- Hey friends! Let's do a little bonus video featuring the brand new, almost sold out new HomeWorx by Harry Slatkin Luxe candles. I was gifted the Spun Vanilla Sugar in the Luxe format to be able to share with you guys. So let's dive through the specs and my thoughts. The fragrances that were available in the jumbo Luxe format were White Birch, All Through The House, Winter Fireside and Spun Vanilla. Those are massive! No I skipped on these. It would take me 2 years to burn that candle! But I will enjoy it through you!

It's so good! It is not completely pooled out! It happened much faster than I expected.
I really wanted one. Didn’t buy it because I’m concerned on how it will burn.
I didn’t buy any and it’s not because I couldn’t have afforded it. Jumbo candles are not my jam, and I’ve got all of those scents in the regular 4 wicks. I enjoy my candles while they’re burning, but when I finish one, I’m happy to choose a new one from my candle shelves. I’m not a partial burner, put it back on the shelf kind of person. These would take forever to finish. I think collectors will love these big beauties as the large jars are definitely statement pieces.
For me it’s not only because of the high price it’s just a lot of candle, I can’t imagine me burning such a large amount of a scent like that without wanting to put it away and I hate doing that, for me 18 ounce is the max, not to mention paying for such a large and expensive candle without not knowing how it will perform, I can’t wait for your review on this one

Let me tell ya, I’ve had one of these in my cart then out then in then out again. 🙄 I mean I want it when I think, its so pretty and I like the scent options. But then I think of the recent performance issues with HW candles and the burn time commitment puts me in a no mood. I don’t know. No one should be surprised if I find myself on a waitlist by the end of the night. 🤣

I cannot even imagine. My home is 1100 sq ft. This candle would just be too much here. And then there are the issues with the throw and the wicks of some of his candles. Hope it works out well for you but just looking at it gives me anxiety lol.
OMG. Just got my luxe SVS. When you said it was huge....you weren't kidding. It will take me from fall into winter to burn through this. I got two and it should take me through next year. My goodness. Was a major splurge but I love the scent and will burn alongside other complimentary fragrances.
Aren't they enormous??? Also, be sure to clean it out after you are done and use it as a hurricane! They fit the HomeWorx 4 wick candles.

I’ll enjoy it through you. Too much on one candle and too big for me. I grow bored and want to switch scents too often for that candle to work for me. Lol It is pretty though!

I just received my spun vanilla sugar 80oz luxe candle and can hardly wait to start burning it. Do you trim the wicks before the first burn?
No, but be sure to for subsequent burns for sure. Enjoy!

I am so interested to see your reviews on the performance, strength, and throw of this candle. I will enjoy it vicariously through you. LOL. I just enjoy getting though my scents too much to have one last me weeks.

I am in love with the spun vanilla sugar scent. I was watching QVC when this launched as the first item of the show. It sold out so quickly. I am on wait list for 5 we will see if I am able to get any. It depends on your likes and needs for candles as to if this is a good purchase for you. Thanks for your review since it sold out before Shawn even presented this scent.

Yes they did! I don't think I've ever seen a candle sell out that fast on QVC and I watch daily. That's when ya know you got a good thing 😊
I just got all 5 and these are beyond exceptional 👏. Noticed on QVC ( not on waitlist) and Harry's website they are selling them. Hope you got yours!
I'm on waitlist for the Jumbo candle in the same scent. If I don't receive it, it's okay. I did order the hobnail set of 2 Spice Butter Rum and Sugar Plum Peach at a special price, these will be gifted for the holidays. I'm ready for all the pumpkin,cinammon, spice etc that Homeworx has to offer this season. This season I did buy Spring/Summer candles from Homeworx. Island Citrus Guava was meh. However, Homeworx set of 3 Farmstand and Berry Trifle were amazing!!! This is why I keep coming back to this brand. Homeworx does some of the best gourmand blends. Fingers crossed, I'm hoping the fall/winter candle collection will be great!

Right? They are not great for storing. They would take up the space of several candles for sure.
Sure the spun vanilla is 9n waitlist. With QVC anytime I'm on a wait list for his candles I never get one. So bummer 😪
I am happy that I was able to order this scent. I love the vessel too. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the performance once lit. Just purchased the hurricane from Pottery Barn to use with this candle. FYI: Pottery Barn is having a 4th of July sale and the hurricane is 50% off. Still pricey but $75 is much more reasonable to me to pay. Thanks for the suggestion 😀

The 80 oz size is impressive, but way too much candle for me. As you said, I like to start and finish a variety of candles. I’m currently working through 3 candle companies; enjoying the experience for the most part. Thank you for sharing your thoughts & burn experience. 🍀
I am actually curious about how I will feel about the scent after I finish it because I really like it now.... but if I am burning it for hours and hours for weeks and weeks.... I wonder lol....

