pedal commander again with the same result. I threw it away
I had both and by far. Pedal Monster is a lot better then the commander. Pedal commander id lose all power and go into limp mode in the rain. Never once with the pedal Monster did I have any problems.

But then he spent a weekend driving around with a competitor's unit. He returned with a changed mind. There's a myth that pedals are mapped linearly. Most pedals are not one-to-one with the throttle because OEs soften the response in the middle of the pedal's range of motion for fuel economy and emissions reasons. This is why so many cars and trucks has a mushy pedal. Can you achieve the same thing with a much heavier foot? Yes, potentially, but most people do not like to drive with their foot to the floor just the way no one likes standing on their tiptoes for more than a minute. Based on your YT handle, you drive a diesel so we'll address tuning. With custom tuning, you can adjust the pedal response. But with custom tuning, what you cannot do is change the pedal response as you drive.
