The Film was probably inspired by Spider Man into The Spider-Verse, where the film teach you to change your version of that character.

Probably because they didn't want to have them go through so many actors considering that they've been going at it since 1940. They did talk in the 1992 movie, but the audience didn't like that, so I guess they decided to keep them silent for the 2021 film.