I live north of Seattle Washington and I totally understand the shipping issues! It takes forever for things to arrive especially from Homeworx and Kringle to get here! I laughed about them coming by donkeys I had thought of horse and buggy 😂😂😂 I’ve really been watching a ton of your older videos to find reviews on some of these holiday candles that have been on sale so I really appreciate it! Thanks so much. I decided if you are not in love with a scent then I won’t order from qvc since you have to buy 2. I will take my chances and maybe can pick up a single somewhere else. I debated all weekend between cranberry wreath or garland berry but decided I didn’t want 2 of either. I was going to say the jumbo winter fireside was waitlisted yesterday but available today so maybe some cancellations. I watched the presentation and the white birch one went fast it must be a popular scent!
Yay! I grew up just outside of Oly before coming down to the Portland area for college. I always feel like there are not enough of us candle crazy people in the PNW! We do wait forever for our orders, don't we? Sometimes I get things well after they have sold out and I'm always like, DANGIT! Not again! LOL!
@@MrKongsMom yep I just got my order from Homeworx today that was placed on June 13 while others have since gotten it and done reviews on it. I don’t have as much trouble with BBW as they actually use planes for their shipments from the east coast! What a novel idea 😂😂😂
That White Birch is a fan favorite...I don't get the tree association with it though when they sell it as such but it is a nice winter scent.
Mekanie, great video. I think the newness of the jumbo and the smaller number they started out with are two reasons they sold out so fast. I do not think (IMO) that the jumbo would be a great seller on an everyday availability. I was just looking at these today on QVC. TYSM for the review ps I’m in California and my candles I purchased from Kringle ( using your code) melted 🤦🏻♀️. I placed a huge order with GC and medium with BBW so now I’m worried 😟
I didn't buy any of these for two reasons (price is NOT one of them). First, it's 100 degrees here this week so I just can't get into any of the winter scents yet, and if I got that jumbo, I'd want to light it up right away. If he'd offered this in pink glass in Peony, I'd have been powerless to resist. That said, my second concern is ABSOLUTELY wick performance and throw. My jumbo Voluspa doesn't throw well either, but I'll never buy another... so it's a balance. I love the SVS scent too, but am not interested in amber glass in my decor. I guess that's a few reasons. I DO hope the reviews are good(-ish at least) and that they come out in a scent I really love. (I was tempted by White Birch). SOOOO many candle sales across the brands right now, I'm already pretty deep in wax, but ooooooooooh if he'd do a pink glass Peony jumbo ;)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I am very curious about how this will burn. So far it is pooling out very quickly and easily. And it smells great... however I do wonder if I will not care for the scent anymore when I finally finish it after having to burn it for so long. They are totally a novelty and not something I would buy multiples of.
I never know how to get to the "as is" section on QVC.
I get to it by typing As Is in the search bar at the top. Then you can go through the categories.
I saw them on the website and then a few hours later I was like waitlist?! It went so quick!
While the candle itself sounds like a treat I have similar opinions as you - this would take FOREVER to burn especially if you work outside the home. Which even just my small stash of homeworx candles I'm still working through sometimes I get home from work and I'm like do I have time for this to get a full wax pool?! And then I'd think of possible soot issues. I think maybe a blessing it sold out so fast so its siren song could no longer tempt me!
Good point on this one probably not being ideal for those who work outside the home. Something this large will take a LONG time to burn. And a commitment to even let pool out fully.

Very big candle indeed lol. It pooled out perfectly the first burn. I thought it would take hours. But it does not.
Ya when are they going to make the rest of the candles available on the homework website?? I got some of the newness but am waiting to purchases the rest I couldn’t resist their last sale price? I didn’t get the jumbos because I have all of the scents that they came out with already and have multiples of each so I didn’t want more lol and I’m not crazy about the size it’s too much for me and the cost no thank you way too much I can get more scents with that cost you know lol and I have sooo many spun vanilla sugars that I sold and have waaay too many left the scent was just way too cloying for me !!

As a candle maker a candle that’s 10 lbs under $100🤔 most like petroleum paraffin and fragrance oils full of DEP chemical binders. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for

I feel like I need to try one but I’m still staring at my half full Nest Holiday monster that I don’t know what to do with. It started smoking so I don’t want to burn it but it is so massive, seems like a waste to toss. 🫤 The smoke factor on these huge candles give me pause.
Ohhhh no! Your big Holiday got sooty? That would make me sad. Nest candles are even more expensive. 3 wicks are the biggest I have gone with Nest personally.
@@MrKongsMom Yes it did soot. 😕 It was so expensive, I keep thinking I will come up with a use for all that wax. I think I just need to let it go (but save the beautiful jar).
